Choice Results are at the bottom of the page. Goodluck.
Stunned by the voice, you stand there gaping in disbelief, your mouth opening and closing like a caught fish, before asking, "Who--What are you?"
"I am Daedalus, though you may know me as the Wind that Shifts the Sun, a spirit taken from the world below. My previous master, had me woven into the fabric of this cloak to aid him in battle and serve as his protector. Though I fear without my gloves, tunic, trousers and boots I'am but a shell of my former power."
You'd heard tell tales of enchanted items being imbued with the spirits from the dead, but had never really believed they had existed, and to have found one here of all places, and to learn there were more...This was simply too unbelievable.
You try to take off the cloak, tugging at the fabric but for some reason it remains fixed to your shoulders like an implacable enemy, refusing to budge an inch. "Why can't I remove you?"
"As to that, my former Master Karesto, feared that I would wander off somehow if I were not bound to his life force, so he invoked an ancient spell to bind man and cloak as one. This way he would not lose me in battle or have his corpse desecrated. However he did not count on the spell transferring on to the next user once he passed away. Ancient magic is quiet complicated and few if any learn to master it. I myself have only dabbled a little in the arts, before being forced into servitude."
Brows half furrowed in curiosity, you ask,"What sort of aid did you provide this Karesto?"
At the question, you feel as though the cloak or Daedulus as his liked to be called light up with interest, his voice becoming quite cheerful. "Why I can serve you in many ways, Master? I can offer you guidance and advice, company on the road and most importantly access to my large repertoire of spells. Of course this would mean having to rest occasionally to recharge my limited mana, and you would not be able to use more powerful spells till you gain the rest of me, but I can serve in whatever manner you deem fit.
In a dry voice he continued, "My former master oft used me as a shield...In any case here are a list of spells at your disposal."
Level 1 Spells
Light
Mana cost: 1
Daedalus, "Not exactly the deadliest spell in my inventory, but it should prove useful for those dark places you adventurers love to crawl about in."(Option will occasionally appear throughout the story.)

Enchanted dagger
Mana cost: 2
Daedalus, "I can summon a dagger from the demon plane for you to use in battle. A decent enough tool that can be used for hacking away at nasty obstructions I've found."(Enchanted dagger - 5 damage.)
Awareness
Mana cost: 3
Daedalus, "Will give you a better sense of your surrounding and the ability react to danger much faster, although my most recent master Waqriyul preferred using it when he hunted. A deadly sport if I may say so." (- 8 Damage)
Firebolt
Mana cost: 4
Daedalus, "Another favorite of Waqriyul, he did so enjoy watching things burn."(Option will occasionally appear throughout the story.)
Shield
Mana cost: 5
Daedalus, "Karesto would often say that I was the best shield he had ever used, though the compliment was fairly innocuous considering he would use me like a battering ram and allow me to be singed. Something which never failed to amuse him."(+15 Resilience)
Hmmm, maybe you hadn't lucked out after all, most of these spells did appear useful if not a little weak, but it was much better than nothing which is exactly what you would have had if you had not picked up the cloak. "And how exactly do I recharge your mana?"
"There are two possible ways you can do this, you can meditate alone for several hours in complete silence or eat food. Both of these will help speed my regeneration." (Option 1 - Add 1 mana each time you complete a scenario without using any mana in that scenario. Option 2 - In your journey through the forest look out for opportunities to hunt for food.)
Sounds simple enough. (You may only select two choices before moving onward with your journey.
With daylight beginning to fade once more, you travel westwards beneath the shade of the great trees, while Daedalus regales you with more tales of his many adventures and stories of his former masters.
"Karesto had been my first master, but unfortunately he was not the last, his power was such that even the very cloth I was imbued within never faded or grew ragged with age. After his death, I was found by a pair of goblins that had fought each other over me, only to find myself being used as a common sack to carry his meager belongings. I think his name was Grumel, a disgusting creature with a rather horrendous stench that smelled somewhat of puke.
He was then slain by some sell sword, who called himself Dane. We got on rather well together even if the dolt was a bit too crude for my tastes, but I cannot really be picky about the company I keep. Then there was some Redling noble, I can't quite remember his name, but he had a way of belching that could shake the very rafters--

