Unlucky?Player Chapter 107

"What?? Why are you staring at me like that? did I do something? is it about how early we're leaving? this was your idea! you told me we had to go early cause of traffic and shit!" Luke said in an attempt to defend himself.
"....."
"By 'it's a surprise' did you mean, I'll cosplay a lowlife druggie? if that's what you were going for then wow," Nate said while clapping, "you do realize we need to make an impression right? besides WHAT THE F*CK IS THAT MASK????!"
"Yo chill chill, damn, I wore this cause it's comfortable and shit, that's all, especially since we'll be moving around and stuff, besides my sister got me this mask! she thought it was the fire-type legendary p*kemon (Entei)"
As much as Nate hated to say it, even with the stupid and god awful fashion sense of his, Luke for some odd reason looked stunning, the few strands of dark blue hair falling over his face and the sharp purple eyes that seemed to pierce anything paired with the baggy hoodie and the joggers made his overall appearance quite....cute.
'Damn it! he's still going to get chicks, even with dressing like that, tch, bastard' Nate thought, of course, he didn't say it out of hatred, it came from a good and pure place, he could never say anything against Luke, they were best friends.
"Oh it's gonna take us a bit, so I'm gonna sleep," Luke said and not even seconds later he was asleep on Nate's shoulder, who was looking out of the window.
"Luke..." the man groaned.
"Sensei! I apologize.....I'm so sorry, I should've-"
"Shut up gosh..." the man interrupted.
He slowly raised his shaky hand and moved it towards Luke, seeing this Luke was ready to accept the punishment for hurting his sensei but to his surprise, the hand went past his face and fell on his head.

"That was something.....it literally drained me...what was that?" the man asked as he tried to get up with Luke's help, "it didn't break my shoulder or even dislocate it.....I assume it was barely a bruise but the pain....I felt...and the pressure it was truly something else...it felt like all the weight in the world was pushing my shoulder down."
"Once again, I apologize sensei....this disciple shall accept any punishment,"
"Bah, it was a mutually consented match, injuries occur all the time so it does not matter," the man said, "and as for the technique and what you did, I won't ask too much if you do not wish to say,"
"Well...that's not it, to be honest, I'm thinking of how to explain it, I understand it may seem impossible, especially after you told me how it felt, after feeling such pressure and pain it's only natural the entire arm is disintegrated but your arm isn't even dislocated let alone broken....it's just a slight bruising but this is all from the perspective of someone who doesn't see what I see. To me, it was a transfer of energy, the exhausted feeling you're experiencing....that's because the energy in your body was destroyed....completely..." Luke said, he was trying his best to explain, even though he struggled to do so in the beginning, words started to flow after the first few sentences.
"...I....do not know what to say...if that truly is the case then....amazing..." the man stuttered, "listen here Luke, as your Sensei, I ask you to never reveal that technique, only when you're with me, practice it all you want when you're alone but do not use it carelessly....do you understand Luke?"

"Yes, sensei..."
"Now...get up, it's time,"
"Huh?"
"Luke for f*cks sake, it's time to get out, get up jesus! stop hibernating or whatever!" Nate screamed while slapping his friend's face.
"Huh? wait stop sla-"
*𝑷𝑨𝑻*
"...."
"Hehe sorry, anyway we're here so let's go," Nate said as stepped out of the car.
The entire venue was huge, colossal, even titan-like was an understatement, it was more than enough to hold 100K people at a time and that was at a minimum. Just from the outside one could say how luxurious the event was, there were many entrances, of course, the red-carpet entrance being the main was reserved only for celebrities and high profile individuals. The trees and the bushes were perfectly trimmed. Volunteers with proper uniform and IDs which made it easy to differentiate between audience, players, and volunteers. A huge board pointing towards the building which was where the majority of the stalls were set up. The security was tight, with more than 100 guards and scanners placed above the entrance that could essentially search for the traces of any explosives or such. There were even a few undercover guards who were walking around.
Other than the stall area that offered food and refreshments along with new gadgets and whatnot, there was the stadium, the place where the main event would take place. At the center of the stadium was a stage that was unusually small but it wasn't really used for anything. Gaming capsules were placed all around the stage, usually, people would use only a headset, which was way cheaper, there wasn't any big difference between the capsule and the headset, at least in terms of casual gaming.
Of course, there had to be a reason for the price difference, otherwise, the companies that made these gadgets would be sued. Capsules offered better comfort and around a 1% better connection to the character in the game, of course, for casual play that percentage meant nothing but for a few that was a lot but that wasn't to say that those with capsules could beat those with headsets. It was just that headsets aren't exactly suited for long hours of gaming.
Once again as Luke and Nate walked past the crowd, they drew many eyes not because of how well dressed Nate was but because of how casually Luke dressed. Almost every individual there dressed formally, leaving literally only one person in casual clothes but by the looks of it Luke didn't seem to notice it.
"I think Sensei and his friend might come here as well...." Luke said.
"Huh? you really think so? well, I won't be too surprised but it is a little weird that they would show any interest in gaming but I guess you can never judge a book by its cover..."
"Quick! Valerian Milo is here!!"
"What??!! Let's go at once!!"
"Hah Aurora Cirillo is there as well!"
"Only a fool would try, her father is THE Hector Cirillo so don't even bother!"
The sudden screams caught everyone including Luke and Nate's attention, they saw a bunch of reporters rushing to the red carpet.
'Aurora.... is it her?' Luke thought as he looked towards the red carpet.
'Cirillo.....she's the granddaughter of Jace Cirillo?....' Nate said internally.

GLADIUS // Eret X Reader
PHANTASM SERIES BOOK 4---Gladius, (noun): (in ancient Rome) a short sword.---Eret perked up as soon as you and Simon walked into the room, a wide and welcoming smile coming onto his face. He was softer looking than his father had been, but you could still see some of the similar traits. He had a head of thick dark curls, and the same sharp jaw that his father had had. He wasn't as bulky though - he was tall and thin - and his face was a lot more open. What separated him most from his father's likeness though was the colorful cape, and the large mirrored glasses he wore - swirling with colors reflected from the room. He stood from his seat when Maven let the doors swing shut behind her, that wide smile still on his face. "You must be the embassy.""And you must be King Eret." You said, stooping into a bow. "Oh, there's no need for that." Eret said as you rose from your bow. He stepped down from the dias where his throne sat - colorful cape trailing behind him - and came to stand in front of you, taking your hand instead. "I'm not really one for formalities." He grinned, shaking your hand. His palm was warm against yours, and you could feel some slight callouses - most likely from practicing his sword work.
