CHAPTER 189
Immediately Xander and his friends entered, Arctic looked up and his eyes locked with Xander's.
None of the men said anything but waited for Xander to speak since he was the Dragon Lord.
"You are the Unkillable Killer right?"
"Yes." Arctic did not bother denying anything. At this point he had nothing to lose, Jade and his daughter were both alive. He cherished them so much but they would be better off without him.
He was still sorry for what he had done and was ready to atone for his sins.
"Where is Jade?" Arctic asked.
"She's safe." That was the only answer Xander was willing to give to him. He was more concerned about something else. "One question though, how is it possible that she was captured and you were too?"
Arctic did not answer. He felt Jade might have told him about did not feel like speaking with him directly and sent Xander yet.
"How come she was waiting for an imaginary friend that never showed up?" Xander questioned again and still, the response was the same. Nothing.
"You were supposed to always protect her but why was she kidnapped or wasn't that your duty?" Xander growled at him.
"Fine, you do not want to answer, huh? Then answer this one. Why was it that when I checked her phone, the last person she made a call to other than I was you? You are Arctic right?"
His eyes dimmed a fraction and his emotions showed. His pain reflected through his eyes and Xander saw it. He did not need to speak, his silence confirmed what Xander wanted to know.
"I want to speak with her. I would only speak to her."
"You think you still have the right to do so, after setting her up?" Arctic's eyes widened.
"How did you know?"
"You think I am stupid huh? She mentioned your name in her sleep. It was like she was haunted by it and from the way I see it, I know why. How dare you do that to your master?"
"And what would you know about anything?" Arctic yelled, getting up from where he sat down on the bed. "You are on to talk when you betrayed her yourself."
"Yes I have accepted my fate already. If only I had known better all of these things would not be happening."

By now they were already shoyuting that even Asia could hear the deep voices of her father and Xander.
"Yes, you made your decision and I made mine. These are the consequences of our actions but yours, you took everything from her."
"I know. I did the most despicable thing but can you blame me when have a race to protect? What was your own sorry excuse for what you had done. She trusted you with her life and that was why she never questioned your actions of decisions and went with it and they you betrayed her. You better have a good reason f0or your actions, Arctic."
"He did have one. HNe had a daughter to protect. Hisw sorryh excuse was the life of his daughter." Everyone turned around that instant to see who had spoken only for them to come face to face with Asia.
"You." Xander stared at her, he tried to recall about her but after a deep thought he figured it out.
"My name is Asia, daughter of Arctic the unkillable killer and personal bodyguard to Jade Frost."
Instantly Arctic lowered his head at that minute. He felt shame like never before. As an assassin, he was tois nhed away all emotions but after losing Asia, he thyoughyt he had and heaqrihng she was alive, mitb was like she came back from the dead.
"You are her bodyguard, the open who was wshot and fell of the bridge?" Jay asked, bemused.
"Yes, unfortunately, in a bid to find Jade, those idiots didn't let me die in peace and found me, only to save me and bring me to this hell of torture while searching for my father and my master."
None of them said anything for a while. They all calmed down and waited for what was next.
They could jot entirely blame Arctic giving his reasons but even at that, Xander was still angry.
"I know what I did wasn't right. I never should have traded Jade for my daugher but honestly, I had planned things in such a way that once I leave with Asia, we can attack and rescue Jade while also taking Zale out. It was going to be killing two birds with one stone."
"And how did that work out for you?" Xander bellowed. You of all people should know never to trust Zale Anders. In as much as he looks stupid, he really isn't. He played you well, allowing you and Jade to submit yourselves to him."

"I hoped that things would go well."
"Because for the first time you did not think like man assassin but as a father. Emotions with logic is a problem."
"Yes, even as much as that is true, logic without emotion is a disaster."
"Did it ever occur to you that what if you left and he actually killed her before you could attack? Or during your attack they see they are cornered and kill her? None of it ever occurwd to you."
"What are you so quick at acquisitioning blames?"
"Because, I wished I had reasoned a bit with my emotions then her picture would have made more sense and I wouldn't have given the go ahead buy then I never knew her. You knew her and with your betrayer, you just... Well we all plunger her into eternal mysery. I hope she can forgive is and come out of this."
"I know everything is so terrible right now but honestly, I expected better father. You of all people should know that I would give up my life anytime and any day for Jade. I did once and I would do it again."
"Asia," Arctic's voice broke that instant. "I am so sorry. I never expected things to happen this way. Please forgive me. Forgive the wrong doings of your father."
"I am sorry but I can only forgive you when Jade does. Pray that she is alright, because if anything happens to her, then I cannot guarantee my heart being able to do so."
"Jade is fine. She will be at least. She just need some time of rest and then she would..." Xander paused in his speech as his felt his heart beat differently within him.
Everyone present were equally shocked by what was happening. They did not understand what had made him shocked like that all they knew was that he was wide eyed and un blinking as he stared into nothing in particular.
Immediately after he felt the change in his heartbeat, Xander felt something else. It was another heart was beating inside of him.
He peered deep within him and waited then he saw a long chord, like a rope leading to God knows where.
Xander tried to grab it in his mind and found that his thoughts was going through it.
Everything happened so fast and so differently that it took him time to finally process what was going on.
The next thing he knew he could feel the heart beat again and with it came something else.
Just then while he was still busy concentrating, he heard a phone ring and although he did kor bother to look at whose phone it was, he could still hear them.
Jay touched his pockets the moment the phone began to ring and brought it out only to see it was Macy.
Althrough, he had failed to call her on the progress as his phone was switched off when they went for the operation to find Jade.
So far the only thing Macy knew was that her friend was in danger and they had gone to find and save her.
That was it. It has been hours since she last heard from him, leaving her in a state of panic and fear.
Anytime she tried his line it was the sanetjing, not going through but now he remembered to put on his phone but before he could call her, Xander came out and since then...
"Hello, Macy."
"Macy?" Asia asked. She knew Jade had a close friend called Macy and hearing her name from Jay, she could almost guess they were one and the same person.
"Yeah. Hey calm down babe. She is okay. We have found her and rescued her. She is sleeping now."
"Why did you not call me?" Macy yelled through the phone.
"Calm down dear. I would send someone to pick you up ASAP."
"Better."
Jay ended the call and then looked over to Asia. "I am guessing you know her?"
"Sure. Anyways that isn't the problem." As soon as she said that, she turned her head to face Xander who still remained spellbound where he stood.
The next second, he blinked and an unknown smile enveloped his face.
"She's awake."

His To Keep (COMPLETED)✔️
"What's your name?" He gently asked as he approached me, the rage and hatred that had once painted his features now gone."A-Avery," I stammered out, my body slightly shaking out of fear."Avery," he repeated, my name sounding beautiful as it slid past his lips. The moon trickled through the treetops and illuminated his goldy body as he continued stroking my cheek beneath the soft moonlight. I found myself closing my eyes and leaning into his strangely addicting touch and despite how badly I wanted to pull away, but body refused to and basked in the warm sparks that only my dangerous and feared mate could cause. ***The day Avery's parents decided to leave her and go rogue was the day her once happy heaven became a scorching hell with her demon of an Alpha relentlessly abusing her along with the pack members, being able to have her do whatever they want without any boundaries or limits.
