'How the hell am I suppose to eat that egg if I can't even stay conscious when it is out in the open?' Arvin aked.

{That would be the first step for you. Try to stay awake in its presence. Then would be able to utilize the full powers of that egg.} Loki said.

{It is a very simple process. Like if you want to get rid of fear then you do the thing that you fear the most. Same as this example all you have to do is to try to stay in its presence for as long as you can.} Loki said.

'Wouldn't I die if I stay in its presence for too long? The previous time I was lucky enough to send that egg back to my inventory.'

{Well I have certain ways… Arvin my cute little boy, have you heard about a bong?}

'Isn't that thing that you use to smoke weed?' Arvin asked.

{Yeah. We would make a bong for you. And with that bong, you will inhale the smell of the egg until you no longer can stay conscious.}

'That is the stupidest thing that I have heard'

{That is the only way.}

'So how should we start preparation of becoming an acolyte?'

{For that the first thing that we would need is a bottle of ink and a lot of paper.}

'Why?' Arvin asked as he was confused.

There were several ways to draw runes. The most common and widely used way is from hands. The only thing that one would need while drawing the runes by hands is medium. A medium was any non-living or living thing on which rune had to be drawn. Even air could be used as a medium. One just has to inscribe the runes on the medium with magic. So while drawing runes, magicians or magus coat their fingers with mana. And when they draw on the medium or in the air the coated finger leaves behind a trail of light. And they have to draw the rune with the trail of light.

The trail of light left behind is not a normal trail of light. Back on earth, Arvin had seen people writing a letter from sparkling sticks. After lighting them up, they would use to move them so fast that they use to create an illusion that they were leaving behind a trail of light and thus they will draw their name with it. But when magus or magicians used to form the trail of light by coating their fingers, the trail of light is not an illusion. That trail of the line is clear and perfect and there is no need for hands to work fast to create them.

Magus and magicians when they are on the acolyte stage, with their mana capacity increased they become fully capable of forming runes. They become capable to cast magic. But in this stage, they need to practice drawing to that level where they can draw it properly, correctly, and as fast as possible.

There are chances where a magic circle can blow up in their faces if the rune is not properly written or if not perfectly cast. That is why people practice drawing runes on paper as much as they can to hone their skills to an optimal level.

Arvin was a genius back on earth because of his eidetic memory. That innate skill allowed him to remember everything that he read, hear or see like he saw a 4D video of that moment. That is why he always scored excellent marks. Here this skill was like a cheat to him. Arvin with his brain can comprehend simple runes as soon as he saw them.

With his innate skill, he had memorized the exact structure of the runes flawlessly. And now the only thing left for him to do is to try to cast them. But as a precaution, Loki wanted him to practice drawing skills on a sheet of paper before actually casting any runes.

Loki had planned it out perfectly for Arvin. The shield that they stole a day ago would be used as a medium. Arvin has to coat his fingers with mana and then have to inscribe the runes according to his instruction. When the runes would be successfully cast, that circle will make a dome around the shield. And when that dome is activated, any mana disturbance inside the dome will not be felt outside.

From this when Arvin would break through in the realm of an acolyte, he would be able to do it without anyone finding his location. Previously with Loki's help, Arvin's aura was untraceable to those people from the upper floors. Now combined with his new physique his aura could not be traced by any being from any floor out there. But when he would break through his levels then his aura will leak out. That is why would always need a place which not only secluded but also lace with runes to hide his aura.

That shield that they stole is not the idle metal that could be used in this process. It will deteriorate just after one use. But it would do its job and let Arvin breakthrough. While breaking through Arvin needed to process a lot of mana. And then after processing it he needs to store all of it in its heart.

It is a painfull process. But as during this process, the mana would start accumulating in its heart and thus it would increase its mana capacity. Thus making him an acolyte…

Arvin after recovering his mana, transformed into a Corgan and flew towards Josh's house. He then kept an eye on the house for the whole period of his transformation. He wanted to see how was Josh doing there. Mostly he wanted to see whether he needed some sort of help or not.

Arvin found out that the Cullen family showed their goodwill towards Josh by buying back his home and giving him a shop in the inner city. They did this they wanted to show Lopt that they are not his enemy. After all, he was a genius with a mana sensitivity score of one. It would be foolish to make an enemy out of him.

From that Arvin was able to discern that they brought Josh here as bait to lure him in. But they all meant no harm. It was a very good strategy and it would have worked splendidly if it wasn't for skills of Arvin.

As Arvin saw that Josh was safe and sound he went back to his inn. The next day he brought a lot of ink and papers and started practicing a rune formation that as Loki instructed him. For hours and hours, he would practice making the rune formation according to Loki's instruction.

And finally, after Arvin gains enough confidence that he had now perfected the rune formation, he decided that now the time has come to set out and start his grand plan. Arvin had decided that he would break through and become an acolyte in the Kalgan forest. Some areas in the forest are enough secluded that no one would disturb him there. But before he went out of Kalgan forest he needed to do some things in the Cullen family as well as he needed to do some things in the Arcane city to set things in motion.

While in Dwane city, Arvin found out a lot of things about the Cullen family and its members. Originally when the Cullen family came to live in Dwane city they needed to set a foothold in the city. So they decided to build some houses in the inner city as well as in the outer city. Then what they did is that they gave out all those houses on rent. This way they were able to take control of a large part of Dwane city. That area they controlled started being called the Cullen city as the area controlled by the Cullen family was big enough to be called a city.

The thing that Arvin found most interesting was Phyllis Cullen. She was the daughter of the old master of the Cullen family. But as she was born from a woman that the old master r*ped she is not considered the part of the family. Yet the day she met him, she told him that she was the representative of the Cullen family. As Arvin dug deeper he found out that although she is not considered a part of the family, she is a very intelligent girl whose ability is recognized by the old master.

That is why he keeps her as the representative of the family. She will never be part of the main family but this was at least he could do considering her talent. When Arvin heard this story of Phyllis Cullen, he was presently surprised as well as happy. As he found a perfect candidate for his scheme.

So before heading out to the Kalgan forest, Arvin found out her location where she stays. And then he started stalking her, finding out what kind of person she was and how she operated. And when he had gathered all the information that he needed, it was time to make contact with her…
