Solo Player Arvin Chapter 50

'Wait. Does this mean that you will now have to leave me?' Arvin asked.
Arvin was not liking the way things were happening. He was able to become this strong only because Lopt was there with him to guide him. But he goes away then won't it mean that he is going to lose his precious cheat. Although he knew that this day might come in the future but he didn't know that this day will come so soon.
{It seems like it… Boy, I am going to get in a lot of trouble. Especially with that monster sage… He is going to be pissed.}
'Who?'
{You don't need to know that.}
'So what is going to happen to me?'
[You are going to reach the 100th floor before anyone else. Same as before.] said a woman in a British accent. That woman's voice was transmitted straight into Arvin's ear. This voice was so enchanting that anyone could get lost in this voice.
'Who?'
[Hello Arvin. I am your new owner. People call me the half-faced witch]
{It's you!} Lopt said as he recognized the woman's voice.
[It has been a while… Lopt.] the woman greeted back.
{Didn't you said that you are not interested in this child's game?}
[I was not. Until my brother came to me because of his stomachache.]
{…}
'His stomachache?'
[SILENCE! Know your place mortal. Do not ever speak in between when gods are talking.] the woman screamed in anger.
'…'
{….}
[So do you have anything to say for yourselves?]
{In my defense I told him to have a fast for a decade or two.}
[That is all?]
{Yeah.}
[FATHER!!!]
{Alright I am sorry. It won't happen again.}
[Why do I even put up with you huh? He is a just a child and you…] And soon the bickering of the woman started. Like this, her complaining about Lopt's behavior didn't stop for hours. And after that screaming didn't stop for the next 1 hour.
While the father and daughter duo were screaming and bickering with each other, Arvin was starting to have a headache. After all, they were bickering in his head. And soon they stopped using the common tongue altogether and started bickering and foreign language. While they were bickering a large number of questions started making their permanent home in his head.

They are father and daughter? How come Lopt didn't tell me about this before? And what is a thing about stealing? Is this related to the general piece that Lopt about earlier? What did he mean stolen? Did he steal me from somewhere? Now, what will happen? Will Lopt stay with me here or he will have to go? What will happen to me? This new lady seems too intimidating. Will I be okay with her?
{SILENCE NOW GIRL!!!} Finally, Lopt had enough of her
[Hmph.]
{I said I am sorry. Now would you please go back? I have a situation to handle.}
[You mean we have a situation to handle?]
{That depends.}
[What?]
{What do you mean by we?}
[What do you think?]
{Do you mean me and you, you and Arvin or do you mean me and Arvin}
[…]
{So?}
[I mean the three of us.]
{The three of us?}
[Yes. Now I am the owner of Arvin. And you are stuck there for the moment. So yes, from now onwards there will three of us.]
'Wait a minute. I am no one's property.' Arvin complained. But Lopt and the witch simply ignored his complaints.
{He is my apostle. That means that he is my property.}
[But I have his system's control.]
{That doesn't make you his owner.}
[If I can control all of his actions then yes, that does make me his owner.]
'Wait am I being controlled like a robot?' Arvin asked as he was horrified with that thought that all this time Lopt may have been controlling him from behind.
{Stop getting nervous. You are not being controlled. I don't operate like that. Nor does she.}
'Then why did she say something like that?'
[ENOUGH! I had with you father. Now for Odin's shake just shut up!] the half-faced witch screamed.
{…}
'…'
[Arvin. What I meant is that now I have control over your system. That means I control all the quests and their penalties. It was because of that I said that I can control all of your actions]
'Am I suppose to believe that?' Arvin asked suspiciously.
[Frankly, I don't give a f**k whether you believe me or not.]
'…'
[What I and my father Loki wants is for you to reach the 100th floor before anyone else]

