Unlucky?Player Chapter 99

'It is definitely weird...it has been what? a few months? then what's with this feeling of familiarity? as if I've been doing this for years...no decades, there, he's throwing that left hook again, he hasn't even moved his arm but I can feel it, it's most definitely going to be a left hook, just like how I can feel the energy in me, flowing, moving, overcoming, I can....at least it feels like I can see the energy in his body, moving around. But he's doing it all wrong, the energy isn't tranquil... it's rebelling, the energy from different parts of his body are all clashing against each other, it's not peaceful, it's not beautiful, it's not...familiar' The boy thought as he leaned forward to taunt the left hook he expected but he moved back ever so slightly, his eyes slowly following the hook as it reached the end of its trajectory.
'Guess I'm kind enough to let his punch reach its end. Regardless of how unappealing or debauched his energy is, energy is still energy, that punch definitely had the strength to knock down someone but that's all it had. Let me show you, here,' the boy said internally before he whipped his right leg onto his opponents face but just before it landed the opponent managed to block it with his right hand, leaving him in an awkward position where both his hands were crossed, completely abandoning his abdomen region, unfortunately before he could react, the boy leaned and twisted his body towards the right.
'It definitely is weird....this is my first match excluding my spars or practice sessions with Sensei...the energy, from both my feet, from the rotation, the leaning, I can feel the energy playing around together as it flows into my hands, it is as if the energy is reaching its hand out to itself,'

The air was cleanly knocked out of the opponent, as he froze in his place before falling backward onto the ropes, obviously, the hook was more than enough to knock out certain wild beasts as well.
"Come on now Kid....have you no mercy?" a white-haired bulky man asked.
He wore a karate gi which clearly couldn't hold back his cannon-like arms. He quietly watched without saying a single thing, throughout the match, he observed both the fighters, even though this man was a legend, known throughout the martial arts world, he could barely keep up with movements and the skill the young boy was exhibiting.
'It has been 2 months or so....he lacked any prior combat experience, never got into any fights in school, never got into any fights in his neighborhood, heck he wasn't even bullied. Yet the technique and split-second decisions he made were more than accurate, sure this could easily be replicated by professionals but it is literally impossible for some 2-month-old amateur to pull off....'
"Sensei," the kid bowed while cupping his fists, "I assumed it would be disrespectful to the opponent if I did so, I didn't really consider it as 'not showing mercy', I just wanted it to be a proper fight..."
'But it was meant to be a spar....' the white-haired man thought, "that is true...anyway that's alright I guess.."
"Ah yes, Sensei, I had something to show you, I've been working on this for a week or something like that, I think it is ready, though it is still kinda hard for me to show and I think it would be better for me to avoid trying this on anyone else but you...." the kid said with a hand behind his head.

"Bah..alright, we can spar, I'll allow you to try this thing of yours, I'm quite curious,"
"That won't be necessary Sensei, you don't need to allow me or anything, don't hold back, it only works as a counter of sorts, I mean, to be honest, I only know how to use it as a counter...ahaha..." the kid said while nervously laughing.
After pondering for a minute, the man stepped into the ring and took his stance, his usually free demeanor instantly disappeared, the pressure slowly and quietly increased, the air felt heavier, moving felt as if one was moving through knee-deep mud.
"Are you ready boy?"
Even though the man was the one who asked the question, he knew he wouldn't get an answer yet, and by the looks of it, his guess was spot on, the boy had his eyes closed, every time he wanted to try something new, he would close his eyes to concentrate. Considering, it was to satisfy his curiosity, the man held back from interrupting the boy but soon almost an entire minute passed.
2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 whole minutes had passed and the boy hadn't moved an inch, if someone was to see him they would think he was dead but his breathing was perfectly stable, he didn't waver for a single second, unfortunately, the man was losing his patience and wanted to teach his student what it meant to let one's guard down.
"That's it here I come!" He roared and dashed forward, closing the distance in a single stride, he threw a single punch with his left hand, he didn't want to risk attacking too much as that would leave him too open. The man awaited the boy's counter and just as the punch reached in, the boy opened his eyes, instantly eliminating the pressure the man omitted, the boy casually slapped away the punch with his right hand.

The man's left hand felt a stinging pain as it was whacked away but before he could react again, the boy then chopped at the man's left shoulder.
'What the f*ck kinda counter is this?' the man thought as the initial damage of the chop didn't feel like much but after a second he felt the weight of the world on his left shoulder, instantly bringing the man to his knees, fortunately, the boy did something else that dissipated the pain the man felt, however, that itself was more than enough to knock down the man. Even though he felt like screaming, it felt like he had lost all the energy in his body.
As the man held on to his shoulder, he looked up from the ground to see the boy rush to his side, he could hear the kid call out to him, after struggling to muster up all the energy left in his body, a single word was heard before he passed out,
"Luke.."
"Luke!"
"Luuuuuke!!"
"Huh? where..wah who?"
"Jeez, stop dreaming man, we're like a minute away from your place...." Nate said as he pointed to a large house that was at least 300 meters away from them.
"Oh...I was asleep...sheesh.." Luke said as he rubbed his eyes.
