Unlucky?Player Chapter 21

"Oy, kid we reach the Forest of Silence in a bit, so prepare yourself mentally, I'll explain why it's called the Forest of Silence and what not to do, we'll most likely spend a few days in there."
"Alright, but master why do I need to prepare myself mentally?" Night asked.
"Brat, let me finish talking, sheesh, kids these days" Noel sighed.
He continued to explain as to why the forest was called the Forest of Silence:
The mobs in this region are considerably weaker, however, they're harder to kill because of the environment, the mobs found here specialize in assassinations and attack in packs. These mobs lack eyesight but that was more than compensated by their hearing, however, this wasn't the main reason the forest was given its name. Whispers from the dead mess with the individual's mentality, requiring them to stay quiet and not respond to those whispers in any way.
Curious after last time's encounter Night asked if the Forest had any Guardian like before.
"Well, yes this region's Guardian is considered to be the weaker than the other monster-like guardians though, however that is only considering its individual strength. But we don't need to worry about it, we can't be that unlucky to run into two Guardians back-to-back right? hahaha" Noel said as he instructed Night to fight without restrictions.
"Hahaha, y-y-yeah totally..." Night said before looking away suspiciously and whistling. Unfortunately, Noel didn't seem to catch Night's remark.
"Alright we're entering the forest now, we'll need to camp as well so let's not waste too much time."
Once they entered the forest, they could immediately hear whispers, other than the very low whispers the entire forest was silent, there was no sound of wind or birds or anything at all. Unlike the tropical zone of Verdin, here the trees were not as thick but they were extremely tall and had thick branches, it was almost as if each branch was a tree. The ground was perfect for running, it wasn't damp or marshy but it was solid ground, the trees themselves weren't of any known species but the entire Forest setting itself resembled a Pine forest, however, the trees were multiple times thicker than a normal Pine tree.

After walking for about 10 minutes, both Night and Noel could hear water, meaning there's most likely a stream somewhere nearby.
It's common knowledge that people camp near water bodies as it's much more convenient, however, since it's common knowledge even the mobs would know that, unfortunately, neither of them realized that it was a trap and headed towards the direction of the stream.
As soon as they found the stream, multiple enemies jumped towards Night, hoping to kill him off in one blow, they seemed to sense Noel's power and settled for just Night's death. If Night was just a random player then he probably would've been killed right there but he was different from the rest, one of the plus points of always relying on instincts is making quick choices and because of this Night barely managed to dodge the attacks by rolling sideways, immediately he used inspect on the mobs.
Shadows of the night.
Level 50
Grade: Field
Hp:1000
Skills:
Detect(passive): Eyesight is partially sacrificed for enhanced hearing.
StraightStab: A quick stab that does extremely high damage. 1% chance of instantly killing the enemy as long as they are anywhere near 5 levels of the user.
Deals 100% of PhyDmg, if unnoticed by the target then damage increases to 400% of PhyDmg.
Upon seeing that there were 5 shadows in front of him, Night frowned, however, this was only due to the fact that he felt 'weird' when he saw the word 'Night' at the end of their names.
Compared to other players Night's character was very weak, not only did he not have any proper skills but his stats were very low but the reason Night was able to kill monsters constantly was due to his own talent in combat.
Many of the rankers could deal enough damage to one-shot most minor mobs like ungraded or field-grade mobs, however, at the same time, they take a lot of damage as well, this was why Night leveled up faster, of course, the curse was the biggest reason but Night still would've been at the top of the table even without the curse.

Quickly, Night charged the nearest mobs, these mobs were quick but unfortunately, they weren't fast enough, and to make it worse they were fragile mobs. It took him a few minutes but he managed to kill all 5 mobs before they got away and half his XP bar was filled.
Night got to only 50% of his bar after killing 5 field-graded mobs of level 50.
However, what Night failed to notice but Noel caught was the fact that Night's aura now had a bit of black mixed into the usual blue and red, it was a very tiny speck of black. At first, Noel thought he was mistaken but soon when he saw Night's aura again, he could feel the resonance.
While Night was busy killing the mobs, Noel was trying to think of who the woman inside Night could be and why did he feel that way?
