Unlucky?Player Chapter 121

A bomb-shell. That was a literal bombshell. Everyone assumed Night to be some kind of unique class, which he was but all the skills he had shown so far belonged to the Grandmaster, a hidden class the general audience dubbed the worst. Why was it the worst? players who chose the Grandmaster class could use any weapon as long as they meet the conditions or requirements, what was the catch that made the majority of the players and fans hate the class. Other than the stats getting cut in half, which considering the fact that it was in the beginning, is not that big of a debuff. The Grandmaster class had next to no skills and purely relied on weapon aura, even if skills did exist, they were next to impossible to get or they were not too great.
This could be fixed if the player were to reach level 100, where the opportunity to gain access to a hidden or a second class could present itself at any given time. It was the journey till level 100 that made it difficult, as of now, there was only a single Grandmaster who was in the leaderboards, as well as the only Grandmaster who was taking part in the PvP event, naturally, this was Night.
Even if they did somehow put their biases aside and accept the fact that he was a Grandmaster, it wouldn't explain the dark clouds they saw.
"It is a mystery. Even if we were to assume he is a Grandmaster, what about the black clouds? what about the shooting without the arrows?"
"You fool! I am a Grandmaster and I am telling you, we do not require any arrows, we have a basic skill called Grandmaster's Majestic arts that helps us channel the inner energy into the shape of an arrow, or any other shape as long as we have enough control, though currently, I can only use it to make arrows...."
"You are suggesting those black clouds are because of the Grandmaster's majestic arts?? well, is it??"
"Err this.....I cannot answer, there is one thing, there is a probability that Night managed to learn weapon aura, which is basically, the manifestation of your inner aura, but even then, it shouldn't be black...."
"Weapon aura??? but that takes years to learn! There are some lunatics who are still wasting their time, they assume the wait will be worth it in the end, hah, I guess we can only assume for now or hope that Night himself would reveal something...."

"Yeah, poor Kira, he does not know what hit him, let's just wait and watch I guess.."
"What...was that?" Kira stuttered in agony, the darkness that was eating away at his shoulders finally disappeared. It didn't stop at just the top layer of his armor, the dark arrow that pierced him continued eating away layers even after it touched the skin. He looked at Night in a whole new light, right now, Kira was processing everything that just happened. From Night taking out and using a bow to the dark clouds that shot itself as he willed.
"Mmm a little preview of my powers if you will," Night chuckled, "do not get me wrong, I'm not here to showcase each and every power of mine, I only did that to tell you that any effort to counter me with something as basic as using the opposite element is not going to work. I mean, it might but that's assuming you have some high-tier spells?"
"I'll assume you do have a few, but you are not foolish enough to use them recklessly, it will only lead to your death, no, you're waiting, but what for? oh. Haha, you're waiting for me to run out of mana? or maybe feel tired? or are you perhaps waiting for me to use the skill I used against Jet Sky?"
'Hopefully this ruse works, it'll make me seem more "Player Night, the anomaly" like'
It was out of character. It was nothing like Night or Luke to provoke the opponent so much. The ones who were familiar with him were quite surprised to hear his comments as well, Valerian especially. Nate more or less understood the stupid motive behind his friend's actions, after all, there was a reason they were so close.
"..." Kira removed the hand he had over his wound and tightened the grip over his sword, "I see, a futile attempt but nevertheless an attempt,"
He dashed forward, knowing very well the fate that awaited him. He shot the fireball at Night's feet, hoping that would be enough to catch him off guard.
Fantasy, it was stupid to expect such a trick would work but it was a dying man's hail mary, and the only thing that mattered in a duel is the winner.

