Near noon, Alicia made her way towards Mi Rae's office.She had to know about the law in case of deceased parents and guardianship relations. She also had an ulterior motive which she hoped to fulfill as well..With two lunch boxes prepared,Alicia made her way towards Mi Rae's law offices.

Mi Rae was currently waiting for a new client.The client was supposed to be here about thirty minutes ago but had yet to show up.The client was her first VIP case and would prove crucial to her success.She looked at the time and wondered if she should call Alicia and cancel their lunch meeting.This lady was important and..Alicia did say that she was going to be here just to catch up..

Just then her assistant knocked on the door and even before she could ask the person to enter, Alicia came into the room like a breath of fresh air. Mi Rae shook her head and wondered how Alicia was always so glowy!!It must be the result of always being pampered or something!But Mi Rae knew that the woman worked as hard if not harder as herself. With a smile, Alicia Hugged Mi Rae and then plopped in the seat near the table. "How are you doing, my Mi Rae?"

Mi Rae always felt a tickle when Alicia addressed her as hers because it always reminded her of Neil being offended!Seeing Mi Rae's silly smile, Alicia grinned and continued, "I have had a rather eventful day! If you have the time, can you help me out with a few things?I am actually here for an important reason.I thought you had a client!Am I disturbing you?I came early because whenever I am late I always get stuck in traffic and then I am more late!So I try not to be late by being late."

Naturally Mi Rae understood nothing from that explanation but she nodded nonetheless.She could guess the meaning.Mi Rae then explained dryly,"My client is late by half an hour.I reserved an hour for her and here I am waiting for her to even arrive.Sigh!Wives of these Presidents and CEO's are really irritating!They are so spoiled they think the world needs to revolve around them."

Alicia smiled at that rant and leaning forward said conspirationally,"I am a CEO's wife.I bet you didn't know that!"Mi Rae was at first embarassed ather faux pas but seeing that Alicia was actually grinning and wasn't offended,she burst out laughing even as she apologized for her generalized statement. A moment later a flustered woman in an expensive chanel dress was escorted inside by the assistant.Seeing that Attorney Zheng was already occupied she wanted to rage but she couldn't mess up with this lawyer.Nobody else could save her from her husband. Observing the state the woman was in,Alicia excused herself and said,I'll wait outside till you finish the meeting. The lady wanted to thank the woman and came forward to do so but just then the envelope in her hand fell down,scattering a number of photos and papers.The woman quickly apologized and bent to gather the stuff.Alicia bent down to help the woman but as she held the photos,she mistakenly glanced at them and her eyes first widened and then narrowed.A small smile then graced her lips.Well well well!What good timing.Looking at the woman in front of her,Alicia sniped her most charming smile.The woman was dazed for a minute by that and Alicia continued, "Madam,please do not be offended but I would like to send you an invite.I understand that this is an inopportune time but trust me,you will thank me later."With that Alicia handed the woman a thick blue envelope made of handmade paper.The woman was a part of the high society social circle so she naturally knew what the card was.She stared at it in a daze. Mi Rae cleared her throat and guided the lady to sit.The woman finally sat down and instead of discussing her case,the first thing she asked was,"Is this card real and valid?Have I really been invited to the annual ball at Lance Inc.?

Mi Rae was astounded at the level of awe this invitation inspired and said dryly,"It must be since it was handed to you personally by Madam Long."

The woman was even more shocked and said,"that woman was Madam Long?"

Mi Rae thought that it was time for her to divert the discussion and get back to the case.After changing a topic multiple times and even not answering any questions,Mi Rae was finally able to understand the case.

Meanwhile Alicia left the lunchboxes with Mi Rae's assistant and said she would be back in an hour.

Ten minutes later,a glowing Alicia made a call to her hubby from her personal office.Since he was working at home today,everyone in Ryu's team was shocked to see her but seeing her walking like a tiger, nobody dared to approach her. Once Ryu answered her call,Alicia squealed into her phone,"hubby!we are having a change of plans!Your virtue is now safe!"With that Alicia went on to explain what had just transpired and then finally said, "See!Even the fates have wanted you to take me on our pending date!get ready hubby.I will be coming back soon!" Ryu and Alicia had been planning a date into he earlier days of her pregnancy but when Alicia had told him about her date plans,Ryu had deemed them dangerous and refused to take her there.Iwas only when Alicia had forced him,he had agreed that she would abandon her current plan.And now she had an alternative so her hubby was safe.She danced happily in her office when Ryu agreed to take her and planned to take Mi Rae shopping with her!

Ryu on the other hand was currently cursing himself.By abandoning her revenge plan he had meant to say letting him handle it but she had twisted the wording to suit herself!This was the last such date they would have before the baby!He then made a call to book a babysitter.
