Unlucky?Player Chapter 9

After attaining level 30, Night was now eligible for class-specific quests and training. He found himself standing outside a building that looked like it would break any second, as soon as he entered he heard a sound.
*𝘚𝘙𝘙𝘐𝘕𝘒*
A dagger gently prodded his skin, a single step and it would pierce him. He looked beside him and in the dark, he saw a young man, probably in his early 20's.
"Who sent you?" the man questioned in a secretive tone.
"Woah hey, nobody sent me I belong to the grandmaster class." Night said while raising his hand to surrender.
"Well, why didn't you say so, wassup man, lemme show you around" he put his arm around Night and guided him in.
It was the size of a tennis court, with training dummies in the middle and equipment surrounding the central area. It was almost completely worn down and had a room for meditation and another room with a stone slab that had sword marks on it.
The entire building was pretty serene and was isolated from the rest of the kingdom. Unlike the other classes, the Grandmaster class wasn't very famous and anyone who chose the Grandmaster class wasn't level 30 yet, which explained why Night was the only one here.
The building did have a path that led to a field in the back that was most likely used to practice.
"Master has gone to the region of Tokihiko, so for the time being it's only the two of us, However, I'll beat you into shape by the time master's back. Oh and good job leveling up that fast, it was quite baffling to see someone here, mostly because people usually choose other grandmaster dojos over this one"
There were dojos or training centers for all the classes in all the major parts of every Kingdom, there were a total of 4 Grandmaster dojos, and after some research, Night chose the one that would most likely not have too many people, the other dojos had many NPCs and better facilities as well, so he figured it would be loaded with players soon.

"Well anyway I'm your senior, you can call me Blade, what do I call you? "
"Night" he replied.
"Alright, Night we can start as soon as you warm up."
After that Blade began to teach Night the basics of being a GrandMaster.
Weapon Aura essentially is an added layer of energy onto the Grandmaster's Majestic arts blue energy and without learning weapon aura or having a 100% understanding of it, one cannot be called a proper or a skilled GrandMaster. A red aura covering both the weapon as well as its user. It is a stepping stone to many of the skills a GrandMaster can use.
They soon commenced their training where Blade showed him how to use the weapon aura. Every energy slice had a defined red line running across the border and confining the blue energy inside which seemed to cut through any material.
"You can start off by trying to cut one of these training dummies and after that, we proceed to the giant stone. Our master doesn't take slacking off well, if he notices that you haven't progressed to the giant stone within 2 months he might oust you" said Blade.
"Cutting the dummies can't be that hard right? and who even is our master?"
"If you manage to slice even a single dummy by this month-end, I'll personally bow down to you and pledge to be your slave. and as for our master, you'll see once he's here."
Confused by Blade's confidence Night took his stance and concentrated his energy, he focused his inner energy and channeled it into the blade, and struck the dummy with all his might.

The dummy went flying back, completely unscathed. Blood could be seen dripping from Night's hand as a result of his sword shattering.

"You're quite strong, aren't you? Managing to push it back that far. Well anyway, now that you've experienced how strong these toys are you can start working towards cutting through them. and until you get a new sword, you can use the ones we have at the dojo"

Nate was a level 20 Mage whose username was "NotYourTypicalMage". Upon hearing how Luke eradicated an entire Goblin camp on his own, Nate wanted to see how he would fare against such an obstacle. Unfortunately, that isn't something a low-level mage could accomplish alone, so he decided to get some help from a friend of his who was a tank.
The issue didn't lie with his damage output, rather it was the drawback of having a large cooldown and the fact that mages were not known for being quick.
Most of his stat points went straight into INT and the rest into VIT and a little into luck:
VIT:50 Hp: 2500 Def:100
DEX:25 Spd: 112.5 Eva: 0.125%
STR:25 PhyDmg:125
INT:150 MagDmg: 750 MP:15000
Unlike Luke, every other player receives 10 stat points upon leveling up.
If only damage was taken into consideration, Nate could easily wipe out the encampment alone. However, most of his skills had a cooldown of 10 seconds. Additionally, taking damage while casting would cancel the spell, to compensate for his liability, he took the assistance of his childhood friend.
"Erza, you ready?" he asked.
"Sure, let's go" she replied.
She jumped right out with a daring look on her face and used her skill, 'taunt', which grabbed the attention of all the enemies around and made her the target for 15 seconds, as long as they were only 10 levels above her. Even the Elite Goblin now joined the smaller mobs to attack her.
Taking advantage of this, Nate began chanting which was a requirement for some of the higher damage spells and also one of the reasons low-level mages found it difficult to level up alone.
After he was done chanting he cast his spell,' FireStorm', which dealt 200% of his MagDmg but took 3000Mp to use.
-1500.
Within the first 10 seconds, they managed to wipe out the entire base alone. Both of them leveled up twice, making them level 22. However, unlike Luke, they received drops.
[Goblin leader's Broadsword]
[Goblins club x3]
[Goblins blood x10]
Most mages focused on using only one of four elements, simple due to the fact that it's more efficient and deals more damage as the mastery increases quicker because they don't need to practice other elements. However, Nate couldn't make up his mind and decided to level up all elements at once, sacrificing damage for utility.
It didn't bother him that other mages would deal more damage than he would, for some reason he was positive that he would overtake all the other mages soon. He looked up and smiled as he thought
'I'm gonna catch up to you Luke, soon we'll fight together.'

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.
