Solo Player Arvin Chapter 92

{Alright alright, your master teacher Loki would help you understand the super OP skill that you have got.} Loki said.
'…'
{You know I could use some more enthusiasm.} Loki said.
'….'
{…}
'COME ON!!' Arvin shouted.
{Alright… So Arvin do you understand what is the meaning of skill?} Loki asked.
'A skill can be defined as the ability to do something well' Arvin said.
{That is correct. Normally one has to repeat the same activity for a very long time till that person could gain enough experience that he/she could do that activity even in their sleep. Only then that activity is called a skill of a person. But this definition varies based on human to human …} Loki then went on to tell a long 15 min lecture in which he talked about skill.
'….'
{What? Did you got mesmerized by my teaching style? I know I am very impressive.} Loki said.
'So what does your lecture has to do with the skill?' Arvin asked.
{Bit*h I gave you 15 min explanation and still you can't understand the use of the skill… Dude, you dumb.} Loki said.
'…'
{You dumb.} Loki said while teasing Arvin.
'Could you please not waste my time?'
{Alright… Now answer my question. What makes someone is the difference between a noob sword user and a swordmaster.} Loki asked.
'Experience? Sword Master has a lot of experience with a sword.'
{Correct. In simple words, swordmasters have a lifetime's worth of experience in handling the sword. While a noob lacks that.}
'So?'
{Ok, this skill lets you absorb the experience of skill from a dead person's soul.}
'So?'
{Think of it like this. What would happen if you absorb all the knowledge and experience of a swordmaster? And think about it very carefully.} Loki asked.
'So this skill let me do that?' Arvin asked after thinking about it for few seconds.
{That is its purpose.} Loki said.
'F*CK!!! That is too insane.' Arvin screamed in astonishment.
Absorbing the experience of a skilled person won't help Arvin in gaining the highest proficiency in the skill within a few seconds. But with the knowledge and experience, Arvin would be able to increase their proficiency in a skill at an abnormal level with enough practice. This skill was way too OP. The only thing that was wrong with the skill was that Arvin could use this skill only once every 6 months.

Having this skill meant that if he could get his hands on a stronger magician's soul then maybe he would be able to master the art of magic casting in very little time. Or if he uses this skill on a person which is very skilled in using weapons then he would be able to learn and master his ax to a whole new level…
'So using this skill, I could target only one skill? Cant I use two skills?' Arvin asked
{No.} Loki said
'Here another question… Can learn affinities from this skill?' Arvin asked
{No. Affinity is depended on one's body. So no you cannot learn other affinities from your skill.} Loki said.
'Ok, so here is another question… What about the skills…' Arvin was about to ask when he was cut off in between.
{No you can not.} Loki said.
'You didn't even hear what I was about to say.' Arvin said.
{I didn't need to. I knew what you were about to ask. Arvin, you could only learn the skill that the other person had managed to cultivate because of hard work. A skill that was granted by gods cannot be gained by soul reading.} Loki said.
'Could you please elaborate?' Arvin asked
{Think of it like this. You are a woman with a flat chest. Now if you want to increase your cup size then you have to knead those bad boys relentlessly and without skipping for every single day. Then only your cup size will increase.} Loki said.
'…..'
{Now with your skill you will be able to gather experience of all those days when you squeezed those bad boys.} Loki said.
'…'
{But if a handsome god like myself increases the cup size by my magic then there will be no experience for you to gather in the first place.} Loki said.
'…'
{Similarly your skill shapeshifter. You have the skill as it was me who granted it to you. A similar thing could be said about your soul reading skill, stealth, fluid body, etc. That is why one cannot copy skills like this with soul reading.} Loki said.
'But someone can copy my mana meditation as this was a skill that I got through practice and hard work.' Arvin asked.
{Correct. Someone if were to use the soul reading skill on you then he/she would be able to gather experience of your mana meditation. But that will not increase their proficiency in that skill.} Loki said.

