Solo Player Arvin Chapter 128

The injured woman's condition improved by the dawn but still, she was unconscious. Arvin didn't know what else to do to make regain her consciousness. The only thing that he could do was move on. When coming from the first floor, Arvin had stored some wooden poles in case he has to make a hut, in case he needed a hut.
He took some of those poles out and tied them up together to make a board-like structure. Arvin then lifted the woman and made her lie on the board. He then covered her with a blanket. He planned that he would tie this board on the mount. With this, the mount will pull the board behind him as he moves. That woman was unconscious and there was no way hell he could travel with a woman in her condition on a camel. She would need all the rest that she could get.
By the morning the child seemed to have started trusting Arvin a little bit. He could see from her eyes that she was still a little bit wary of him. But who could blame her? In the morning both Arvin and the girl had some roasted meat as breakfast. And then the time came to move on.
Last night when Arvin saved the girl and the woman, he redirected the mount in the direction where the man and the woman fled on the other mount. As they came out of the camp together, he thought that maybe they were related. He had planned that he would hand over these two to those two and move on with the mount.
But now it seems that it was not possible. Arvin had come so far from the camp and yet he had not found any signs of both of them. So now he didn't know what to do next? He could resume his march towards the ascension tower. But then what would he do with these two?
Even if he starts moving towards the ascending tower then what if this woman dies in the middle if her condition worsened? That is why having breakfast Arvin was thinking about what should be his next move. It was then he had an idea…
After breakfast, Arvin sat with the child with a map of the third floor opened up between them…
"Now I know that you can understand me. So I need you to give me some answers. You understand?" Arvin said. To which girl just stared at him giving him no response of any kind.

"I would assume that you understood what I was saying. So do you know in which direction should we go?" Arvin asked. Same as before, the girl looked at Arvin with a blank face.
"Look I need you to understand something. I am not a doctor. That woman there is injured. And she needs immediate medical attention. And I cannot give that to her. I gave her a potion that could cure her poisoning. But if any other complication occurs then I am sorry I won't be of any help. So if you know in which direction we could move then you should tell me right now." Arvin said while putting the compass in front of her.
Arvin assumed that there was a very small chance that this girl might know where they should go. After all, she was just a kid. But if she does then she would be of great help to him. So Arvin thought that it wouldn't be very bad to ask her directly.
The girl then got up and pointed towards a city called Blue city. Arvin looked at the city in question. He then turned towards her and asked…
"You know the direction to this city?" Arvin asked. To which girl shakes her head, refusing.
"Is this place your home or someplace where he could get help?" Arvin asked. To this, the girl nodded her head with approval.
"Did your caravan was moving towards in the direction of this city?" Arvin asked. To this question, the girl nodded.
That was it. Arvin got the direction where he needs to go. Arvin packed all the blankets and started moving towards the camp where they ran away from. But instead of going back by retracing their steps, Arvin planned his path such that he would be able to bypass the camp by a huge distance. This way he would be able to avoid anyone that was still lurking around the camp. He was happy that he noted the direction that he came from last night.
Arvin wanted to stay away from the camp as he didn't want to get involved in this whole situation. So After trekking for about 6-7 hours slowly, Arvin came to a place where he could see the burned camp. But he was some distance from it. So Arvin from there continued his journey towards the direction the caravan was moving.

While moving Arvin let the girl sit with him on the mount while the woman was left covered with a blanket and was being dragged on board by the camel-like animal that Arvin was riding. And it was during the evening the woman in question finally regained her conscious.
….
Arvin was riding the mount while reading a book about magic circles when sensed movement from behind him. He saw that the woman in question had woken up and was sitting on the board looking left and right. Seeing that Arvin stopped the mount and climbed down the mount. The kid also climbed down and was very happy to see that woman had woken.
As soon as she came down, she came running towards the woman and gave her a big hug…
"Tamaria… You are fine? Are you hurt somewhere?" the woman said while hugging the girl back.
As the woman hugged the kid, it was then she realized that she was hugging her barechested. She was not wearing anything on her torso. Which made me curious about why was she naked. It was then she noticed the presence of Arvin.
The woman stopped hugging the girl and she pushed the girl behind her back. Looking at this action, Arvin smiled and said…
"Don't worry. I am not into little girls." Arvin said.
"Who are you?" the woman asked.
"Well, it comes as a surprise to me that you don't recognize me… It seems that I am not that famous." Arvin said. After this woman was the only person that didn't recognize him after seeing his face.
"Wait… You are Lopt. The wanted criminal by the Aurora clan." The woman said while standing up and taking a defensive stance while protecting the girl behind her.
"You know the only crime that I ever did was drink saher450. It was a travesty. And it was the only major crime that I ever did." Arvin said. But his sentence didn't calm the situation a little bit…
"What do you want?" the woman asked.
"Well for starters you should say that 'I want you to say thank you with the bottom of my heart'. I did save your life and your kid back there yesterday night." Arvin said.
"You saved us?" the woman asked.
"Yes. You can ask the kid on your back. She was there during the whole procedure. I detoxified you poison that you got from the arrow. And then stitched you up real good." Arvin said.
"Is the truth?" the woman asked Tamaria. To which she replied yes by nodding her head. Then the woman turned towards Arvin and asked…
"Why did you help us?" she asked.
"I don't know. I wanted to steal the mount and get the fuck out of there. But I felt like that if I would make a big mistake if I leave you out there. So now you are here." Arvin said.
"Well, I am grateful that you decided to help us." The woman said.
"Ok… That isn't a thank you but I will take it. Now how are you feeling?" Arvin asked.
"I am fine. Where are we going?" The woman asked.
"Well, Tamaria over here told me that you guys were heading towards somewhere called the Blue City. So we are moving towards the city's direction." Arvin said.
"Blue city? Ok."
"Cool. I think we should camp here right here. We have a lot of distance to cover. And quite frankly you could need a good meal." Arvin said.
"Ok… And one more thing… Where are my clothes?" the woman asked.
"Well during the procedure to save you I have to cut off your clothes. And as for the reason the I didn't your melons again as I think that they look good unrestrained." Arvin said and then he went away to make a camp…
Arvin fed the mount, created a fire, and then set up the tent. While on the other hand that woman and kid were busy talking to each other. They were talking in sign language so Arvin didn't understand what they were talking about. But he thought that it was rude of them that they were letting him do all the work while they gossiped with each other on the side.

For those unfamiliar with my writing style, Second Chances was my first attempt at writing. I'm not sure how much I learned in the process, except that readers get angry when you mess with characters they like! Warnings - I tend to info dump. I know I do this, I like slice of life novels that take time to unfold. So don't expect action, murder, and battles in every chapter, it isn't going to happen I prefer the first-person narrative. I will do an occasional POV shift, but it will never be done mid-chapter. I hope you enjoy the story, comments, ratings, and favorites are greatly appreciated!

QQQQ

Does that mean it shouldn't exist? Of course not. In this universe, everything has a place. Cosmic balance, Karma, God's plan, the laws of physics—they're all trying to describe the same thing. There is nothing that exists without purpose, and nothing without purpose that can exist. You can take solace in knowing that, just like the useless letter Q, you have birthright to exist in this world. Nothing can take that from you.
