Unlucky?Player Chapter 119

Aurora was beautiful, more than capable of driving men mad. No matter how crazy some were they wouldn't risk their lives over merely breathing the same air as her. There were a few exceptions even to this, however, none of them were in any shape to tell the story. A woman attractive enough to draw the gazes of everyone but still blocked by some kind of an obstacle, an obstacle that can never be crossed, at least as long as Hector Cirillo, the strongest man alive was still standing. "Only a man capable of besting my father," was something she truly believed in, at least when it came to choosing a partner. On the other hand, we have Luke, just as good-looking as Aurora and yet cursed by lady luck, he was charming enough to attract the attention of many and strong enough to keep it, and yet, there was one obstacle that he couldn't overcome, not yet at least.
Aurora never lacked any sort of attention, she often got marriage requests, from politicians to actors, to world-class businessmen, but she felt agitated and annoyed when another woman expressed her love for Night.
'I don't understand this feeling....what do I care for some stupid wench with a horse's face expressing her sacred love for Night, someone I barely know, for heaven's sake I just fought the guy....'
"You expect me to be scared because I interrupted you? or because of your little fire show? I would've gone to a circus if I wanted to see pyro-kinetics, so no thank you please," Nala scoffed, "you're a mage, I'm an assassin, you should give up, I'm your weakness."
While Nala tried provoking Aurora, the latter stayed calm and didn't react to the idle chit chat, she was busy muttering away the chant for a spell in her skill list. Spells that required chants were said to be extremely strong, well naturally, since they required a few paragraphs to work. How are they different from normal spells and what makes them stronger? simple. Chants were used to tap into the true foundation of the spell, every spell had a structure, a very detailed and specific structure, naturally information that complicated cannot be stored by mortals. Hence, the chants are a method of calling forth the spell, along with its basic structure.
"𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑭𝒊𝒓𝒆, 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒌𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒅𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏

"NO! I won't let you!" Nala screamed as she shot towards Eve, her dexterity truly proving that she was an assassin. She pulled out her dagger and prepared to use her skill. Her green cape fluttered as she tried her best to close in.
"Die you stupid whore," Eve muttered.
"Herald of Fire!"
*𝑩𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑶𝑴*
It was catastrophic, utter demolition, beautiful to those that fancied destruction, threatening to those that fought her next. The entire colosseum was enveloped in flames, the windy weather further enhanced and attributed to the spell. There was no trace of Nala, even after the flames died out, it was just Aurora standing, with the dying fire reflected in her eyes.

"Hey would you look at that, Miss Cirillo there decimated someone obsessed with you, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that you put her brother in a fear-induced paralysis," Nate said in a sarcastic tone.
"Come on now....it was not that bad, just a tug should be enough, besides there was nothing to be afraid of....it's just a side effect of having the energy in him dispersed," Luke said as he looked at the crimson-haired princess burn down the entire arena, "well her match is a done deal, the next few matches are kinda boring, what do you wanna do?"
"Not very fair we call the matches boring considering everyone taking part is above the level 90, but makes sense I guess, oh yeah I wanted to confirm..."
"Hmm? confirm what?" Luke asked, curious as to what his friend doubted. There wasn't a lot Nate did not know, and if there was anything it was usually for a reason.
"You're planning on asking Valerian and his group to join right?" Nate said, surprising Luke who was expecting a more serious question.
".....Kind of....but yeah, I was, I haven't met anybody, it might be weird but Genesis is huge man...like HUGE, oh fun fact, the number of drops I've gotten are under 10, I think under 5 even.." Luke said as counted the fingers on his hand, "yeah 5...but that's not the point, my point is, Genesis is so big, we've barely touched anything but we're already blessed by entities that are at the "end of the game", both of us have our class quests, we're barely above level 100, while there are NPC's who are level 300 just walking around like it's nothing..."

"Yeah you went off-track there buddy,"
"No, ssh just, just lemme finish," Luke said as he pressed his finger to his friend's lips, "my point is, we need people we can trust and even though I didn't ask them to, Valerian and his friends kept my identity or the fact that I met them a secret, Valerian's a bigshot, literally all of them are, they have no reason whatsoever to do so, which is why I think inviting them to join the guild is a good idea..."
"...wow...I don't know what to say man...." Nate said as he pressed Luke's neck, "didn't know you were such a sad romantic, pffttt"
"Hey fck you," Luke said as he turned away.
"Come on come on, I'm kidding, all I mean is, you don't need to explain this stuff to me man, as a matter of fact, you don't need to explain yourself to me ever, I trust you, no matter what...Primordials for life right?" Nate said as he pointed his fist at Luke.
"So that's the slogan you came up with huh?" Luke returned the gesture and bumped fists with his friend, "alright then, Primordials for life,"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"His name is Luke....I couldn't get his last name but Luke's his first name, for sure, unless he lied to me which I really doubt," Arthur said as he put his drink down.
(A/N- FYI: Arthur Richardson is Zane and Elena Richardson, his sister is Elion.
I understand remembering the names of characters can be quite hard sometimes, especially those that are left in the dark for plot purposes,. Don't worry I gotchall)
"Luke....Luke.....who is this kid and by the way he fought you his skill is no doubt exceptional.....what do you think we should do....Arthur...brother, I understand that you're the genius behind the plan and I help in the execution, the brains to the brawn but even then, he beat you a little too easily...." Elena replied as he massaged her eyebrows.
"You're right if it was him do you think I would go and flaunt? there's no doubt that it's my birthright to be king but only a real king knows that, sometimes, watching is the best option. You are my blade Elena....that's how it's always been, I too think it was too easy...my guess? he's hiding his strength...and it's your job to make sure he uses it all, let him expose his strengths then the weaknesses will pour out naturally."
"The PvP huh? well you're right, if everything goes right then I'll be facing him soon, I'll make sure I drag out all his little secrets," Elena said as she raised her drink in the air.
*𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘬*
Arthur gladly accepted his sister's gesture and said, "well once he's out of the picture, nothing will stop us from taking the world of Genesis for ourselves, if everything goes right..which it will, I will become the first player King of Genesis and you will become my secret weapon..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Sir about the clan event....there are only 4 clans taking part...and one of them belongs to Night and his friend, well...the friend is the official creator...but that's not the issue sir. It's going to be a 2v10....I don't know who'll win and frankly, at this point, I'm only afraid of the conspiracies that'll emerge if Night and his friend win."
"NotYourTypicalMage or Nate....as Night calls him....Luke and Nate...." Kenny said as he looked at his palm, "Reed....you underestimate his friend, his friend might just be a bigger threat than Night himself...I'm not sure why but it's just a thought...something about him keeps me on the edge. He managed to put forward a pretty good guess about the current worldview of Genesis and how certain mobs work and that was on spot. Imagine him, the leader of a clan, has hours, no, days to think, maybe even weeks....hah! Nate as the leader, the face of the clan, the voice of the people, and Luke as the secret weapon, the one who represents the feelings of the crowd. A sword and shield, no scratch that, one is both a sword and a shield and the other is...well, this is funny but the other is a double-edged sword. I pity the fools that cross their path, no matter who it is until the majority explore the game, Reed mark my words, circle the date on the calendar,
I predict the first king of the game to be NotYourTypicalMage."
