With Ceeren tugging lightly at your arm, you hurriedly trudge along behind her through the quagmire of sand that had been recently soaked in rain. The werewolves eyeing you up and down with razor sharp claws half raised as though ready to slice you apart at the slightest threat. Daedalus quietly commenting to you how the werewolves of Neeven would often meld metal into their claws to increase the durability and strength of their claws, a practice often done in adulthood when the claws had reached the final stages of growth and the wolfling was ready to join the ranks of warriors in guarding the islands from any would be enemies.

Spoiler: Spoiler
Daedalus: "First bred for war by the Dark Mages of BloodTides who wished to expand their holdings, they were used in a brutal war against the Fae'lon in the hopes of capturing the Eternal Flame and the fabled armour of the Lightbearer.
Captivated by the beauty of the islands and nobility of the elves, the werewolves gradually saw the Fae'lon not as their enemies but as their allies and fought back against the Dark Mages to gain their freedom and break free of their control.
Often seen as protectors and defenders of the light, they have taken on the role of guarding the Isles of Neeven so that no other dark forces may dare desecrate the Eternal Flame, the Capital of Neeven."
Young werewolves with dappled grey and white fur, peek their heads out from behind their mothers and fathers, their wide yellow eyes full of curiosity and wonder. Reminding you of when you were much younger and able to accomplish feats few fighters could ever manage. Still you can be remarkably quick if you wished to be, but that doesn't seem to bother as much as the way they look at. It was as though they were looking right past you, and not seeing anything. And no matter how you try to quiet the persistent nagging at the back of your mind, you feel something was off and yet Daedalus has not warned you of any danger?
You consider asking Daedalus to find out how far he is able to detect danger, but do not wish to giveaway his presence just yet, although Daedalus should be able to hear your thoughts, but for some reason he has gone quiet, which only further raises your suspicions.
Waiting for them with arms crossed over his chest was a scarred, grizzled warrior with dark grey fur, a slim waist and wide shoulders. The instant you come face to face with the Grey One, you knew you were facing a warrior that might be your equal in battle, his many scars telling the tale of hundreds of encounters and weary eyes showing the caution of those who'd learnt not to trust easily.

With Daedalus strangely silent for the moment, you move forward to greet the warrior and do your best to imitate Ceeren, who bows her head down before lifting it back up. "Father, I've brought you a friend, who seeks our help."
The older werewolf growled, his face hot with rage barely held in check. "What you've brought Ceeren is a stranger!"
Ceeren quailed at the harshness of his voice and took a step back, her emotions flowing so easily across her face that for a moment you fear she would begin to cry.
Quacking with fear, she opened her mouth to plead her case, but you decide this would be an opportune time to intervene. "I did not wish to disturb your peace Grey One, but I do need your help.I need information and supplies. As soon as I have both I will leave. I swear I do not wish to bring you or any of your people any harm."
Steel claws flashed in the air to rest against your throat, the cold metal feeling icy against your skin, a thin trickle of blood sliding down your throat. "You'd best remember your promise then outlander for we do not tolerate liars here, now ask your questions and be off with you. I have much to prepare for and it seems my daughter has failed to fulfill her duty, so I must send others to attend to her task."
Ceeren her shoulders slumped with shame and embarrassment, feebly kicked at the dirt at her feet, her ears sloped downward looking utterly forlorn. And for a brief second, you think you may have overreacted at the strange reception.
Anger draining from his face, Ceeren's father cupped his daughter's chin in between his claws and looked up into her bright golden colored eyes with a small gentle smile upon his lips. "Go, go tell mother we have a guest."
Eyebrows lifted upwards in surprise, Ceeren darted away with a gleeful smile plastered across her lips as she raced along the muddy beach. The old warrior watching her go with a wistful expression, that soon hardened once more. "Speak warrior, I have much to do and little time to do it."
Daedalus exploded back into your mind, whispering questions one after the other, the former mage extremely intrigued by the presence of werewolves on Gilgathan. Shushing him silently, you ask, "I am curious to learn how have you survived in this place?"
Ganrel chuckled at the question exposing elongated teeth, before waving for you to follow after him. He leads you further along the shoreline where you see warriors going through their battle forms by the sea. The werewolves leaping and striking each other with such speed and dexterity, that if were not for the fact they were using the back of their claws, they would most certainly have killed each other.

