《Exiled Aristocrat》Chapter 05: The Library.

Maa and I went to the library after I had finished my breakfast.
The second floor had four rooms: another dining room, one of the smallest rooms in the manor, a living room, and a library.
Based on how the other three rooms were presented, it was clear that the library took up at least half of the second floor, making it the manor's largest room.
Maa took an object from her pocket as we approached the door. The object in question was a golden key pendant.
"All you need to do to get into the library is wear this." She then put it on me. "Because it is said to be a magical item, I, as a commoner, am unable to use it. With that said, I will take my leave, I still have to get ready for tomorrow."
"Euh~ Okay. Thanks, Maa."
Maa appeared to be in a hurry to leave. I was even expecting her to accompany me inside to make sure there wasn't anything dangerous to me. But I suppose she has to follow some rules concerning rooms like this one.
I placed my hand on the doorknob; the door has a keyhole, but if what she said earlier is correct, the keyhole is only there as an ornament."
When I peeked through the gap, I couldn't see anything because apparently every window in the room was closed. I finally set foot inside the famous library, feeling even more curious about what was inside. As soon as I closed the door behind me, a strong source of light suddenly lit up, catching me off guard, causing me to unconsciously cover my eyes because they had begun to adjust to the surrounding darkness.
After a few seconds, I opened them and saw where the light was coming from. It was emitted by a chandelier and several wall lamps, thanks to which, I was able to see what was inside the library.

If I had to describe what I saw in one word, it would be "magnificent."
When Maa said that no one had access to the library, I imagined it to be a dusty room filled with books.
It was full of books, but they weren't dusty; instead, they were neatly stacked on their bookshelves. Because the floor was so clean, I could even see my reflection in it.
As expected the place is spacious.
Two long tables and several chairs are located in the center of the room. I could see a desk and three chairs in the other corner of the room.
I had expected a large number of books, and I was not disappointed.
Bookshelves were pinned on the four sides of the wall from ceiling to ceiling, giving the impression of being trapped, which was further amplified by the fact that there were no windows in this room.
There were so many books here that even if I spent my entire life here reading them, I doubt I'd be able to finish them all.
Okay, this may be an exaggeration, but all of this is to say that there were a lot of books inside this room.

I spent the rest of my day in the library, wandering through the shelves with no particular goal in mind, sitting on a desk when I came across a seemingly interesting book. I was simply curious as to what kind of books were available.
I'm not sure if I was a bookworm in a previous life, if I ever had one, but being surrounded by so many books gave me a certain sense of warmth.
Since that day, all I've done is go with the flow, well it's not like I could do anything else.
So far I’ve left my questions in suspense since I had no way to obtain any answers in the first place.

I had so many questions that were left unanswered:
Why am I this way? or, more precisely, why was I like that?
Why was I so... sentient? From what I could see from how Maa was treating me, that sort of thing isn’t normal.
There had to be something wrong with me. No, there's something seriously wrong with me. I came to this library hoping to find something that would enlighten me on my current situation.
Despite my reservations about finding an answer here. I still have a glimmer of hope; who knows, maybe I'll find something, it didn’t cost anything to try.
Thinking back, my language… the one I spoke, no, the one I thought with. I'm not even sure if I can call it a language.
Was it even a language?
I was astounded at how quickly I picked up on the language of this world. Shouldn't someone remember how to say a new word in their native language when learning a new word from another language? In my case, my brain would simply select the new word and replace it by completely obliterating from my memory the word I had previously used to define the object in question.
"Even thinking of it gives me headaches."
Those questions were so complicated that I decided to completely ignore their existence. But the time has come, I can’t go on like this forever. I have to at least try to find an answer to it.
I had a lot of questions about what had happened before that day, but I also had a lot of questions about what had happened since that day.
Regarding my birth, my mother, my father, and eventually me.
Maa informed me that my father is a noble, as is my grandfather, but things get complicated when it comes to my mother. The only things I knew about her were her appearance and the fact that she is not a member of the nobility. When I asked Maa about my parents, she confirmed that my father's family was pârt of nobility, but when I asked about my mother, she was suspiciously silent.
I'm curious how people, particularly nobility from this world, perceive children born of a noble and a commoner. Is it widespread? Is it uncommon?
I'm hoping to find books elaborating on these topics in this library. Maa appears to be optimistic about my return to where my parents are, but it's better to be prepared for what kind of welcome awaits me when the day arrives.

MY FAKE DUNGEON
Giant doors suddenly appeared all over the world. Alex knowing the truth, now has to wander beyond the doors to save his world. But he realized he alone wasn't enough so he sought help from the others, of which he called them... Players.. _______ A heads up, I'm sure you'd be able to infer from the synopsis, this is something like a dungeon owner mc but I just like to say that there is no heavy litrpg to this even thought the mc calls them players. No system (except for mc?) and no level up like that. Just mc trying to use people for his own good. If I had to describe this novel in three words it be, guns, despair, and monsters. WARNING: I'm a complete amateur at writing and my English sucks so.. yahh.. I will post these on other sites such as webnovel and scribblehub as well.
