Chapter 59
Chen Daiyu woke up early the next day, ready for her training with her grandfather, bringing along a little surprise.
“What are you doing here, brat?!?” Old man Shan growled at Shan Yijun who dressed up as if joining them.
“I’m obviously here for training- ah!” Getting rapped in the head by his uncle, Shan Yijun cried out and grudgingly looked at Lu Ji.
“When you first trained, not even a day had passed and you already gave up. Why else would uncle find other inheritors?!?”
“W-well i’m interested now!” Shan Yijun guiltily looked away and gave Chen daiyu an apologetic look.
“Grandpa, uncle, I forced him to. I knew this would help me in the future so I thought, why not help Yijun too? Am I wrong?” Chen Daiyu explained. She just wanted to help Yijun in the future…
Old man Shan and Lu Ji were touched; they almost shed tears.
“Sigh our family’s Yu Yu’s so cute” Lu Ji said proudly touching his nose.
“I know right” Shan Yijun nodded in approval with his arms crossed.
Lu Ji rapped his head once again…
While they were bickering, Old man Shan taught Chen Daiyu how to warm up and then exercise daily. When her body was strong enough, Old man Shan would personally train her.
Chen Daiyu and Shan Yijun joined the other children, with Old Man Shan and Lu Ji watching over them, earning dissatisfaction from the original trainees who were still training with all their might yet the old man Shan’s attention still can’t stay on them.
After Shan Yijun refused to learn the technique, Old Man Shan looked for talented individuals to train and have them inherit a part of his properties. They were even able to send their families money depending on their progress.

But if the original inheritor had come back, would all their effort have been for naught?
All the children training in the field aside from Chen daiyu and Shan Yijun were already pre-teens. Many of them realized the situation they were in quite quickly, which made them dissatisfied with what was happening.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t do anything about it. Almost all of them came from poor families, after having a taste of living in Shan mansion, they were really unwilling to go back.
Chen Daiyu and Shan Yijun ran around the field until Shan Yijun saw black. He almost fainted, yet when he saw Chen Daiyu, who had a weaker constitution than him still going even though she looked like she was about to fall, he couldn’t stop himself and ran past Chen Daiyu as if competing with her.
Chen Daiyu smirked and did the same. The silly competition continued until both of them fell out of exhaustion.
“Jeez, don’t the two of you know your limits?” Lu Ji picked up both of them at the same time and laid them on a chair, handing them both water bottles.
Both of them didn’t have the energy to laugh so they could only smile at their uncle. Lu Ji then continued to stare at Chen Daiyu for too long, making her uncomfortable.
“Uncle don’t stare at Yu Yu, you’ll make her uncomfortable.” Shan Yijun whined.
“Oh, I just wanted to ask… have you invited everyone for your birthday party?”
Chen Daiyu already noticed that he didn’t mean what he asked, she still smiled and answered. “I invited everyone that’s nice to me”
“Mmm good, if anyone bullies you, you gotta tell uncle and uncle will help you beat them” Lu Ji flexed and puffed his chest.
“Ok!” Chen Daiyu giggled.

Bright Battle Story: Tactics Heart
This is Bright Battle Academy. It is not a place where your hand will be held or your failings compensated for. It is not a place for the weak, or the subversive, or the conspicuously diverse. This is Bright Battle Academy, where champions are forged and legends begin. Dwarfs? Once they were part of the great alliance. They helped build this very academy. But they were so stubborn, so unyielding, so unwilling to bend themselves to the rules. And so they weakened, and so they declined, and so their empires faded. What few that are left shun the academy. We have no dwarfs here. Rogues? Perhaps a handful in the sprawl, hiding in the shadows, hoarding their merits, hoping to buy a promotion to something remotely useful, ninja or assassin perhaps. But in the academy proper? No. We have no rogues here. And yet despite everything here she stands. Nala Greyward, Dwarf Rogue. Pettiest of thieves. Unpleasantest of surprises. Causer of problems. So she killed an ogre. So nobody knows how she did it. So what. Throw her in with the real prospects, with the elves and the vampires and the fighters and the magic users.
