Solo Player Arvin Chapter 86

The mana stone attack came as a surprise even for Park Shin Hye. It was common knowledge that beings from upper floors doesn't get affected by mana stone bombs. The way a mana stone bomb works are that when it detonates it releases the pressurized mana stored inside the stone. It may be able to harm people from 1s floor. But people on the upper floors have such strong physiques that detonation from mana stone bombs does not harm their bodies.
But it didn't mean that mana stone couldn't be used as an explosive. If a person can change the neutral mana inside the stone to a particular affinity then those types of bombs are disastrous to every type of being. But such bombs are very hard to come by.
…
Alman was enraged that someone interrupted him in such a crucial part. He looked around the surrounding area with his mana sense. But he didn't found anything noteworthy. Alman didn't know who threw the mana stone bomb, but whoever the person was, he was not able to sense him.
Although Alman was not good with sensory-type magic, still he was not that bad that he would not be able to sense a rat. At first, he thought that Alice was the one that threw that mana stone bomb. But now he didn't think so that it was her. Because she was still injured. And in that condition, she would not be able to walk or run here. Plus in that state, he didn't think that she would be in any shape to counter his mana sense.
Seeing that the culprit was hiding somewhere near, Alman thought that maybe he should just finish off Park Shin Hye first. And who knows that maybe the culprit would make himself visible. So Alman gripped the kunai knife that he had tightly in his hands. But it was then he saw it. Park Shin Hye was already on the ground. She was vomiting blood while lying by the tree.
But as Alman was watching her puke blood, his vision started becoming blurry. He shook his head, but his vision was still blurry. It was then he felt that something was coming up his throat. He was not able to stop it, and thus he puked it out. Alman's vision was blurry, but judging from the red color of the, it seems to him that he had puked blood.

His legs started becoming jelly. He fell on his knees. His whole body started aching. Alman started feeling blood coming up his neck. Alman understood that he was poisoned. But he didn't understand when was he poisoned in the first place. He didn't want to die here, but it seems that his time had come now.
Arvin who had flown off to have a little snack came back. From Loki had guessed, when these bombs would be subjected to the egg then mana inside of them would become poisonous. So anyone who intakes even a small bit of that mana would be subjected to poison and will die a very gruesome death.
After the bomb had been detonated it would take around, 15 mins or so before the poisonous mana would be thinned out. Even after that, there will be lingering effects of poisonous mana in the air. But that would not be able to harm Arvin as his acolyte body will be able to endure it.
So after throwing the mana bomb on Alman's face, Arvin flew to his old campsite in the Kalgan forest. There he roasted some meat and had a good meal. After having a meal, Arvin opened his status menu whether he had completed the quest or not. He had decided that he would not go to the battle site until he was sure that Alman was dead. If he is indeed dead then only he would go there and loot his body. After all his life was too precious. He wouldn't risk that for anything.
Arvin opened his status menu….

As Arvin saw that he got the Soul Reading skill he understood that the quest where he had to kill three people from upper floors was completed. And then he checked his inventory. There he found 10 mana stones. That meant that Alman was also killed with that bomb. It was a shame that Arvin decided that he would not complete the quest where he had to collect 500 souls. Or otherwise, he would upset many people and then keeping his identity a secret would have been very difficult.
So Arvin didn't waste any time after that. If he wanted to loot the bodies of those three people then he had to hurry. So he got up. He took out the battle clothes given to him by the ghost faction. He then wore the skull mask that he had painted black. Then for the last touch-up, Arvin used his illusion casting skill and made his eyes golden color. And then made his pupils cylindrical like that of a snake.

