《Tales of Demons and Dragons - An Original Xianxia GameLit》Chapter 205 - Carpool

THIS MIGHTY KEVIN IS BORED, HUMAN!
Jacob almost fell forward while packing the last stuff he needed.
“What the hell, Kevin, you almost gave me a heart attack,” Jacob grimaced.
THIS GREAT KEVIN HAS WAITED LONG ENOUGH. WHY DIDN’T YOU SET UP THE TRAINING FOR YOUR PUNY AND RIDICULOUS SPECIES!
Jacob sometimes forgot he had a talking sword with a God complex. Kevin slumbered for days without saying a word, at times. The sword was now referring to the special capability it possessed, the same one that had made possible to create Forbidden Techniques.
“Setting up such a space for multiple people requires a proper Formation,” he sighed.
WELL, ARRANGE IT!
“It’s not that easy, Kevin. You need resources we don’t have at the moment. I can’t draw such a Formation with weak blood, or it would probably explode.”
PUNY HUMAN! DON’T LIE TO THIS GREAT KEVIN! YOU SPENT EONS FIDDLING AROUND WITH THAT STUPID PATCH OF DIRT!
Kevin was speaking of the Alchemical Garden.
“It’s different. The Ancient Formation there is the core. To expand the radius, we can just build small relays and refresh them once a month or so. To build the Formation needed for your capabilities, we need something much more powerful since we would be building from scratch. And even with the Alchemical Garden it will take more time to properly expand it. The Ancient Formation we unveiled has properties that we didn’t even imagine. We might be able to make it huge. But it will take time, Kevin. The same goes for the Formation we need if you don’t want a hundred people trying to touch your hilt at once.”
THIS GREAT KEVIN WOULD VERY LIKE IF HIS HILT REMANEID UNTOUCHED BY FURTER FILTHY HUMAN HANDS!
“Whatever you say, buddy,” Jacob snorted.

CAN THIS GREAT KEVIN EXPECT THERE TO BE SOME STUPID MONSTER OR PUNY HUMANS TO CUT ANYTIME SOON?
“You bet,” Jacob laughed.
PERFECT.
After that, Kevin fell silent again.
Jacob sometimes wondered about the identity of Kevin. It seemed like the sword did not retain any memories from his life. Or if it did, it wasn’t clear. The only thing Jacob knew for sure was that Kevin was a man. Man and women had different souls and they would carry that one property through their ethereal journey.
It was weird, Jacob thought. But it was what it was.
…
“So, Hektor, if you two start anything…” Jacob let the words hung above their heads.
“I’m not going to start anything!” Hektor said, offended that Jacob would suggest something like that.
“And if even she starts anything and then you fall for it,” Jacob put a finger up, extending his whole arm. Even with their difference in height, the finger threatened to poke out Hektor’s eye.
“Jaji-boy, I’m not happy about this arrangement,” Epagogia displayed a disgusted expression while her finger went back and forth from pointing to her and Hektor.
“I know. But please, make it work somehow. We have to save those people from the Plague Doctor if the man’s been there. You know how terrible it can get.”
Epagogia nodded ruefully.
“I’m glad that you are bringing your personal harem after what you did to me. It should teach those two girls something about men,” Epagogia said with a sly smile.
Jacob shut both his eyes tightly before turning toward Juliet and Helena, who had perked up at the ‘did to me’ part.
“What is she talking about?” Helena said with a smile.
Juliet didn’t say anything.
But Jacob felt an immense jealousy from their Ancestral Bond. Even if the girl wasn’t yet interested romantically in him, she still seemed to be very possessive.

She was a kid and Jacob wouldn’t resent her.
“We…” Jacob tried to find the right words for a situation where none were good enough.
“We had a couple of passionate kisses and so on. You two girls probably don’t know what two adults can do when they get very intimate together, do you?” Epagogia asked.
“Oh, shut up,” Jacob groaned.
“You two had sex?” Helena got a little pink saying that, but she still asked the question.
“No.”
“Yes.”
Those were Jacob’s and Epagogia’s responses.
“We didn’t, Eppy,” Jacob turned toward the purplish Devil and stared hard at her.
“Well, it does depend on your definition of—”
“Jacob, if you granted me the permission to shut up the woman, I would gladly do it in favor of your relationship with Helena. Unless, as always, you won’t consider…” Hektor winked at him.
What Jacob was considering was killing someone.
Maybe multiple people.
It would really relieve his nerves.
…
“So, you and Eppy were intimate behind our backs,” Helena said while they travelled North.
Jacob licked his lips, wishing that God would just strike him with his mightiest thunderbolt.
“We—did have some contact. We kissed under particular circumstances,” Jacob said.
“Well, don’t you act all regretful about kissing the busty Devil now that your love from your past life is here, huh?”
Jacob wasn’t sure when Helena thought she acquired the power to tease him ruthlessly. What he knew, however, was that she had even more power than she imagined.
The other person who knew that, beside Jacob, was staring daggers at him.
“This is not a cheap romance fiction, Helena,” Jacob sighed. “I share history with Epagogia. We kissed under particular circumstances and I made that clear to her. I do not intend to pursue a romantic relationship at the moment.”
“But you surely seem to think about a booty call,” Juliet said, adding at the end, “you slut.”
“Juliet, please,” Jacob whined.
“Helena, he has been very horny around Epagogia. I can tell you that.”

The Bronze Players of Recreation
The world of Creation has seen a recent explosion of what can only be called an adventurer’s culture over the past few decades. People who were once looked at as nothing more than lower class mercenaries rose to the ranks of heroes and legends as adventuring became recognized as an idealized lifestyle of overcoming hardship and finding triumph. With the establishment of a guild-based government system on the continent of Terramania, adventurers were soon legitimized and adventuring became a phenomenon universally accepted around the world. Redlette had retreated from this world to live on Earth for the remainder of her years, having been born and outcast by the gods of Creation. However, upon meeting a friend that she treasured dearly, she found herself longing for a return to her world—she wanted to experience it properly and go on adventures with someone whom she holds dear. Putting a plan into action, she meets with her friend, an awkward, nerdy boy by the username of Herring who she’d only known through years of playing online games with him, and invites him to go on this fantastic adventure with her. An adventure in another world had always been an impossible dream for Herring, but when he suddenly found himself with the opportunity to embark on one, he knew it wouldn’t be as simple as books and shows made it out to be. Redlette was notorious for rushing into things without thinking them through, and he was flighty and weak. In the games they played together, they rarely grasped victory. They were losers through and through, both in hobby and life. Despite this, though, he takes the leap and sets off with Redlette into the world of Creation. Together they only had one goal: to have fun and go on the adventure of their lives. This time, they’d establish a guild of their own and be free to take on whatever exploits their hearts desired. This is the story of the founding of their guild. Author’s Notes: -My writing style is largely based off of the absurd amount of light novels I’ve read and anime I’ve watched, so it may come off as cartoonish or exaggerative at times. If that isn’t your thing, I’d steer clear of this story.-Not an MMO story.-No numerical stats.-Relatively slow pacing.-Posts are between 2000-5000 words weekly after Chapter 1.