Ganrel watched the training exercises for a moment before returning his attention back towards you. "You want to know how we survive here. This is how survive warrior. Our young are taught to hunt, fight and track, and each day we move our camp from place to place to confuse our enemies. Even our most sacred ritual the Break of Dawn is done to remove our scent from the wind, but even that sometimes is not enough. This place is our home, but it is also our grave. Our punishment for breaking the laws of our peoples."
Disappointed by the answer, you catch sight of two warriors gracefully moving across the sand before pouncing forward to meet each other in a swirl of dust, their movements swift and sure, claws meeting again and again to create sparks that floated in the air.
Daedalus his curiosity unsated, spoke again, "Ask him what his punishment was for?Ask him." Muttering underneath your breath, you reply, "Why don't you just ask him?"An act which you instantly regret.
Ganrel shoots you a strange look as though you've lost your mind as you try your best to act as though nothing out of the ordinary has happened.
"I can't ask him that, we can't allow too many people to learn of my existence. Who knows what intentions these people would have for me or you?"said Daedalus.
"You were fine with revealing yourself to Ceeren," you whisper accusingly.
"That was different, I could sense no darkness within her, I am certain she will not betray you. He however, I see spots of darkness within him. You cannot trust him."
"Who are you speaking to?"asked Ganrel.
You raise your hands up innocently. "No one, just thinking out loud, makes it easier to plan things."
Ganrel nodded his head, but you can tell, he does not believe your words, the grizzled werewolf showing a gleam of interest in his amber coloured eyes that quickly disappears. "Come then, Panella will have prepared a meal for us by now."
Nodding your head, you let Ganrel lead the way back, both of you silent for the moment. Daedalus words rebounding back and forth across your mind, adding further to your unease.
Together you travel further inland to a small stand of trees where Panella waits for you. A tall, willowy werewolf with light grey fur and warm smile, she beckons you forward. While Ceeren excitedly explains to her how she'd met you in the forest, in between bites of what looked to be some kind of dried brown bread.
Taking a seat beside Cereen, Panella hands you a plate covered with a pieces of cooked fish and brown bread. You take a sniff at both and hear no warnings from Daedalus, so take a bite from each, the spices she'd put in the food shooting a burst a flavor through your mouth, which somehow stimulate every single sense. "What kind of bread is this? It tastes delicious." (+10 Health Points +3 Mana)
Panella smiled again, clearly pleased by the compliment, giving her a certain beauty that you could have found alluring, if not for the presence of her mate, who snorted and took a seat beside her. "We call it Spice Bread, our people harvest it from the Flame mushrooms that dot this land and warm it beneath the fire to bring it's flavors to life."
The bread had a rich texture that filled the belly and warmed the insides, giving you a giddy feeling that made you feel slightly lightheaded.

Spoiler: Spoiler
Having barely eaten in days, you clean your plate quickly and ask for more, Ceeren laughing gleefully doing the same, both of you showing their empty plates to Panella, who shoots you an amused look and hands each of you more bread to swallow, until finally you're full. (+10 Health Points + 3 Mana -20 Resilience for duration of this scenario.)
Having had your fill, you relax by the tree and for the first time in many days you feel safe here, though in truth you know it to be far from safe.
"You may rest here with us to tonight and tomorrow you will leave,"said Ganrel.
1. Do you leave in the morning?
2. Do you slip away during the night?
3. Do you call upon the magic of the cloak to protect you while you sleep?(Shield Spell -5 Mana)