This was just a precaution. If someone is able to see him while he looting the body then they would all lookout for a guy that had eyes golden eyes like that of a snake. This was just a simple distraction from which he could throw people's investigation out of track for a little bit…
{Why did you choose golden snake eyes?} Loki asked.
'I don't know. I just felt like it. Plus it looked very cool.' Arvin said.
{Ok….} Loki said. But inwardly Loki started having a creepy feeling. Because Arvin may have made those eyes out of whim. But they sure did look a lot like the eyes of the monster that Loki was hiding from…
When Arvin reached the battle site, he saw that it was empty. He still could feel ominous vibes from this place. So he didn't waste any time. He looted the body of all three of them. When it came to Alman, he did not forget to cut off his arms from his body. Arvin was very interested in the weapons that Alman used. So to get a closer look at the weapons he cut off both of his hands.
While looting Alman's body, Arvin saw a blue color crystal around Alman's neck. It was a very small crystal. Arvin inspected that crystal and he determined that it didn't hold any value. So he left the crystal there.
As he stood and was about to leave, he sensed that some people have come too close to the battle site. He looked back and saw them maintaining a distance from him. He didn't find them hostile so he left them behind….
Little did Arvin know that the blue crystal that he left behind was an important artifact. And that Artifact was called recording crystal.
......
Three days before the ceremony, Arvin prepared everything. From clothes to food and water. He had a lot of money thanks to Alman. So he spend it all to gather as many supplies as he can. He knew that he had to stay low for a while after the ceremony. Even if he ascends to the next floor, the chance of him being safe there was very low. After all his targets included bigshots from the 3rd and 4th floor.
So he gathered the supplies and decided that if his plan is executively successfully then it is well and good. If not then he would leave everything behind and ascend to the next floor. In any situation, he would not come back here. So he gathered everything that he could.
After looting the body, Arvin didn't waste any time. He straightaway started running towards the deeper part of the Kalgan forest. He did not fear any beasts of the forest. So he didn't bother hiding his presence. If any beast tried to attack him then he would kill them without any second thought.
And soon enough he was greeted with an old target. The fierce bird. The last time he came in contact with the bird was when he was fighting a Rank-C wolf. That bird suddenly flew in when Arvin and the wolf were about to fight. It was later on Arvin realized that the bird suddenly flew in that day as those fools of the Aurora clan were hunting fierce bird that day.
That created a commotion and thus fierce birds flew off from their territory where they would be safe from those monsters. That day Arvin ran away from that battle. But today was not such a day…
.........…
On the 25th floor.
On a huge mountain and mad could be seen clad in black armor. He had brown skin with brown color hairs. He was around 6 and a half feet tall and have bulging muscles all over his body. He looked like a very fierce warrior. He had a very big hammer on his back. And behind him, a group of people was standing in an upright position.
"You all have understood your assignments?" the black armor man asked.
"YES SIR!" all the people behind that man screamed.
"Then you are dismissed. Go and find me a guy who goes by the name Arvin."
"YES SIR!" with that all the people started dispersing….
'I wonder what kind of person this Arvin is? If Lord Hanuman gave me the quest to find him personally.' The man clad in black armor thought.

Someday, he might even – hatch? “CHEEP!?” Things to Know: -Cheep!? Will release on a minimum weekly schedule. -After a backlog of chapters, posting will slow, but in the interim you can expect a chapter a day up until roughly 25 chapters. -This story at times will potentially carry some heavy moments, but the tone is intended to be lighter overall. -There are invisible game-like elements in this story, but nothing so concrete as a dedicated gamelit novel. -I personally have some issues with anxiety, so I may or may not interact with the community a lot. I'll try if anyone has questions, but I can't guarantee that it'll be consistent. -MC is a non-human lead, and will never actually become human. Romance will potentially happen between side-characters, but not with the MC. -MC IS NOT THE ONLY VIEW POINT. I have to put that out there because people sometimes hate alternate PoV's in a story. None of them will be filler, and they'll be there only to give a little bit more nuance and meaning to the world that the MC has stepped in, or is about to be imminently important. I'll try to keep them down, but this also helps to prevent me from burning out getting trapped in one view. -Most of all, I hope that this story is enjoyable to you, and that you have a great time reading it! -Written by Michael Adams, Cowritten/Edited by Summer Kent
