CHAPTER 114

A charming smile appeared on Xander's lips, making his maids swoon but not the person it was for. She was not buying it.

They felt like fainting just by watching their boss smile so cutely at this lady who they all knew nothing about.

Some of them felt that she may perhaps be the daughter of a king or rich tycoon for her to be like this before him but even princesses and business tycoon's daughters still would swoon just to get a smile from Xander or have him look their way and now she got the opportunity but she is not affected.

It was either she did not know who he was or she was daft. Even if she did not know who he was, to them, seeing where he lived and how everyone was at his beck and call should have told her something about him.

Regardless, she acted no different, making them go with the latter, she was beautiful and probably daft.

"As you wish."

Xander wasted no time when he saw that his smile did nothing to her and got up, making his way towards her before helping her up and leading her to his seat.

He sat down and then pulled her gently to him, making her sit on his lap and brought her head down to look at him but she did not move.

"My love, look at me, please." Finally, she agreed and looked at him. "Thank you. I am sorry. I did not mean to control you. Everything I do, I do because I love you, okay? But I was wrong."

"How?"

"By making only you take the soup. It was insensitive of me. Let me make it up to you." With that being said, he brought his face closer to hers and kissed her gently on the lips.

Even though Jade did not part her tongue as she was feeling too shy about the maids being there, he was still able to get a nice kiss from her.

"That's my girl. I would go first."

Immediately the maids heard him say he would go first, they rushed to the table and brought the bowl of soup to his front before handing his cutlery.

He took his spoon and dipped it into the soup, before scooping a spoonful and taking it into his mouth. He took five more spoons and swallowed then the next spoonful of soup he put into his mouth, he did not swallow and turned to look at her.

Before Jade could figure out what was happening, his lips had already found hers and kissed her, sharing the soup with her.

Jade did not bother resisting and accepted all that he gave to her willingly.

He pulled back, took two spoonfuls into his mouth and repeated the process again and again.

By now Jade and the maids were already blushing at the public display of affection that their cheeks burned with immense joy.

"How is that? Is my love enjoying herself?" Xander asked her, blowing hot air into her ear to further tease her?

"Hmm…" Jade did not know what to say in that accord and just let him do his thing.

"Tell me," Xander whispered softly in her ears. "Am I doing a good job? I want to make you feel like the most important lady in the universe. So tell me, am I doing a good job?"

"Yes."

"I'm glad. Now drink up. Just a few more spoons and we are done, then I can let you eat as much food as you feel your tummy can contain. Okay?"

"Yes." Jade nodded her head in anticipation and readily took all the soup Xander gave to her, be it through his mouth or via the spoon.

If Macy was to see her friend now, she would not believe that the mighty Jade had been reduced to a pet just because of love.

It was a cute thing though and one that her parents would have been happy about.

All her father ever wanted was for her to love and marry someone who would cherish her as much as he did or even more than what he and his wife would do.

By the time the soup finished, he ordered that her food be brought and he began to feed her as well.

Jade ate till she could not eat anymore and proceeded to feed him as well. In fact, by the time they had finished eating, it was like the maids just finished watching a romantic movie. Never had they seen their master this happy or cheerful before.

It was like they were seeing a different Xander altogether. Now they confirmed in their minds and hearts that it wasn't that the lady was daft or something but simply because they were in love with each other.

Where there is love no need for control. There is understanding and care and passion. And that was what Jade wanted Xander to see or know. That was why she was behaving that way earlier on and not because she wanted to undermine his authority.

It was funny because she found her perfect match. Not all men would easily smile over that especially when they were disobeyed in front of their subordinates.

"Now, time to get you out of these clothes so you can have a proper bath."

As soon as he finished uttering those words, Jade instinctively shielded her breasts with her hands.

This action pf hers had caused her boyfriend to laugh out loud at her behaviour. What was she thinking? It was not like he was going to bathe her, one. Secondly, if he wanted to see her that way, it was not a hard thing.

He did not need to be coy just to achieve that. She was his after all.

"What are you covering? Or have you forgotten that you belong to me and no one else, so I have all the right to look at you when you are stark naked and even play with your body?"

'Now you are being a pervert." Jade stuck her tongue out and quickly stood up from his laps, hoping to escape him before anything happens.

"And where do you think your small legs is going to take you to/"

"Away from you."

'Tsk… You cannot leave me. We are one."

"In your head," Jade spat back then burst into a peal of sweet laughter.

Her voice sounded like a sweet melody being sung out loud to the hearing of others. Everyone enjoyed hearing her laugh as it had a way of satisfying a troubled soul and bringing calm to the hearts of those who heard it.

"And yours too," Xander replied when she had come down from her high.

"You hope." Ignoring what she said, he pulled her back down on his laps and pressed his lips to hers but she was faster and shifted her head away, allowing him to plant his kiss on her neck.

Not stopping, Xander stood up and carried her with him as they left the dining with his lips never leaving her throat.

By the time he got to the stairs, he looked back at his maids who looked like they would faint any minute from then.

A dangerous smile appeared on his lips. It was evident he knew they had been watching when they should have looked away. "Go and take a cold shower everyone."

No one questioned his order and immediately dashed to clear the table before taking some time to cool down.

At least their naughty master was kind enough to calm them down even after causing them so much trouble in their hearts.

"Now, where was I?"

Jade blushed but did not say anything to him and instead let him do all that he wanted. Within seconds he found his favourite spot on her neck and kissed her so passionately there, before moving up and claiming her lips for his.

'MINE!' His dragon roared from deep within, making it hard for Xander to stay sane again.

But being who he was, he managed to fight back and push his dragon to the back of his mind so he could concentrate on his tigress.

It took some time but Arctic finally returned to Star Cross City. Jade was more than happy to see him when they met.

Words could not describe how much that man meant to her and now that they have unlocked the last piece of message from her dad, nothing better than that to move forward and chase after her enemy.

At the very least, Arctic had successfully thrown off the Anders from her trail and managed to keep her safe for some time. That was how she was going to live till they can get their revenge back on the Anders.

Stopping at their meeting place, Jade entered the jewellery shop and made her way to where the shop keeper was.

"Hello," she said with a smile at the young man seated at the counter.