A Bloody Game
Eric Hunter, a boy who took a gamble with his life on the line, soon finds out that the pay off took a very different direction that he thought. Having just awoken from a pre-op only to find himself confused and all alone in a changed world and a hospital consumed by chaos he must do all he can to survive. In a new world where society crumbles and laws are merely pretty words on written paper, how will a boy who has been restricted his whole life live now that there is nothing to hold him back? When everything turns into a zero sum game of dog eat dog, they'll find that The Hunter is an all too willing participant, but he will soon find out that he isn't the only player of this game. First story I'm posting and I don't really have a cool synopsis, sorry everyone, but this story is just another LitRPG apocalypse. I guess the only difference is that the main character isn't a hero. He's not here to save the world, he's not here to make friends, and he's definitely not here to save everyone. He's probably what the villains in other similar stories would be actually. Just writing for fun, advice or constructive critism is welcomed, writing style prone to change. Warning: Incredible amounts of poor grammar, Gore, Profanities, Traumatizing content, and cliches(I plan to have multiple main characters, maybe this is too ambitious for my poor skills, but it seems like it would be fun to try, the other MCs won't show up until later on.) The cover image isn't mine I just found it online. It's a piece by Stephanie Frey This takes inspiration from a lot of great stories on here, but I find the beginning to be most similar to Blood Lust by DefinitelyNotJormlung. Starcraft and Warhammer 40k and survival world rpg by S_Conary will also influenced this (at least that's my plan if I ever get that far or finish this) Also please stay with me until chapter 3. I suck at starting stories, but have been told I get better as I'm further along.

Skeleton Sovereign?
A lawyer, along with ten thousand other people, is kidnapped by the Heavenly Demon of Decay to participate in a campaign against the Monarch of Everglades. The Heavenly Demon of Decay, has chosen these ten thousand people to be the captains of his 100 man squads, saying that beings of lower realms are easier to boost temporarily. Our lawyer didn’t complain much at that. A generic hero summoned to another world setting, he thought. And as he didn’t have any family or much attachment to his previous world, he even liked his situation. But that was until he found out, that the “Heavenly Demon of Decay” was a necromancer. And that he along with millions of other humans, and various beings, were processed into undead soldiers. ‘Well fuck!’, he thought. And after being equipped with high quality equipment, and being robbed of his free will, he marched, along with billions of other horrifying undead, against the Monarch of the Everglades. But his poor luck didn’t end there. The Heavenly Demon of Decay, and his army lost. But the worst part was, they left him behind while retreating. Now, he is stuck behind in a huge jungle, full of various monsters, where every moment he must struggle for his life. But isn’t he already dead? This thought only serves to incense him further. But that is not all to his story, he finds that he is in a different, more powerful world, where wizards, warriors, dragons, dungeons but most importantly “CULTIVATION” exists. Albeit not very Chinese, but cultivation nonetheless. But, can a skeleton even cultivate? Not a native english speaker. So don't expect impeccable grammar. Although I do try my best, this is also my first novel so pointers are appreciated. Haters, just stop reading if you don't like it. Please don't spoil my mood by evil comments.

Someone Like Adam
"You know, it won't physically hurt you to be nice for once." I crossed my arms in front of my chest and groaned. "I don't want to take a chance." the corner of his lips lifted a little as he finished his sentence. "Well, you don't hear me complaining. The view of a someone so desperately working out is not a delight either." I retorted in a weary voice. "I bet it isn't." he narrowed his eyes at me and commented. Ugh.. Why is he so damn annoying? "You know what, just take your arrogant ass out of my room." I scowled at him, pointing towards the door. With small steps, he walked towards me. I took a step backwards when he neared me. He was invading my personal space, making me a bit flustered. The urge to push back his golden-brown hair covering his forehead was increasing with every passing second. "Gladly." he mumbled against my face and then walked past me out of my room. It took me a minute to calm down my racing heartbeat. ... He was a mystery, an enigma I wanted to solve. He was exhausting, he was infuriating, yet staying away from him was not an option. He was making me feel things I haven't felt before. Adam McArdle!
