Solo Player Arvin Chapter 88

{Ok if you have already made up your mind then so be it. I will try to assist you. If you have any questions regarding the casting feel free to ask me.} Loki said.
Loki wanted Arvin to form a battle sense. He wanted him to learn and adapt in a battle. That is why he said that he would help him when he would be casting magic. Although Loki knew that theoretically, it would be a little bit difficult for Arvin to cast the magic circle. After all, he had never done it before and combined with the pressure from an upcoming battle it would be very hard for him to concentrate.
Arvin made a bad decision when he put back his ax in his inventory. He didn't know whether the rock monster would be fast or slow. He literally knew nothing about the ability of the monster. Yet he still put his weapon back. That showed that Arvin's overconfidence over his strength. Loki wanted this fight to be a training session as well as a lesson for Arvin so that he would not repeat the same mistake again in the future.
That is why Loki didn't say a word to Arvin when he did this mistake…
….
The monster made of rock then suddenly started moving. It was not very agile. So with its heavy steps, it started moving closer and closer to Arvin. While Arvin didn't move from his spot nor he started weaving a magic circle.
Arvin wanted to see the extent of the physical abilities of this monster. That is why he stood at his place until the monster swung his right fist at Arvin. He dodged the attack by that monster very easily and quickly.
When the monster saw that Arvin had dodged his right swing, slowly he raised his left hand and tried to slam Arvin under it…
BAAAM
But Arvin dodged the slam pretty easily. From these attacks, Arvin had got the idea about how slow this monster was. So he had a clear idea, Arvin ran towards the other end of the arena…
That monster-packed power. But it was too slow when compared to the speed of Arvin. So when Arvin went to the other side of the arena, he knew that the monster would take his time while coming here. So he would have enough time to cast a magic circle.

Then Arvin started weaving the magic circle as it was instructed in the book. First Arvin sent mana at the tips of his fingers. Then while slowly emitting the mana from his fingertips, he started weaving a mana circle. Weaving a mana circle was not an easy task. Take fireball for example, while weaving the magic circle for this spell, a person has to use a fire rune which is a simple rune as well as he/she had to draw some hemo runes to compensate for the fire rune.
The way that magic circle works is the when a simple or royal or imperial rune is drawn they are powerless alone. Like the fire rune. When casted, as its name suggests it would make fire. But to give that fire the shape of a ball and give it an explosive property multiple Hemo runes are needed. That is making a magic circle was considered difficult.
Arvin started weaving the magic circle in the air. He had memorized the fireball circle that Park Shin Hye had used. He recognized all the runes that she used in that magic circle. He understood all the functions that each individual rune had in that magic circle. He made some changes in that magic circle according to his needs.
He already had in his mind the picture of the magic circle, he just needs to draw it. Arvin had added some extra Hemo runes and removed some old ones. And the basic thing that his runes do was that they added a certain spin effect on the fireball due to which they would become faster and more deadly.
Thus Arvin easily drew a hand size green color magic circle that he had thought of. Now was the time to test it. With confidence poured some more mana into the magic circle and finally, he casted it…
BAAM
The magic circle exploded in front of Arvin and thus he was flung backward. Till that time the rock monster had also appeared in front of Arvin. Even though his magic had just backfired, Arvin got up on his feet. He had a feeling that something was bound to go wrong. So he didn't pour a lot of mana in the circle. He drew this circle to test whether he could cast a magic circle.

{IDIOT!! You removed the Aage rune… If you remove those runes then how would the fireball is supposed to move forward? And the circuit… How could you directly add that hemo rune with…..} Loki started lecturing him about the mistakes that Arvin had made while drawing his circle. While on the other hand, Arvin was trying to dodge the attacks of the monster as well as trying to listen to what Loki has to say….
.....
30 mins later…
Still fighting with the rock monster Arvin was not able to cast a single successful magic circle. It was too hard for him to concentrate while listening to the bickering of Loki while facing the pressure of fight from the rock monster. It was just too hard.
Arvin tried to make multiple attempts to cast a magic circle. Sometimes he would lose concentration, sometimes he would pour in too much mana, and sometimes he would pour in too little. With so many unsuccessful attempts, Arvin started feeling frustrated and irritated.
It was then that he knew that deciding to test his magic casting skill here was a bad decision. He needs to strengthen his mind as well as he needs to strengthen his basics. The magic circle that he thought of was trash. It had too many mistakes. So he needs to return to the basics for now and learn more about the runes and their functionality.
Arvin had already lost half of the reserve of his mana. And that too a rock monster that he had a feeling that he could have taken care of in a matter of a minute or so. So he decided that he should give magic casting practice rest for now. Let's just deal with this monster for now and get out of here.
With that Arvin took his ax….
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!
Arvin screamed his battle cry and leaped straight towards the rock monster. He increased his speed to the maximum, and when he got close to the monster he opened his guardian shield. With the shield opened, Arvin slammed into the monster with his shield upfront. He used his full power in that slam.
Due to Arvin's full power slam, the monster stumbled back a little bit. But Arvin didn't stop there. He jumped towards the monster's head and swung his ax. Arvin's ax sliced the monster's head like it was made of butter. After cutting off his head, the monster fell down on the ground.
After a large piece of the monster's head was sliced off, Arvin saw a white color exoskeleton that was hidden underneath the rocks. Looking at the white color exoskeleton Arvin thought that if this is some sort of energy then….
Arvin then slammed his ax into the skeleton and his ax started devouring the energy from the which the exoskeleton. Before that monster could make any move his ax devoured all of the energy that monster had. Thus after losing the energy the rocks of the monster disintegrated in thin air.
As Arvin won the fight he sighed in relief. He shouldn't have been so naïve and should have finished the fight early on….
After the monster's body disintegrated a blue color portal suddenly appeared in the middle of the arena. Arvin then put his ax back into his inventory and started walking towards the portal. He started reminiscing about how he wasted half an hour and how he should improve his magic casting. Just like that still thinking about what he should have done, he walked into the portal.
As he walked into the portal, Arvin was once again blinded by the lights. When he regained focus, he started feeling very hot. He then looked around to see that he was in some sort of hot place. He looked around him and saw that there were man-made walls all around him. Specifically, the black color obelisk that he came from. The walls were 30 feet high.
Arvin looked down and saw that the ground that he was standing on was very dry. Then he looked back and saw that the obelisk that he came out of was not like the obelisk of the 1st floor. While the obelisk of the first floor touched the ground in the sky, this was one just 10 feet high. But both of them had exact shape size.
Looking at the obelisk Arvin understood that if he wanted to go to the third floor then he would need another ascension tower on this floor.
