Unlucky?Player Chapter 58

"Uh was that meant to happen?" Night asked as he began sweating profusely.
He looked at the expansive land ahead of him, it was unusually sprawling with blood-thirsty demons.
[Congratulations player Night for being the first player to enter the Nether Region of Tartarus, would you like to hide your name during World Announcement?]

A few hours before:
Night currently lay on the snow to recover from his wounds and hopefully gather enough energy to go on, with the help of frost touch he managed to gain back his lost health faster than usual.
"Ah, Noctis I absolutely love you, I'll never leave you behind, I promise!"
After gathering enough energy to go on, the trio decided to venture deeper into the words, hoping they would be able to learn more about the demon's unusual appearance.
"My Lord" Shade said in a cautious tone, stopping everyone in their tracks.
"They're barely in my aura's field but I can feel them slightly.... multiple demons...four? no... ten? more?"
"Roughly 100 in total, My Lord"
"One hundred huh......." Night said with a slightly concerned look.
"What do you think? how do we go about this?"
"My Lord, they appear to be only low ranking demons, in fact, most of them are the lowest rank while a handful are a rank higher than them. It seems as if they're converging... perhaps they're preparing for something? It shouldn't be an issue if we were to stay here and watch, very soon the Sun will fall and the Moon shall shine along with us,"
Shade continued to tell Night all the information he had regarding the demons:
The demons...generally speaking, they were a vicious race that we're focused on slaughter and vile activities as such, they were feared and singled out due to their infamy.

However, they were far from illiterate or unruly, the lower-ranked demons were certainly unruly but even that persisted only in the lower ranks.
Demons had a clear system, the nobles had higher authority but since the demon Generals had more power, they could exercise free will.
In terms of nobility and their ranking:
----> Demon Baron
----> Demon Viscount
----> Demon Earl
----> Demon Marquess
----> Demon Low Duke
----> Demon Grand Duke
----> Demon King/ Demon Supreme
Military rank:
----> Royal General
----> General
----> Officers
----> Soldiers(Low, Mid, High-rank)
The two fields were very different from each other, one was the nobility that was meant to rule over the lands, the other, being the administration or military that focused on the protection of the lands and the force of the empire.
The Demon Supreme was the strongest in terms of influence as well as strength, the Royal General being the next in line, in terms of strength, the Grand Dukes were only slightly below the Royal General but when it came to authority they naturally had more.
The Royal General answers to the Demon Supreme only, regardless of how much the Grand Dukes 'try to exercise their power' it is within his/her right to refuse to take orders from anyone other than the Demon Supreme.
"Interesting...so their system is almost like the system humans use.. so what rank are the ones here?"
"They would mostly be middle-ranked soldiers with a few High ranked soldiers, My Lord, it is also very possible that there is an officer with them, maybe even a Baron?"
"Hmm that complicates things, by the looks of it, I can probably only handle 2 High ranked demons.....and we cant include Noctis, he's still low on Mana...There are currently 10 high-ranked soldiers... damn it... do we have no choice but to wait? just why are they so damn strong"

"My Lord, it looks like they're moving again,"
But before they could even react, Noctis suddenly felt energy similar to its own and woke up from its rest, naturally sensing the restlessness that Noctis felt, Night was alerted.
"Hey, hey, calm down, what's wrong buddy?"
After conversing with Noctis, Night looked at Shade with a confused expression,
"He says he wants us to go running to the middle of the horde.....apparently there's something that feels familiar and its also probably the reason the demons are here," after a slight pause Night continued "we can do that with the help of my domain, it shouldn't be any issue but Shade if there's a dangerous situation, I want you to take the little one here and run away, Death doesn't impact me too much..."
"My Lord...." Shade said while looking down.
"I shall fulfill every wish of yours" he knelt down with a hand over his heart.
"Well, let's hope Noctis isn't wrong... haah... get ready,"
After walking forward a little more to reduce the distance, Night unleashed his domain and the trio rushed forward. He could maintain the domain for around 7 seconds which was more than enough. The demons were confused as to why the night suddenly descended upon them, not knowing what happened some of them fell to their butts.
"Almost there!" Night whispered to Noctis and Shade.
They were all moving at a speed where they couldn't stop themselves easily, so by the time Night realized what Noctis was talking about it was too late,
"Wai-"
*𝘡𝘈𝘗*
"...."
"...."
The three of them went straight into the portal, Night tried to warn them but unfortunately, he was a second too late. They stood there, in an unknown region with a large number of demons sprawling everywhere.
Thankfully they were teleported to a place where they couldn't be spotted immediately, the trio hid behind a rock panting, after the sudden change of environment. What was going to happen now? How were they supposed to escape?
"Uh was that meant to happen?" Night asked as he began sweating profusely.

Meanwhile, deep inside Tartarus, a pair of eyes immediately lit up, the woman immediately looked towards the portal that Night and the others came through, it was as if she could see through the walls. Tears began to form the second she looked towards them, regardless of the distance and the obstacles, she could still feel something that felt familiar to her.
"Mother?....."
