Poison from the hector flower is a very powerful poison on the 1st floor. But for beings from the upper floors, that poison was nothing more than a hangover elixir. It was harmful to all beings on the 1st floor. After all people from the 1st floor were not that strong to resist the effect of poison. But people on the upper floors had the ability to neutralize the poison's effect.

Park Shin Hye regretted that she lost her temper and attacked Alman solely on the basis that he served them poisonous tea. But now she regretted it deeply. Such poison could not hurt them. But as she attacked him, she gave him a reason to attack her.

Alman was a neutral being. He will not attack or take any sides in the conflicts between the tribes of the third floor. But if someone provokes him or tries to kill him then he could retaliate however he liked. As Park Shin Hye attacked him, he now has the reason from which he could retaliate. Even if he kills them here right now, the Aurora tribe could not retaliate against this.

Park Go Gum and Alice looked down on the ground floor to check on Alman. What they saw was that Alman was lying on the ground with his torso in flames. But surprisingly there were no signs of the burning of the skin or any harm done to his body. He was just fine. But his clothes on the other hand were burned. And the most terrifying thing about Alman was that even though he lay on the ground, he still had a sly smile on his face.

Seeing that sly smile, Alice and Park Go Gum understood that they were now in big trouble. They both had an option from which they could abandon Park Shin Hye. They could simply surrender and give her up. If they are able to convince Alman that they didn't have anything to do with her actions then that could at least they will not die today. But before making any decisions about what to do and what not to do, they both decided that it would be better if they see what Alman wants to do. After all his sly smile was making them believe that he had planned this all along.

Both Park Go Gum and Alice jumped down on the ground floor to check on Alman. As they both landed down Alman had also had sat up straight on the ground. Then he looked at the Park Go Gum and said…

"You have a very feisty team member Park Go Gum," Alman said.

"Master Alman, I am terribly sorry for my team-mate's behavior." Alice started to speak. But as she was speaking, Alman raised his hands and stopped her. Till then Park Shin Hye had also come down

"Alice and Park Go Gum… I am a very decent person. Your team attacked me first. I have a recording crystal to prove that. Now whatever it is that you have to say will not impact my decision anyhow." Alman said.

"What decision?" Park Go Gum asked.

"You see on this floor, there is really nothing that could entertain me. But then you guys came along. So I decided that you guys will my source of entertainment. Before you guys start saying that you were not involved with her. And she alone is responsible for what she had done, first listen very carefully… You guys have around 1min. In this 1 min do whatever you want to do. If you want to run then run. If you want to fight then fight. But as my timer of 1 min hit zero… I will come for. I will come for all of you. And then I will kill you." Alman said while still smiling…

"…" All three of them looked at Alman like he was a mad man. They knew that killing Alman was not an option as that will surely sign off their death warrant. So without any discussion, all of them started running out of the city. They all had a non-verbal agreement that they couldn't stay here on the 1st floor any longer.

Both Park Go Gum and Alice decided that they would stick with Park Shin Hye for now. She was their friend. She may be the reason that a monster like Alman was after them. In reality, they wanted to abandon her. They wanted to surrender to Alman. But that was out of the question as of now. They still stick close to her as they knew that if all three of them fight together then they may have a chance to subdue Alman and get out of this mess. They could always punish her later.

It only took them about 40 sec to get out of Arcane city. After that, they all started running towards the Kalgan forest. After all their best bet to escape from Alman's clutches was to go back to the third floor. There they could not go to the Aurora tribe. They would execute them themselves to quench the thirst for blood for Alman. So the only thing that they could do was to run. Run as far away as they could go from the third floor.

Soon the one-minute limit was over. Till then the trio had reached the periphery of the Kalgan forest. They had reached the hilly grasslands where Arvin woke up. Before they could run inside the forest, with a loud bang Alman landed in front of them,…

BOOM.

"I got to say… My body feels great after this breakthrough….*HAHAHA*" Alman with a very evil laugh.

When the trio heard his laughter and sentence that he said before one thing. They f*cked up. They have fu*ked up big time. From the information that they had, they knew that Alman had attained the peak stage of the Level-1 Acolyte. This already made him comparable to an elite from the 3rd floor. But if he had really broken through… Then that would mean that he was Level-2 Acolyte now.

Defeating a level-2 Acolyte is not an easy thing. Park Go Gum, Alice, and Park Shin Hye if combine their strength that they might be able to defeat him. But this would not be an easy task. With the stage of a Level-2 Acolyte, the mana in one's body takes qualitative change as well as body also gets strengthen due to the breakthrough. So that would mean that he was physically and mentally stronger than the three of them. And it would take a miracle for them to get out of here alive.

"I will the brawler… Shin Hye you would be our support and Alice you would cover me." Park Go Gum said.

"Are we really doing this?" Alice asked.

"Yeah. For the sake of survival, we have to do this." Park go Gum said.

Park Shin Hye started feeling guilty that as she was the reason that her friends were dragged into this situation. But she now was not the time to be sulking around. This was the time to kick Alman's butt.

Park Go Gum started pumping mana in his body. He increased the speed from which mana would flow inside his body. Doing so his body started getting strengthen. His muscles started tensed to their limit. Then with a kick, he leaped towards Alman.

As Park Go Gum leaped towards Alman, he took a great sword from his storage ring. That was his weapon of choice. As he got closed to Alman he swung his sword with great precision and strength. Alman normally took a step back and avoided the attack.

With his sword down towards the ground, Park Go Gum swung the sword right back up at Alman, but this was just a feint. He changed his trajectory in between and took two steps away from Alman. As he did that Alman got confused as to what was this all about. But his question was answered soon…

While Park Go Gum swung his sword at Alman, the girls in the back started weaving their own magic circles in the air. And by the time Park Go Gum took a step away from Alman, both of them had completed weaving their respective circles.

Alice first fired her magic circle. It was a fireball like the one from which Park Shin Hye attacked Alman before. But this one was bigger than the size of a football. This fireball was also faster. It was about to strike Alman on the chest when he avoided by leaning back the MC does in the movie matrix.

Seeing that Alman avoided her attack didn't matter to Alice by this time Park Shin Hye also fired a purple color lighting towards Alman…

But this time Alman was not able to avoid it. He took the lighting straight on…

"WOAH!! Loki are you seeing this? How come you didn't tell me that mana could be used to strengthen your body?" Arvin asked Loki as he saw Park Go Gum strengthen his body with mana.
