Unlucky?Player Chapter 90

"Calm down now, JC, I understand how you feel but remember we're at a public event and nobody here knows who you are, thanks to that awkward mask of yours," K said as he pulled JC back to his seat.
While the audience looked towards JC and K, they immediately shifted their attention back to the stage where Luke knocked out someone with one punch, of course, once again the audience wasn't aware of the entire situation, they didn't know that Luke couldn't box, in fact, they didn't even know that Luke could do anything other than dodge.
"Medics!"
"Don't wor-, actually you know what, check out his liver region, I didn't kill him or wound him fatally, just knocked him out," Luke said as he lifted the unconscious Trey and took him towards the medics.
"Winner...Luke stone.." The host said.
"Next fight, participants, come up to the stage.."
The next fight had Bryce as one of the participants, after looking at Luke's fight, the crowd didn't expect too much from this fight. Bryce was one of the participants who was expected to win, along with Trey Jefferson.
Within the first ten seconds of the match, the winner was determined, Bryce was playing with his opponent, he made sure he followed the rules but he definitely painted the stage red, the crowd was aware of the fact that he didn't break any rules, he was using his opponent as a punching bag, of course, he made sure not to break any bones or hurt any vital organs beyond repair. Naturally, it wasn't as if his opponent had blood dripping from every pore but it wasn't a pleasant scene, especially considering the audience, it was a university event, not an actual fight. While the judges did try and intervene, Bryce's opponent stopped them, as stupid as his choice was it looked like he had something to fight for and protect, he couldn't give up just like that.

Bryce's opponent, fell backwards, once again causing the medics to rush, he was completely knocked out, though his condition wasn't severe, a little bit more and he would have to be taken to the hospital.
"Winner....Bryce Daniels...."
"Finals! Bryce Daniels vs Luke Stone! A 5-minute break will be give-"
"No need let's fight now," Bryce said as he pointed to Luke,
"Alright, sure, just don't give the excuse that you were tired or something," Luke said as he got up and walked towards the stage.
While the stadium was big, it wasn't so huge that the audience couldn't hear participants talk, unless they whispered or spoke in a really low tone, the crowd could hear what was said.
"Hah, again with your stupid confidence, I admit you surprised me but at the same time I'm glad you did, I can personally maul you," Bryce said as he brought his fist to his palm.
"Oh shiver me timbers, whatever man, let's just get on with it,"
"Do you really think you can beat me? I'm K Johnson's student, who the f*ck are you?" Bryce said as he crossed his arms.
"Oh? is that the case?" Luke asked, except this time he didn't look at Bryce, instead he looked towards the audience, where K was seated. To the others, it looked like Luke was surprised and looked at K but only a few people knew the truth, he was directly asking K if he was responsible for training such a clown.
Noticing Luke's gaze, K slightly hid his face, he felt embarrassed after what Bryce said but at the same time he couldn't entirely deny it, he was responsible for his students, at least to some extent and Bryce's actions were definitely something that should be corrected.
"Don't worry, I'll do your work," Luke said once again looking at K.

