"Stay with me like this forever," Xander indirectly begged her.

He did not know why he was being all touchy and emotional today but since he was in the mood, he was going to utilize it.

In actual sense he knew that something wrong would soon happen and it was like his instincts begging him to say those words to her and have her with him forever, come rain, come sunshine.

"Am I not with you already, hmm?" Jade asked shining her teeth at him through her smile.

"Promise me."

Jade smiled but she did not say anything anymore. It was dawning on her the promises made. What if she did not survive this ordeal, what was he going to do and what was she going to do as well?

Would she leave him in this world with such a fate, cursed to love her only and never have her for all eternity?

She wasn't so sure if she wanted such a thing to happen to him and that was why when he said that she did not respond in the way he had expected her to.

"Baby please, promise to be like this with me forever. To always have our love renewed each day and not let it fade."

"Why are you acting like I am leaving you?"

"Then why aren't you responding to me? You are scaring me with your refusal to answer accordingly."

"Says who that must be my answer, naughty lover."

"Quinn, please." He made her sit up a bit and leaned forward so he could see her face clearly. "Please just promise me this once again. That is all I ask for you and I would wait till after our engagement to make love to you and not take you now."

"I…" Jade was tempted to respond and challenge him that he couldn't take her there and then but when she recalled that it was Xander she was talking to, the naughty CEO that can do anything he wanted, she paused and locked up.

"Fine. Make it the day we get married. That way it becomes even more special, don't you think?"

"As you wish love. I would not touch you to have sex with you till the day we get married. But I would definitely turn you on and make you crave for me and have more romance with you till that day to help keep my appetite in place."

"What a cheesy thing to say."

"That is why you love me, right?"

"One of the reasons why, actually," Jade corrected. "Alright, you have my word, Xander. I promise to stay with you like this forever."

"Thanks love as will I," Xander replied innocently.

'And if I die, my heart would stay with you forever but here is my one true promise to you, I would try and survive just for you and the love I have for you.' Jade made her promise and smiled at him.

"Great. Ahh…" He let out a deep breath he did not know he was holding in since. Hearing her affirm her promise to him, his heart calmed down and he was no longer scared.

He was going to take her word and hold on to it strongly.

She was his sunshine, his star, his darkness and his doom. In whichever way she appeared to him, he would accept it all in good faith.

He had sealed his life and heart to her and that was all that mattered to him the most. There was no going back and even if he had not yet known what awaited them in the future, he now understood to some extent what Jay and Sky felt.

Unlike the others, their own mate bond hadn't activated yet. So he could only wait but even if she wasn't and he never met his mate, he would always be her forever.

Feeling rest assured now, Xander rested his back on the chair once more and pulled her with him to relax. No sooner had he done that than his lips found their way to her hair, taking his time to inhale her scent while also kissing her scalp and going down to her neck where he plundered.
