Unlucky?Player Chapter 130

"It is Everzone vs Mocha, both of these players are unique. We don't know the real identity of either. However, what's funny is that one is a druid and the other is most likely a saint. The latter has some funny skills, and he holds a staff."
"Haha, it seems that the first annual international Genesis event is being fully utilized by those who aren't known. Night and his friend made their debut and they can now openly contribute to the overall world development of Genesis. That isn't the end though, there's this Everzone and Mocha character, but Mocha....this guy he's the same one who was competing with Kira, he was on the leaderboard, I don't think it's fair we put him in the same category as the others....after all, everyone knows the name Mocha but nobody knows the name behind the mask...anyway, it is going to be interesting to see the state of the game after the event..."
"I agree, the event quite literally acted as a stage for them to show off. There are drawbacks to taking part in the events though, the players here are missing out on playing in their "actual" account, meaning other players could potentially take advantage of this and progress. Yes, there are rewards for the winners and the rewards may very well be worth the absence, but what about those that lose? they are wasting precious time. Anyway, this is probably going to be an issue only this one time, I heard a rumor that Genesis is now going to have international events where players represent their own countries to fight against other countries...."
"That's going to be amazing! imagine! It would be like the Olympics but for a Video Game.....truly amazing....but wait...if Night and his friend are close then are they perhaps from the same country? won't this be a little too much? "
"You worry too much! just because they are friends doesn't mean they live in the same country. Besides, I doubt they'll be able to beat an entire team, sure they may be the best of the best but that won't change the fact that they can't do everything on their own."
.
.
.
Mocha/Valerian stood there with his staff. He was curious as to who his opponent was so he hadn't attacked yet. Everzone wasn't even hiding his identity. He let the world look at him but this was still the first time anyone heard the name "Everzone", by the looks of it he was someone who put a lot of time and effort into the game. He had blonde hair and was lean, he could almost be called lanky. He had brown eyes and his eyebrows and lashes looked perfectly maintained. It was a rather awkward look for a druid, one would expect someone with a beard and someone who looked a little older, not someone who looked like a member of an idol group.

"Boy band...." Mocha muttered as he looked at his opponent.
"What? Mister...did you say something?" Everzone questioned.
'K-kawai.....I want to pat his head....'
"N-no no nothing...." Mocha replied while waving his hands.
"Oh..." the boy frowned, "that's okay then..."
'Why is he disappointed.....'
"Anyway, here I come!"
'Not bad..' Mocha thought as he blocked Everzone's attack by raising his own staff. It was funny to watch, two players, both capable of using magic to some extent yet there they were using wooden sticks to fight each other.
"Realms blessing" Mocha whispered. A faint golden light enveloped his body, making him feel warmer and lighter. The skill increases his speed and damage by 10%, it wasn't too much at the lower levels but the reason it was special was that it was a crowd skill. Meaning the skill could be used on an entire army at once. However, the effectiveness decreased by a lot in PvP, there was only Mocha but any buff is an important buff.
"Holy light"
"Warmth of the One"
"Cleanse"
Nobody expected Mocha to use so many buffs, as a matter of fact, nobody knew he COULD use so many skills, sure the saint class is a support class but it wasn't ONLY a support class, the saint class could literally bring wrath upon those deemed as enemies. However, that still didn't explain the numerous buff skills he used, but what most people constantly forget is the fact that he was once in the top three of the leaderboard. Just that alone makes him a player that cannot be predicted easily.
"A lot of buffs...." Everzone said in a daze. If he was being honest, he himself had no idea how he reached this stage, he simply spammed a few spells and they killed the opponent. Would anyone believe him if he said that? of course not. It was absurd, they would probably call him a show-off who was looking for more compliments. Everzone genuinely believed he didn't deserve to be there, perhaps it was true? At the beginning of every fight, he would reassure himself mentally. He had to, otherwise, his hands wouldn't stop shaking and his breathing would become very unstable.
'What am I doing here? Do I actually deserve to be here?'
"That kid....." Luke mumbled

"Hmm? what about him?" Nate asked curious as to what his friend saw in the boy who looked like an idol.
"I want to invite him to the guild....."
"Huh? what? I think I misheard you, because it sounded like you said you wanted to invite some random guy hahaha"
"You didn't mishear me.....I do want to invite him...."
"..."
"That's okay right?" Luke realized he wasn't the leader of the clan and he couldn't make such important decisions on his own.
"Of course....if you think that way then there must be a reason, so go for it. I trust you, next time, you don't need to ask me before inviting anyone..."
Nate found it a little innocent, the way Luke asked him for permission. He was curious though, why would his friend, a genius in multiple arts, want some random guy to join the clan? especially when there were players who had the potential to become the best of the best.
"That should do it," Mocha grinned as he felt the immense amount of power surging through his body. He shot towards Everzone who was still somewhat in a daze.
*TACKKK*
Their staffs clashed except this time, Mocha had a clear advantage, all his buffs were paying off. His health regeneration, damage, speed, evasion, and INT were all increased. Everzone was sent flying back, only then did he properly snap out of his daze.
"Angel blade!" Mocha roared. Numerous mini-white blades with a hint of yellow in them formed all around him and shot themselves towards Everzone.
"Vine Trap!" Everzone yelled. It was a good counter, green thick-stemmed vines hot out from the ground and acted as a wall. The multiple angel blades all crashed into the green plant-like creations and completely destroyed them. However, in doing so even the blades were destroyed.
'Not bad...but still nothing like mine,' Mocha thought before he used a skill similar to the skill Everzone had just used. "Vine Storm!"
Sounds of rustling were heard and from the ground shot out dozens upon dozens of vines, it made the skill Everzone used, Vine Trap, as a joke. It was like comparing a playground to an actual ground.
There was no way Everzone could do anything, all his opponents so far were mediocre at the best, they wouldn't even dodge, they would play as if it were a turn-based game. The difference in experience was a huge factor. Most of the players would simply level up without exploring too much or taking on quests, they would only focus on doing one thing and that was grind levels. The majority of their skills were horribly underdeveloped compared to players like Mocha, Aurora, Night, etc.
'I see...I just need more experience....if only that were so easy to gain...' Everzone thought before turning into white particles. He stood no chance against Mocha's spell, even if he could do something, he had no time to react, the vines just moved too fast for him.
The winner was Mocha. It was a clean and effortless match in the eyes of the audience, it looked like a match between a student and a teacher, Everzone was the student, and Mocha, the teacher. The entire duel lasted for a little over a single minute. After the first few clashes between the staff users, Mocha decided it was time and finished the match.
"Guess...I'll be fighting Nate next...haaah someone save me," he muttered as he looked up into the sky.
"You still want to invite the guy?"
"Yes," Luke responded with no hesitation.
"Bah...I don't understand why but whatever, you have the same authority as me, and I trust you so go for it."
"...Thank you...I don't understand why either but somethings calling me...my instincts tell me it's the right choice and as I was once told...I rely too much on my instincts..." Luke smiled as he recalled the memories of Noel teaching him how to properly utilize his skills.
