As they made way towards the forest Ru continued to pretend to be scared and terrorized.But the truth was something else..When Ru had suffered under the hands of his birth mother,he had also developed a few symptoms of a psychologial ondition called Alexithymia.With this condition,he had difficulty in feeling emotions like empathy,care and fear.The truth was that he had no emotional attachments what so ever with anyone other than his family.The first person he had felt an attachmet to outside of his family was his Alicia mother and he had latched onto her like an octopus.With her he was able to feel an emotional connection and for her,he tended to act his age.By the time he had realized there was something wrong with how he felt nothing for outsiders,he had already started to form an attachment with his mother and so he decided to not worry himseld over anything.

This lack of emotions of rather the lack of understanding of his emotions,Ru felt no fear.His brain had been calmly keeping a track of the number of turns they took to get here and what the average speed of the car had been like.And he could have memorixed the way from here as well with his eyes closed but he needed some advantage..and their behavior was that advantage.

Ru had been trained in self defense for the last two years ever since they had moved to Country A since they had been at a high risk.But he did not know much about weapons and was worried about their use.

Ru fell down on his knees suddenly and pretended to have fainted over from fright.The goons all rushed to him to check on him.Though these people had undertaken such a risky mission,one thing had been clear in their mind,as long as the boy was living bruised but living they would have a chance of escape.But if something were to happen to this boy,then his father would drag them from the deepest of hells.

Ascertaining that the boy had mostly dehydrated and fainted they sprinkled some water on him and tried to have him drink some.But even though he stirred,he still cried patheticlly for his aunt Mi Rae.Mi Rae who had been listening to everything wanted to escape her captor to console the little bou and felt powerless.Suddenly the blind fold was ripped off and her hands were untied.Taking a second to adjust to the sudeen movement she spotted Ru sitting on the muddy ground feebly.She ran to him and taking the water from their captors,helped Ru lean against her to feed him some water.Ru held her hand tightly in his and closed his eyes as he slowly sipped the water.

Suddenly Mi Rae's eyes widened.Ru was moving his finger on her palm..And it was not a simple movement.She tried t guess the character and it read,"RUN?" with a question mark at the end.She sloely looked at the boy who was a minute crying but though his eyes were still watery,his gaze was clear and unfazed.But Mi Rae shook her head slowly.It was already dark and the forest was filled with the sounds of the night creatures roaming around the place.They had walked in far and even if they escaped now, the chances of escaping unscathed were greatly reduced.But she knew she could not explain this to Ru so she only shook her head. The leader was now getting impatient and tried to hurry them up.

Immediately Ru turned and held on to Mi Rae tightly as if scared and so the leader decided to let them be and ordered them to follow quickly. The pace was now increased and they could do nothing but quietly follow.Soon they reached a clearing..and beyond the clearing was a small cabin hidden from view by the tall trees.Ru's feet slowed down to a drag.He did not want to go inside..Somehow he felt that this was their last chance of escape and once they were inside,all will be lost.The leader saw the reluctant look on his faced and laughed out loud."What is it boy?Do you think you will be able to escape?You can forget it.There is only one door to this place and it will always be heavily guarded.And as you can see there are no windows so a little one like you cannot climb out of it as well..Come on now!Are you not gonna cry this time?You can do something like-'Uncle please let me go' by getting on your knees and begging me..I am very generous!Maybe I will let you go then... "

All five of the kidnappers laughed and jeered at that.Ru could feel the anger burn inside him and suddenly he straightened and stared at the man. The leader looked at the child who was now staring so abruptly and felt goosebumps raise on his skin.The child was fearlessly looking at him and there was not even a hint of the earlier tears and terror..Aybe the child had overcome his anxiety or...the kid had been acting all along!But the idea of a seven year old being able to remain calm in such a situation was preposterous and made the leader scoff on the inside.He thought that the child was acting brave and sought to teach him a lesson.He decided to give him a quick but hard slap to instill some of the earlier fear in the boy..But before the slap could land,Mi Rae rushed forward and pushed him away.