'Wait did you said Loki? As in god of Norse mythology Loki?'
{WOAH WOAH… What the hell did you Hela? I was waiting for the right moment to officially accept him you know.}
[We don't have time. Odin knows about your ploy. He had sent a kill order for that boy. And Heimdall is looking for your body everywhere. We just don't have enough time.]
{But I still don't know whether this boy will be the key or not.}
[We don't have a choice. Don't worry about it. He is the general piece of that guy. That means he has some potential. And maybe with the help of both of us, he could completer this task solo.]
{FINE!... Arvin I Laufey's son Loki accept you as my apostle. From today onwards you will live for me and die for me.}
'Don't I have any say in that? I mean you are the god of mischief. It should be up to me whether I want to be your apostle or not. Lopt, I mean Loki you said…' before Arvin could his sentence a sense of nausea hit him.
Arvin started losing focus. The world started spinning around him. He was sitting in his inn on a chair right now. And as the sense of nausea hit him, he lost the strength to sit straight. So he fell from the chair and fell on the floor. Arvin wanted to ask Loki about what is happening? But strangely Arvin was not able to speak.
Arvin started to feel that his body was becoming jelly. He was only able to move his eyeball while all of his body has stopped responding to him. With great effort, Arvin looked down to see what was happening to his body. To his horror, he saw that parts of his body were melting. His skin, his flesh, his bones were melting down.
Arvin could see his melted body seeping out through the clothes that he was wearing. He wanted to know how and why is this happening. But strangely the voices of Loki and his daughter have vanished from his head. Now there was absolute silence in his head. Arvin started thinking as he heard the silence whether they have abandoned me or the connection between them and him was had now broken up.
And soon the darkness engulfed Arvin's eyes and he lost his consciousness…
..............................…..
When Arvin regains consciousness he the wooden ceiling in front of him. That ceiling belonged to the room in which he was staying. Soon the memories of what happened to him started flooding Arvin's brain. As soon as he remembered that his body had started melting, he abruptly got up to check his body. Although he was lying naked on the floor, his body seemed to be perfectly fine. Seeing his body is perfectly fine, Arvin sighed in relief.
{Good you woke up. How are you feeling?}
'Is it strange that I feel like someone took out all my body parts and then interested it back?'
{Nah, it is not strange. Because that is what happened.}
'What do you mean? And your daughter suddenly taking over my system… was it true?'
[Yeah that was true. That was not your imagination] Hela commented
{Try to get up Arvin. And then tell me, do you feel different?} Lopt said. Hearing Lopt words, Arvin tried to get up. And as soon as he did that he felt a tremendous difference in his body.
When Arvin drank God's potential boaster, all the impurities in his body were flushed out. That made him feel that a lot of his body weight vanished in the thin air. Arvin was feeling the same way as he did back then. The difference between now and then is that time he felt that he had lost some amount of weight. But now he was feeling that all the things that used to give his body some weight had now vanished in thin air. He was now weightless.
'I feel weightless.' Arvin said while looking at his naked body.
{Good. That is the effect of my blessing.}
'Your blessing?'
{Yes. My blessing. You have now become my apostle. Officially. So I was bound to give a blessing.}
'So you mean I was not your apostle before?'
{No you were. But I acknowledged you a few moments ago.}
'So because of your blessing, I became weightless?'
{No not weightless. With my blessing, you became a being made of fluid. Like me.}

The Stars Have Eyes
The universe was a vast, empty, dark, and uncaring place. Then life happened, and the universe was changed forever. Only a teeny-tiny bit, but definitely different. Then again, the universe changes a teeny-tiny bit every second of every day. For instance, if someone were to get off the couch and randomly drink a glass of milk? Bam! One less glass of milk in the universe. Changed forever. Well, excluding any time-travel shenanigans, but anyone who puts a big old hole in the time-space continuum just to un-drink a glass of milk should really reevaluate their priorities. Unless, of course, they were attempting to prevent some massive catastrophe vis-a-vis said glass of milk. Such a scenario is by no means impossible, as one should never underestimate the importance of calcium. Another important tip for any life forms out there is to keep things in perspective. Some look at the vastness of creation in relation to themselves and go, ‘Man, this sucks!’ These people really need to narrow their focus. Sure, they will never affect anything happening on the other end of the galaxy, but so what? That’s way the heck over there, where it doesn’t matter. Therefore, in order to maintain a healthy mindset, it is important to narrow one’s perspective to the things and people that affect them, and that they can affect in turn. But what happens if one is an unfathomable cosmic being from beyond the veil of reality? What happens when such an existence is capable of influencing entire swathes of the universe just by its presence? A creature such as Magh'rathlak the Observer? That particular entity is only about average as far as reality-warping creatures from the dawn of time go, so its influence over the fabric of reality is rather limited. And it still struggles to keep things in perspective. That, among other things, is why it decided to narrow its worldview a bit by compressing the maddening vastness of its being into a single corporeal form. Magh'rathlak had never tried such a feat, but that wasn't about to stop it. After all, how hard could being human possibly be?

The Hopeful Project
A pair of twins stumble their way into the world of blood magic, lizard people, and cultivation powered mecha-armor. And by stumble, I mean one of them falls on their face while the other laughs. [Writathon Participant] People read this far? What are you doing down here? Escape! The chapter buttons are over there, stop reading this. No? Fine. This book is an excuse to put a world I spent around 3-4 months of my life building over the pandemic into writing. I was planning on doing the writathon last year, but somehow managed to confuse October and November. Dont laugh, I'm already ashamed enough. This book is about a pair of twins, doing twin things: calling each other names, going to school, learning how to use their blood to become unstoppable, juggernaut, killing machines... You know, twin stuff. It's like if someone stuffed a school arc inside of a tournament arc inside of a war arc. A good time, basically. I hope you enjoy it.