"Hah," Night scoffed as he disappeared, he could predict Kira's moves, even the ones the latter planned to make. "You wanted me to jump up to avoid the explosion and then while I was in the air, you would strike me huh? not bad but not enough,"
'But if I knew this, there's no way you wouldn't see it, a trap huh? I'll bite,' Night thought as he reappeared behind Kira. A blade approached him, the second he appeared behind Kira, there was a sword a second away from slicing him. Night skillfully parried the attack with his Glacial Balance and kick his opponent in the gut.
"Urgh..." Kira grunted as he was pushed back. 'Heok...how strong is this guy? his weapon switching is too OP, there was no way I would win, I was aware of that, but the difference is still too much, he isn't using his skills, not even the dark clouds, he's beating me with just martial arts. I have next to no chance to use my magic, the second I use any major spell, he's countering it....'
'Guess, I'll go all out, the next one minute decides everything...' Kira thought before closing his eyes, 'Infuse the sword with wind magic, and use fire magic as well, they complement each other,'
*𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒌𝒍𝒆*
Kira's sword erupted, flames overtook the sword and they seemed more violent than usual. Faint traces of wind magic, there was some sort of upward breeze constantly keeping the fire violent. "Here I come!!" he roared as he dashed towards Night.
'Not too fast but dangerous' Night thought as he sidestepped to dodge the sword, it was a few centimeters away, he could feel the heat of the blaze. 'Wait somethings wro-', before he could finish analyzing the situation properly, the flames that he clearly dodged lunged at him.
*𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑴*
'Wind magic did that huh?' Night thought as he appeared 20 meters away from Kira. "A close call, that wind magic is dangerous," he wiped the sweat off his forehead. Unfortunately, this time he was not given even a second to rest, two near-transparent wind blades nearly cut him in half. Thankfully, his Glacial Balance was perfect for such situations, he used the weapon as a meatshield, since it essentially had unlimited durability, though he had to keep an eye on the number.
"I'm going to end this," Night announced as he changed to his bow, Dawn's Bow.
"Show me whatchu got," Kira spat out some blood.
'This should work, right? I don't even know, whatever,' he thought before he shot a charged dark arrow into the sky. Night then rushed Kira, he switched to his Glacial Balance and struck him, it wasn't too hard but the force behind the strike still surprised Kira who parried it with his own sword.
"You do realize, I'm aware the arrow is going to fall here, it's no use if I know, I simply have to dodge, who knows maybe I'll push you into the path of the arrow," Kira scoffed. 'Yeah, right, I just had to show off and speak big, there is no way in hell I can push this dude anywhere,'
"Oh? is that what you thought it was for? well, I'm going to be honest, this is the first time I've ever tried this, I'm excited to see if it works but I'm sure even if it doesn't I won't have any issue," Night said as he clashed weapons against Kira.
"A bluff? what else could you possibly use the arrow for?" Kira scoffed as he struck Night.
"Hmm if I can control the dark clouds into an arrow, don't you think I can do the opposite as well," Night said as he kicked Kira into the path of the arrow.
"What does tha-," Kira looked up and immediately dodged the arrow by stepping sideways, unfortunately for him, he realized what Night meant a little too late.
"No wai-"
*𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑴*
Just before the arrow touched the ground, it changed its trajectory and shot itself into Kira's skull before exploding and turning him into nothing but white dust particles. Night stood there with his Glacial Balance in his hand, he watched as Kira slowly disappeared.
"That was fun," he muttered, "Thank you.."

Ancient Mana Dungeon Core.
Yes the tags are necessary, they will make sense eventually too. Art is not mine, found it on pintrest btw the title on the thing apparently has no name, or at least no title that you can search, at least, but i found this: ‘ArtStation - [UE4] Lost Temple Ruins Jonas Axelsson’ (if your curious I was searching ancient temple game art when i found it don’t bother clicking the link on the thing that says facebook, it does not work) (i will not lie this is kinda my first publication so go easy on me). A while ago I fell in love with the Dungeon Core stories and decided: ‘Heck, why not make my own spin on things!’ and so i started brainstorming what to do and i kinda just found the idea for the story during it. This is the story of a guy named Michael Alex (not a typo that is the name I will be using for him) he was an avid fiction writer and reader who was just sitting on his couch playing a puzzle game on his phone called: Ruins of Drailmor Keep (a three in one deal: tower defence, Puzzle (mazes generally), and world building (namely building on the ashes of fallen empires and regulating certain things while the waves of enemies keeps coming back to burn it down and ruin it just like the curse would while ocasionally sending out your own monsters to get rare rescources)) when he gets an alert and well one thing leads to another and he died to a freak avalanche. He then comes into contact with the universe's will (basically something that *insert your prefered deity here* cooperated with to make the world (heaven, hell, the mortal world, yggdrasil, basically every "world" that has been made (in reality, mythology, games, books, cartoons/movies, and memes!) but also had a mind of its own at the same talk.) and Michael and the Universe’s Will talked and this story is about the outcome of said discussion.
