You really are the finest little bug I’ve ever known
I dare say, you could take on a dragon on your own
Well, perhaps a wyvern or two, but in time you’ll grow
There sure are a lot of portals opening now though
Sting flew through the sky avoiding monsters left and right
Some of them were weak but there were none he’d like to fight
Most of them ignored him, but because he was so small
He knew he’d wind up someone’s snack if he slowed down at all
Achievement: New Skills
You should have no problem using skills now by the way
Just like any mortal, you can train them every day
Some titles and classes will make them more powerful
But whatever class you are, I think you’re wonderful
Sting had noticed something different about his new mind
Some unknown ability or power of some kind
And when he tried to use a ‘skill’ just to see what it means
He was suddenly aware of several status screens

A flying portal monster that can shock its chosen prey
Descending like a bolt of lightning any time of day
They are known to prey on creatures fifty times their size
You should find shelter if you notice you’ve caught its eyes
From beyond that blue screen came a sound that deafened Sting
A lightning bolt the shape of a bird was fast approaching

He didn’t have time to evade his Portal Monster friend
So his only option was to struggle and defend
He realized he didn’t have the time to spin around
Judging by the speed of the monster that made that sound
But now he somehow knew of an attack he’d never used
Even as he cast the spell himself, he was confused
In front of Sting appeared a shining ball of raw mana
Which morphed and transformed quickly into Sting’s first idea
A stinger just like he had took shape before his own eyes
Then it flew toward the hawk which recoiled in surprise
The projectile stinger he’d made with magic quickly flew
He hoped it would reach his foe and his aim was straight and true
The stinger pierced the Lightning Hawk while Sting flew to the side
His enemy let out a cry and very quickly died

I’d almost forgotten you can absorb mana too!
There’s a lot of Heroes who would be jealous of you
Even without my help, you could become much stronger
Though if not for my blessings, it would take much longer
Sting could feel his mana increase ever so slightly
As he’d experienced many times, but differently
Now he clearly felt the level added to his speed
And it was an exhilarating feeling indeed
He put his newly increased speed to work without delay
But before long another monster tried to block his way
He tried to go around but it hungrily chased Sting
This time it was easy to guess what it was thinking

This Wyvern was born somewhere affected by chaos
Such mana is not gained without suffering great loss
This one seems to have suffered in order to survive
Enduring a birth place where chaos and destruction thrive
The wyvern targeted Sting with its fiery attacks
The small bug didn’t have a single moment to relax
But Sting felt confident that there was something he could do
He searched himself for one more skill and right away he knew
He channelled mana to his little wings and flapped them quick
Creating a gale while the flames continued to lick
The wyvern’s fire no longer posed a threat to Sting at all
And as the wind reached the wyvern it soon began to fall
Unable to move through the air which flowed as Sting now willed
The wyvern roared at the bug which he should have quickly killed
But as it flailed and coughed up flames, Sting didn’t wait around
Sting attacked and it was dead before it hit the ground
Achievement: Natural Talent
Using only mana to pierce a strong wyvern’s hide
Your natural talent has left this old god mystified
I overheard some gods talking about the world ending
But I think that you’ll be fine, the way you’re ascending

Decompose!
Dear diary. When you read stories about some people missing and returning after years of absence claiming they were living in another world, your first reaction is to scoff and dismiss a story as a tall tale, right? I know I did. All the time. Until it happened to me and I no longer did. That day was today. Some god of thunder smote me. If it were Chris Hemsworth, I wouldn't mind but it was some barbaric Hitite god that abaondned Earth some four millennia ago. Yes, what can I say? I love the seventh art. I have more hours watching movies than any other activity, including sleep. What? Do you think I'm exaggerating? Maybe I am. I'll really miss hollywood the most. And my biggest regret is that I never got to visit the holy city of cinema. I did not come to another world to be a hero even though there was hints that they hoped I'd save it. I did not come with overpowered abilities able to, dunno, leap tall castles in a single bound, faster than a speeding crossbow bolt, be more powerful than a eight-horse carriage, the bounds. No. After the asshole god that murdered me brought me to his world, he gave me some boons from his discount bin and "The Power of my Soul (tm)". Forgive my french, I hope you understand I am rather upset at dying. And he somehow decided that my power is to recycle stuff. How awesome is that? Not much at first, I must admit. At least I got all my camping stuff and equipment with me. There's no lycra in the other world. I'll make it someday, but that day is not today. So here I am. In another world, in the middle of nowhere. I'm no heroine. As the song goes, I'm your basic average girl. And I'm assumed to be here to save the world. But almost everything can stop me, because I'm not named Kim. Wish me luck, diary. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ This novel is going have the following features: slow-paced slice-of-life No GameLit / LitRPG elements. Movie references. Sandra likes the seventh art. Journal / diary style crafting (includes chemistry, engineering and metallurgy) low magic technological advancement (for Sandra, at least. She is not against sharing though) personal relations clash of perception between the modern and ancient customs. bits of tension, fighting, and plot here and there. I won't repeat myself though. Once she crafts a good batch of soap, for example, she'll just note, "I crafted soap again." Once it is estabilished how she obtains compound X, compound X2 that is obtainable from the same process will also just be mentioned. I'll try to be as realistic as I can with the crafting, chemistry, and technology. Cover: Public Domain Image by StockSnap from Pixabay. No attribution required but we do it anyway.

Gina the goblin, Dungeon Extraordinaire
Goburi was a goblin, a very poor goblin and now that she was dying that meant one thing, she could not even pay the toll to cross into the afterlife. Goblins worshipped gold, gold watched over them and Goburi had never earned or lost a mote, finding herself to be something of a heritic. Like most descisions in life it had felt like the nobler pursuit at the time, but with the darkness closing in, she realized how terrified she was. Even if she had died in debt, the great elusive glimmer in the depths would have put her soul in a new body, bringing with her the debt and some vague memories. Another chance to die in the black. Goburi's last thoughts were dark specters of regret chasing themselves in circles of thought until she prayed for it to be done. She really had no idea where the souls of goblin heritics went, it had never really happened before. A new dungeon was born, a crystal of pure magic containing a soul that failed to pass to the afterlife. As it gained awareness something else came through that was never supposed to be there. Memories of a workshop, and an uncomfortable need to earn gold.

Super Sekken (An Action Shonen Story)
This is the author’s first story ever written. It may not be great, but do check it out, and I hope you enjoy! I’m currently working on its sequel. Hope. Courage. Self-value. Friends. These all were traits that former junior high soccer champion and first year Miyuki Sekken had none of until she first walked into the doors of her local High School. Despite being a sports athlete phenomenon in her school district, Miyuki dreaded its attention, and even quit her career in pursuit of living a simplistic daily routine. This daily routine would be inevitably interrupted when she chooses to 'branch out' by talking to people. Whether it be a chance of bad luck, fate, or karma, Sekken ends up speaking to someone who was unknowingly suffering from a curse: a curse that causes anyone who tries to get close to them to disappear. Miyuki Sekken would be the next victim, finding herself face-to-face against a once-thought mythical mafia. This gang is not just any gang either, but one who is run solely by the school students of Maguro High, who hold secrets to powers unheard of by the world. How will this first year survive? Will she conquer her anxiety and thwart the gang's vicious rule? Or will she end up losing more than she could have imagined? P.S. I am not a good drawer, so I use Picrews and photo editors to get the general idea for my characters' designs. Rights to the Picrews used go to their respective authors.

The self contained stories will have wildly different genres and 'storylines' so if the first chapter isn't your cup of tea, try the latest or even a random chapter. 105 Unwritten dreams stockpiled.