"Daring brat isn't he.." JC said.
"Uh-oh..." K let out as he realized what Luke was getting at.
"What's wrong?" JC asked, he didn't fully understand Luke, at least not like Nate or K.
"You wanted to see what he's capable of right? maybe, just maybe you'll get what you asked for..." K said.
JC could feel his heart rate increase exponentially, he would get to see more of this monstrosity, just him copying someone shocked him so much and that wasn't even much according to K, just how much more can Luke do, thinking about it made JC's heart race.
"The Final match of the event: Bryce Daniels vs Luke Stone! Begin!"
Luke didn't waste any time, he made the first move, he closed in with blinding speed, surprising everyone including Bryce, he stopped just before he could crash into Bryce, his sudden appearance made Bryce slightly back away but before he could even do that, Luke casually flicked him on the forehead and disappeared once again. At least to Bryce, it looked like he disappeared, in reality, Luke just took advantage of his flick and crouched down and moved behind Bryce.
He held Bryce's collar and dragged him from the back, naturally, Bryce didn't fully understand what was happening and couldn't properly react. Luke casually took Bryce to the edge of the stage and threw him out but just before Bryce could touch the ground, Luke kicked him into the center of the stage. With the air almost completely knocked out of him, Bryce was left gasping for air, unfortunately, that wasn't the end, he was still processing the events that were taking place.
"Cruel..he took that Bryce to the edge of the stage and kicked him towards the centre, while the audience may not fully understand what he was trying to do, anyone with a little bit of experience would understand that he was trying to say that everything was controlled by him, whether it was Bryce's loss by disqualification or by knockout or anything at all...it's all up to Luke..." JC muttered as he witnessed the one-sided fight.
While it wasn't brutal, it was definitely sad and embarrassing, they watched as Luke just pushed around and tripped Bryce, even if Bryce was about to fall off the stage, he would 'rescue' him by kicking him back onto the stage. Luke's other opponents were thankful they got disqualified, looking at how he treated Bryce, they were more than thankful that it wasn't them.
"AAAARRGHHH, F*CKING HELL, I'M GONNA KILL YOU, YA BASTARD," Bryce screamed while he rushed towards Luke, he fully forgot all of his techniques and adopted a wild and unruly stance.
"Shut it," Luke said as he sidestepped and slapped the back of Bryce's head causing him to fall straight to the floor. "You? trained by the old man? gimme a f*ckin break..." Luke said with his hand to his forehead.
"It's worse than I thought....." K said as he looked at both his 'students' on the stage.
"K...you told me I'll get to see something...this is literally the same as watching someone punch a bag...no it's worse, it's the same as someone kicking around a football...."
"JC...I don't know what to tell you...if you want to see something, probably it would take both of us to go down there and fight him ourselves, haah," K said not realizing what he had just done.
"That's a wonderful idea," JC said as he got up and began walking towards the stage.

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun. Saga of the Jewels VOLUME ONE COMPLETE
Prefer to listen to rather than read Saga of the Jewels? I'm also releasing it as a free audibook serial podcast on iTunes here! Epic YA JRPG-influenced GameLit progression ensemble-cast steampunk romance fantasy! When Ryn’s hometown is destroyed, will he be able to gather together the twelve Primeval Jewels in order to defeat the evil Emperor and save the world of Mid? A fan novelization of an amazing Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist, that currently releases at least one chapter a month. Epic in that this will be very long. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint!” (-Kandaj) YA in that this should be enjoyable to~13-year-olds and upwards. Some gore, some swearing, some sex, but nothing more than PG-13. JRPG-influenced / GameLit in that it uses lots of JRPG tropes, particularly from Final Fantasy. I’ve read a lot of fan Final Fantasy novelisations and you can basically think of this as a fan novelisation of its own Final Fantasy game that doesn’t actually exist as a game... Progression in that the characters level up over time (though not with visible litrpg stat boxes). They grow in ability through training and experience, gain new skills, individually and as a party (think Chrono Trigger) and spend time discussing and stratgeising about how to defeat their opponents. Main protagonist from book three would definitely be able to defeat himself from book one! Ensemble-cast because we've got quite the roster of misfits here. The first volume is all from the main protagonist's POV, but it starts dancing between his and different POVs thereafter. Steampunk in that we’ve also got airships, steam trains, pistols and ambiguous ‘amber bars’ that function a bit like artificial lights… Romance in that there is lots of shipping here, a few love triangles, and you may be kept guessing as to who will actually end up together... Fantasy in that we’re in a vaguely pre-modern setting. We’ve got swords, magic, dragons, dungeons, monsters, all that good stuff. * "This story captures that Final Fantasy quality perfectly. Kiddy but also grim. The characters are great... Severely underrated and needs more favorites/follows. I look forward to seeing how this story will unfold." -Gilgamesh9999 "Starting at the end and jumping backwards is not a writing style seen every day. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first, but you've executed a fairly crazy idea very skillfully so far. Overall, a strong start to what could be a very strong story." -RandomFF.netUser "You definitely have my interest piqued. It'll be interesting to see where the story goes... It definitely has an 'old school Final Fantasy' type feel to it, which I appreciate...Good job! I am glad you are going into more details about the story you laid out in the prologue...of course the big burning question is 'You know they lose in the the first chapter, so how will they end up winning?' That of course, is the story you're writing...so we'll see how it goes! #Following." -KyleQuicksilver (quotes are from reviews on other sites) * If you enjoy it, don’t forget to boost Saga of the Jewels on topwebfiction.com!
