Solo Player Arvin Chapter 29

After practicing being a pigeon or Corgan and a fly, Arvin had to decide what to do next? Should he infiltrate the HQ in disguise? Or should he go for another alternative altogether?
But it was then he had a terrific idea…
'Dobby. Can you tell me whether I can use my storage option in my transformed form?'
[Yes, host you can.]
'And to store anything in the inventory all I have to do is to touch a thing. Right?'
[YES.]
As soon as Arvin heard Dobby's answer, he started feeling like he was on top of the world. A very big smile started blooming on his face. With this crucial ability now in his hands, he was essentially ready for the heist tomorrow. With this, he could be at ease. Everything will go perfectly fine.
While thinking about this, Arvin had a realization. The heist will go successful tomorrow. But how the hell will Alman know that it was he who took his things for compensation. Arvin then remembered the book Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar. It was a great series of books about a gentleman burglar who would only steal from people who are the worst of their kind. He was a master of disguise and always stays one step ahead of his enemies.
With the heist now sorted out, Arvin only had one problem left. That was the old beggar in the alley just in front of his inn..
It was about 2 months when he noticed the peculiarity of the beggar. From the outwards, he is just an old man with average height and with filth all over his body. He had a small white beard and a dead look in his eyes. He is a consistent beggar who always sits in front of his inn during the day. And as the night comes, that old man is replaced by another middle-aged man. He then starts begging in the place of an old man.
Arvin felt something was fishy when he noticed the beggar eating a fish chip. It costs around 2 coppers and can be found in various places around the city. It is not exactly a delicacy but not something that small beggars buy. Fish chip is approximately a 5-inch long delicacy that is eaten on a stick. It tastes good but you have to eat 16-17 of those to get your stomach full.

A beggar who earns his daily needs by begging cannot afford to buy a fish chip. It is a small-time snack, it is too costly and one fish chip will hardly be able to fill someone's stomach. But seeing that old man-eating fish chip daily made Arvin suspicious.
So when he had mastered flying like a fly, Arvin flew out of his window and towards that old man. He wanted to see whether he could find anything suspicious…
The first time he finds nothing. And like that 2 weeks passed by. Still, Arvin had found nothing. But still, Arvin kept appearing near the old man. Even if the old man was innocent, coming towards him helped Arvin practice his flying skill. But it was after a week, that he found something,…
Arvin was flying on the old man when he heard him whisper something. Curious he came close to the old man…
"That shitty brat is still in his room. I am too old to do this shitty work." That old man mumbled in frustration. As a fly, Arvin had heard everything that old man just mumbled.
As Arvin heard this he wanted to scream out loud "I KNEW IT!!"
But luckily he was in his fly form at that time. So he kept quiet and went back to his room. But that old man made him wonder, who was keeping an eye out for him. If he had to guess, he would guess that Cullen girl was responsible for that old man. After all, she was the richest of all those people. But he had too little information to guess.
Now as the day of the heist was finally approaching, Arvin was thinking about how to deal with this situation now? But he thought that maybe he should think about this after the heist…
...............….
"So you are trying to say to me that for the last 3 months he has been staying in an inn. In Arcane city? At this time?" Phyllis asked the woman in armor standing in front of her.
The woman in armor wearing silver armor was Claire. She was the warrior that worked for the Cullen family. Or more specifically for Phyllis Cullen. She was her bodyguard and loyal confidant. Claire has brown hair with brown eyes. She always has this intimidating look on her face.

"Yes, mistress. The man that I have sent on this job said so in their report." Claire said.
"Claire, are you hearing what I am saying? The news about the war is out, Arcane city is the only city that will not be affected by this war. Soon refugees will be all over the city.
The prices will go high and… There is no way a poor boy from a village could stay in an inn for 3 months straight. Say it. I was correct." Phyllis said.
"But what you said doesn't make any sense. If that boy was scouted by Alman, he would have declared so." Claire said.
"Well, that part is a mystery. But it makes sense. A Corgan that once in a while flies towards the City Watch's HQ and comes back. That is the hard proof right there. That boy had already made a connection with Alman."
"But the hell did he not announce it?"
"That is the part that I am not able to figure out…. Yet." Phyllis said.
"Mistress, you know what kind of person . I don't want to investigate and somehow get on the bad side of him. Especially now, when we are a guest in his city."
"So what do you think? We should pull off our men?" Phyllis asked.
"It is probably a good idea. I mean he has potential, but matter how much potential a man posses. It is worth upsetting Alman for it." Claire said.
"Hmm," Phyllis mumbled and started thinking about what he should do next….
................
24 hours later.
It was noon in Arcane city. The city was bustling as usual. The old butler of Alman was whistling and walking in the hallway. That old man didn't dare to whistle around when Alman was around but he was not here in the mansion at this time. He was away on the regular round that he took around the city.
Alman was scum and everyone in the upper circle of society knows it. But Alman didn't act like a scum when he was with the general public. The old butler can understand why Alman does this façade but who was he to say. After all, he was just a butler.
Today the old butler was happily whistling as he was about to do something naughty today. Many refugees have started to gather in the city recently. That meant more fresh meat in the city.
While the old butler was visiting the market yesterday, he met a pair of mother and daughter who were willing to do anything for a place to stay. And when the old butler showed interest in them, they gave him a look of what he should expect giving them a place to stay. And he was whistling non-stop as yesterday night was a hell of a night for him.
That old butler let them in his house. And he ordered the daughter to meet him near the storehouse when Alman is away. This way he would have a little bit of fun during his break time. Happily whistling the old butler made his way towards the storehouse. The smile on his face became more sinister when he saw a girl around 18 standing outside the storehouse in a very tight dress.
The old butler had already started fantasizing about how he is going to ravage the girl in front of her. As he reached the girl, without even greeting each other, he directly dragged that girl by her hands inside the storehouse.
But as he entered the storehouse, what he saw inside the storehouse made him feel forget everything about the wonderful s*x that he was going to do. Usually inside the storehouse food was stored. The amount of food that would feed about 10,000 men for 5 months. The storehouse was the place where rations for Alman's city watch were stored. But now, the storage was empty.
The sacks of grain that used to be here were now gone. Only a thin layer of dust was left on the floor of the storehouse…
"What the actual f**k is going on here?" the old man mumbled.
But before he could make sense of anything about what was happening, an explosion took place in the mansion. And soon after this explosion, a loud shout was heard.
"ARVIN!!!!"

8 122A Wish Fulfilled
The die is cast and omnipotent beings bow to the result. The world holds still in anticipation of a new actor. A man shall be ripped from his safe reality and cast upon new tapestry, familiar yet alien. His body will be reforged in flames of adversity. His mind, challenged, by crashing waves of doubt. And his soul will dance, to the amusement of those who observe. “Welcome, castaway, to the new world. Partake in its bounties and revel in its beauty, but be mindful of dangers. Your will is unbound and trials aplenty. The wish carried you here and you will define yourself anew. Live, as you see fit. Now, that the contract is fulfilled, it’s time. We shall not meet again, nor will you remember me. Farewell.” A falling star lights the skies and the die continues to roll. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