'I got it now.' Arvin said.
{You better understand it. Cause I am not wasting my time in making you another lecture.} Loki said.
'Ok… Just one more thing… How can I use this skill? Like if I have a corpse with me then I could use that skill on that corpse?' Arvin asked.
{It depends. To use the skills few conditions should be met. If your target fulfills any of the conditions then soul reading could be used…
1>A corpse should be not older than 5 mins.
2>If the corpse is obliterated somehow then one could use the skill on the deceased person's soul.
3>This skill does not work on high-level beasts. This skill could only be used on either humans or demi-humans.
4>This skill could work on other species, it solely depends on the intelligence of those beings.}
'Ok… What are demi-humans?' Arvin asked.
{In Yggdrasil various species could be found. Species that have human characteristics mixed with characteristics of an animal are called demi-humans. Like the cat people, they have characteristics of a human as well as some weird a*s cat.}
Now as Arvin understood what he had gained from Hela as a skill, he moved on to the other loots that he got this day. Arvin then brought out three different rings that he had looted from the corpses of the Alman and Park Go Gum and his gang. All of them had spatial rings when they died.
Arvin didn't understand how his inventory works. According to Loki concept of his inventory was far beyond what his stupid brain could understand. And that was true. And when Arvin found about things called spatial rings, he didn't take much time to digest this information. After all, a spatial ring was not that weird when compared to his inventory.
Arvin took out all the four rings that he got from those four…
'So how do I open it?'
{You just have to insert your mana inside the ring, you will be able to feel the items that are inside the ring. Then you have to grab the items that you want to take out.} Loki said.
'Got it.' Arvin said.
Then Arvin one by one started emptying the rings one by one. And one by one Arvin made a heap of things of all the items. And then he started sorting them one by one. Arvin found some clothes that were not of his taste. So he decided that he would dump them somewhere.
Arvin was able to get his hands and some different potions bottles. From Alman, Arvin was able to get a book about potions. And that book's name was 'The Rare and Precious potions and their uses'. As the name suggests that book only told Arvin about rare and precious potions. But it didn't have any information regarding the normal potions.
Arvin was able to recognize the invigorating potion because of that book. That is how he was able to fool Park Go Gum, easily. But the rest of the potions that he got from Alman were a mystery to him. Then today, Park Shin Hye gave Arvin a potion that she referred to as a healing potion. Arvin recognized that potion instantly.
He had that type of potion in stalk thanks to Alman. But as he now knew that it was a healing potion he now knows it uses too. Arvin recognized that all those four monsters had this red color potion with them. And thus thinking logically Arvin concluded that this potion is the type of potion that could be used when someone is injured or something like that.
He wanted to try it out but he then decided against it. Arvin decided that using the potion without the knowledge of how it works was a dangerous venture. After all the injuries that one sustains are fundamentally different. So he didn't know whether this potion would heal external injuries or internal injuries. And without any prior knowledge, it would be foolish to try to consume these potions.
Arvin didn't get any books or materials that could help in any way. As for the weapons, he got deadly-looking knives from each one of their rings. Seeing different types of knives, Arvin then abruptly remember a detail that he had forgotten.
'F*CK… I totally forgot about the Alman's arms.' Arvin said as he remembered that he had a bunch of arms lying in his inventory.

Healing Dungeon
// DUNGEON Mechanics will start to appear around chapter 100+/Arc 3 of the story! \ Avan, a 25-year-old young man, is torn from his rather boring life. He awakens in Aorus, a world full of magic, monsters and dungeons. By a stroke of luck and an ominous skill called "Potential", he awakens a new class never seen before called Dungeonheart (Human). Dungeons, although sentient, are never sapient nor mobile. Join Avan as he pursues his passion for healing and martial arts, and building his very own dungeon at the same time. He’s the hybrid of a moving dungeon and a healer. "Healing Dungeon" will include City building, strategy, very little romance, exploration of the world of Aorus, and a touch of power levelling. (There are elements from other fantasy novels, as well as anime, games, and more). What will all be possible with a dungeon that can move, but still brings some of the familiar dungeon mechanics along for its journey? -- Please note that the beginning and thus the first chapters were really my first writing works in english, and can only be rewritten at a later time (lack of time in favor for new chapters) --(The writing style and also the story improves VERY much from the 12th chapter at the latest! Proofreading is available, but I depend on any well-intentioned advice from you guys). If you have any questions, suggestions, constructive criticism, or just because you feel like it, feel free to leave me a comment below the respective chapters!For every positive and serious review or rating, I am infinitely grateful! ;) I am a creature of few words and the beginning is therefore a little faster than I would have liked it now in retrospect. Please do not expect huge paraphrases and descriptions of the environments, but only what is really necessary to get into the scene. Cheers and hopefully see you in the comment section.