At first you pretend to listen to his prattling, but once you realise the damn fool won't shut up, you snap, "--Can you please keep quiet! I'm trying to think!"
You sense a touch of disappointment from the cloak. "As you wish master."
"Good." With Daedalus finally silent, you study the forest for danger and hear muffled footsteps coming from behind you. And immediately curse the cloak for talking so much and obscuring it's sound.
You consider whirling about to startle the creature that is following you, but fear you may lose your one advantage of surprise.
3. Do you whirl about and release a fire bolt simultaneously? (Cost 4 mana)
Preferring to rely upon your deadly instincts, you whirl around to try and catch the creature off guard, your fingers about to release a fire bolt, before gaping openly in surprise, your jaw hanging open so wide it was like you'd tried to swallow a whole Bellow-Heart.
Half crouched, hidden beside a tree limb was a small female werewolf, her fur white as snow sprinkled in with grey. Her wide round eyes staring at you curiously.
The lightness of her fur, meant she was very young and yet she was wandering around the forest on her own? Or was this some kind of trap to let down your guard.
You scan the forest behind the she-wolf for signs of her friends, when Daedalus piped up, "Have no fear she is on her own and is quite harmless."
"And how would you know that?"
Daedalus gives a snort of amusement, "Trust me I know, I would have warned you of any danger."
Ears pricked, the female pup slid out of her hiding place with a baffled expression on her face, her nose sniffing the air. "Who are you talking to?"
"Why he is talking to me of course, I am Daedalus, a pleasure to make your acquaintance, and you are?"
The girl's yellow eyes widened open in surprise as she searched around her for the source of the voice. "Where are you hiding, I cannot see you?"
You let out a heavy sigh, knuckling your fingers to your forehead in annoyance. "Daedalus is my cloak, well at least he is the spirit that resides within my cloak."
If the shock of hearing a voice out of nowhere surprised her, the revelation that your cloak was enchanted only seemed to excite her. She edged forward further out into the clearing. "I am Cereen. It is nice to meet you too," she said.
"What are you doing out here in the forest on your own?" You ask.
Cereen shrugged her shoulders. "My father sent me to gather herbs from the forest. We are to celebrate the Break of Dawn."
Break of Dawn? Was that kind of ceremony? Before you could even formulate the question, Daedalus replied, "Why yes master, the werewolves of Neeven would oft bless each new day with a ceremony to thank the Lord of Light for his protection during the night."
Ceeren nodded her head happily. "Father says we need gather fresh herbs, so we may cleanse our spirits."
That meant there had to a village nearby, a place where you could shelter for the night, gather your strength and collect supplies for the journey. Although it was passing strange that these werewolves would live out here of all places. Did they not fear the giants that roamed this forest? Or even better, have they found a way to keep the giants at bay?
"Can you take me to your village? I would like to meet your father."
Ceeren pursued her lips and rocked back and forth on her heels. "I don't know, father really doesn't like strangers, and if I return with nothing I will be punished."
"You won't be alone, I will let him know, I asked you for your help and you gave it to me."
Her face lit up with a smile that quickly broadened into a wide grin that showed off her pointed teeth. The young she-wolf more than likely happy to just be away from doing her chores. "Follow me."
Ceeren set a harsh, grueling pace through the forest, following tracks you could not see, her feet leading her unwaveringly through the trees with no hesitation. By midday, you reach the outskirts of a small village resting beside the Dragon's throat. With not a single thatched roof or mud brick home to be seen in sight. Dozens of werewolves prowl the area, collecting wood, skinning hobs or sharpening claws with a few of them glancing in your direction before continuing on with their work as though you weren't even there.
Ceeren tugs your arm lightly, "Come on, my father will be waiting for me?"

Kingdom of Tyr (Original)
This fiction has been concluded as of the end of Book 1, the portion of the story posted here. There will be a complete rewrite as a separate fiction in the future to make the system more consistent and add more to the world while expanding on the events within this fiction. This rewrite will begin eventually, posted as a separate story. Colt, twelve, is walking home from school when he's approached by another boy dressed oddly, who asks him - theoretically - about living in another world. After asking some information about the theoretical other world, Colt says he'd probably prefer to live there, to get away from the problems he has on Earth. Once Colt confirms that, he finds himself in an abandoned city, the other boy revealing himself to be a god, who then offers to train Colt until he can stand on his own and live by himself. After a couple of months, the god sends Colt off for greater training, to learn to use both Aura and Mana, with his only instructions being to return every now and then to visit, and to make friends and have lots of fun. This story follows Colt, a boy named Tyler he meets in the new city, and their journey to growing stronger, having fun, and striving to beat each other. Note: this story is not intended to be professional-quality, and it does draw inspiration from many sources. That said, it is its own story, in its own world. It has never been and never will be edited. It will also have multiple PoV's, starting somewhere after Chapter 8.

No Easy Mode
Reincarnation isn't easy, Sure you might have a status menu but unlike a video game the training is real, the blood, sweat, and tears are real. Unfortunately for Samuel Erasi Fuller he found out that no amount of video game knowledge can prepare you for a world of skills, attributes and magic and even his top notch survival skills only go so far when there are beasts that shoot fireballs or move like a bolt of lighting. Worse yet there are no levels of skills just a name and description and a percentage display! Edit: Yes the poorly done cover is my personal work. Drawing anything using your finger and an app on your phone was not as easy as the tutorial made it look!
