Unlucky?Player Chapter 114

Martial arts, throughout the vast worlds there existed many forms and techniques of ancient martial arts, some even lost due to time, some even dubbed as taboo to practice, like the blood vein technique, it's said that this technique requires one to pierce their veins with needles infused with some special medicine, though initially, this did have its benefits, however, within a year the users were said to have gone out of control, their bloodlust was increased tenfold and the individuals were said to have lost their morality as well.
Even the smallest or the rarest form of martial arts was covered by KYOJIN and implemented into Genesis, this was also one of the reasons why everyone was so surprised, some even questioned Kenny Smith's identity, was he a human? could humans actually do this? it can be said without a doubt that Kenny was one of the most influential people in the whole world. He was the chairman of KYOJIN, a tech-titan, and the company behind the game that more than half the population is playing. The value of Genesis was only increasing day by day, most of all KYOJIN strictly followed one rule and that was the 0 interference policy, they trusted their game as well as the supercomputer ATHENA, it was in charge of bringing balance.
A company that has so many resources as well as a supercomputer whose knowledge probably rivaled the combined knowledge of everyone in the world somehow failed to analyze and capture an individuals fighting style. However, that wasn't the issue, because of how vast the world of martial arts is, a single form existing outside the database isn't "impossible", however, when this technique or form resembled two of the oldest forms(Kalaripayattu and Pankration) and at the same time was used by the only individual who was listed as "system threat" then it becomes quite complicated.

However, there was also the fact that the entire event was taking place in an isolated space and not the world of Genesis. So anything that happens here will not have any effect on the actual gameplay of players. Which was somewhat of a lifesaver as it gave time to analyze the situation better and deal with it effectively.
Unfortunately, this didn't mean they could actually analyze the situation, there wasn't anything wrong with the whole incident or with what Night did, however, put it together with ATHENA forming skills after repetition then it becomes an issue, the main element to be focused on was that when Jet Sky was killed his mana dropped to 0, this was only known by Kenny and the others at KYOJIN but that still doesn't change the fact that Night's martial arts somehow drained the opponent's mana and because it was an isolated world, he didn't receive any notifications regarding the new skill or at least about what he had just done.
Kenny or the development team had a strict policy, and they intended to follow it, they had nothing to do with the skills created, in fact, most of the skills that were available were created by ATHENA, which is what scared them, mana drain is naturally a top-tier skill and if used properly it could very well be the bane of mages as well as any player that focuses on mana to deal damage.
"There isn't anything we can do....whatever happened, happened, we can't get involved and I'm sure ATHENA will handle it, I have no doubts about that, we can just be thankful that it's an isolated space, as well as the fact that Night doesn't seem to use this technique of his..." Kenny said to the others.
After witnessing the fight and what ATHENA had to say about Night's martial arts, Kenny had no choice but to call for a meeting with the development team. A group of 6 experts including Dr. Reed were part of this team. They were all peerless geniuses in their respective field, but this was the first time they had nothing to say.

"..."
Kenny couldn't help but nod, the collective silence resonated with him very well, he could understand what they felt, to be one of the top scientists in the world was to have answers or at least have the capabilities or ideas to find them, however, this situation certainly played with them, where could they start? they couldn't ask Night to come and demonstrate his martial arts, why would he accept? he had no motive or incentive to do so, and more than that, secret arts like his were said to be treasure troves, there's no way Night would simply give it away.
Meanwhile, the crowd was as wild as ever, except the groups of people that focused on Jet Sky's fight, they didn't know what happened to their favorite player, how did he die? was it a glitch? however, one individual in the crowd had an answer and by the look on his face, he had an answer to something else as well.
"That....that....no wonder!! that boy!!" K muttered as he pointed to Night's screen. Curious as to what his friend was talking about, Jace decided to question him,
"What are you on about, have you finally gone senile? my friend," Jace said with a smile.
"Hah? no, bah shut up, that Night boy....I knew I recognized that martial arts somewhere, that's most definitely similar to Luke's, either he is Luke or he's related to him, or this is all just some big coincidence, he has the same hair color and body as well, but I guess we can't really trust a game that much.....I need to get behind this.....I swear on it! that martial art, those vague and precise movements, those absolutely belonged to Luke!" K said as he slammed his fist on the armrest.
"Woah, calm down...I can't tell you anything...to tell you the truth, I couldn't catch anything...and I'm aware that even during the fight he was going easy....if it really is him, we can just find out after this event ends, hopefully, all the players are killed," Jace said as he pointed to the capsules, "see? many of them are already dead, out of the 100, only 30 or something remain, so in those 30 finding a blue-haired boy isn't that hard,"
"Hmmm...you're right...I should calm down..." K said as he exhaled.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.

Adelaide
The entries here are transcribed from the log of Marie Ruiz, first mate of the Adelaide. It was definitely, definitely not published without her permission or knowledge by a certain lovable artificial intelligence for the purpose of sharing it with my AI friends on other ships who follow it like a soap opera. No way, no how. Remember guys, don’t go spreading this around too much. Only pass it on to those you can trust. God forbid this should ever end up on a public network… (Adelaide is a science fiction web serial featuring the adventures of a crew of smugglers. In space. It’s on the softer end of the soft/hard sci-fi spectrum because the author got a C in physics. Updates every other Sunday.)

Evolution of the Lazy Gamer by Bruticus
It had been five years since the game Royalroad first appeared. A new expansion had been released and one person was assigned by his company to review it. That was the beginning of the story of a lazy, unheroic character who would meet others just as lacking in the heroism department as he was. Still life (or virtual life) throws you curve balls and you never know what will happen.
