CHAPTER 91

Macy could no longer answer. He already figured it out and at this point that her brain decided to go on vacation.

Seeing the dilemma her friend put herself into because of her, Jade decided to help her out.

"What she meant or what we meant was that I do not want a resort now or feel like moving out of the city of my vacation. I just want to be close by home, in case of any emergency."

"Okay, I understand."

"So any hotel would do."

"I know just the right hotel. It's like a resort setting but smaller. It is toward the outskirt of the city. You two would love it, trust me."

"Okay. Time to enjoy a weekend," Macy announced with a smile. In her heart, she was more than glad that Xander did not ask much questions again and that everything died down easily.

Although the truth wasn't told to him, they couldn't risk one of Ander's men seeing Jade, both in her disguised form or the real one.

"I'll let Sky, Jenny and Jay know about it. Excuse me."

The moment he left, Jade waited for some seconds first, to be sure he just would not return and walk in on them when she wanted to scold Macy.

"That was close, Macy. Control yourself sometimes."

"I know, I am sorry. I would be more careful next time."

"I hope so."

~WEEKEND VACATION~

The weekend had started well for all three of them and they were enjoying themselves. Jade became more open in her show of love for Xander but she still refused to give him her reply.

To her, it was fun teasing the almighty CEO and she loved the fact that he bothered himself with seeking her love so much.

On Saturday evening, they chose to have a bonfire with games and music. The games they played were in couple formation with Jay and Macy being the winner.

After a few hours of having fun, Xander took Jade for a stroll in the garden of the hotel. It was just as he earlier said that the place looked like a resort format and there were different things to do and see.

It really was something else.

"My Love."

"Hmm?" A small smile grazed her delicate lips as she looked up to her side, where he stood. "What is wrong?"

"Nothing," Xander said, shaking his head.

"Why nothing? Something definitely is up," Jade quickly countered.

"I love you." Her smile deepened and she lowered her head. The naughty CEO could be cheesy sometimes but she loved every bit of it, even his naughty self.

"I know." Xander's once smiling face dropped into a frown at her words.

"What?" Even though she knew the reason why he was like that, she just wasn't ready to give in.

Xander moved to her front and held her hands in his. "Even if I have to say it a million times, I would, Quinn. I would. I love you with all my heart. You are the first girl that makes this heart of mine beat rapidly. I wake up each day to the hope that I can see your smile. You're the thoughts that end my day and the ones that give me a reason to wake up each day."

"Xander. I…"

"No, please. Let me tell you just how much you mean to me and how scared I am of seeing you hurt."

"Right from the first day I laid my eyes on you when you fought and help that lady with the pickpocket incident, I knew you were the one I want to spend my life with."

"You saw that?" Jade was in shock. She had never imagined that he had laid eyes on her right from the very first day she stepped into this city. It was unbelievable.

I had seen you on different occasions before I met you at that party. It was like destiny was screaming something in my mind. I tried searching for you but I could not find you, Quinn. That was why when I met you, I was not ready to let go."

"You just couldn't resist kissing me, didn't you?"

"Yes I couldn't, just like I cannot resist doing so even now. Like I told you before, I would wait. Wait for as long as I need to for you to accept me and become mine, my tigress, my love, my baby, my heart. Nothing makes sense when you are not around and I always want you in my life."

"Xander, I am glad having you in my life too."

"For the first time in my life, I thought of wooing a woman, Quinn, you are something else. I hope I have skyrocketed from friendship status to admirer and preferential boyfriend stats?"

"Hahhaaa hhaa… You are funny you know that? Come on, Xan."

"I am serious, Quinn. Never being more serious than this in my life. I want to know your answer and please do give us a chance. Give me a chance to love you unconditionally."

"Okay." Xander arched his brows at her.

"Okay?" He just did not understand whatr she meant exactly.

"Okay, you do not have to wait any longer. True, I know I have denied it severally but I do love you, Xander and perhaps it is because I am scared of losing anyone I love but shun that, we all deserve a chance at love and yes, I love you. You have successfully graduated from friendship status to boyfriend status."

Oh, my gee!! Did Jade just… Faints!

His lips parted and his jaw dropped. Never would he have imagined that this would be the night when he hears her say those words out loud.

"Say it again." Jade giggled at his behaviour.

Oh well, it wouldn't hurt to say it again, would it?

"I said you have graduated from friendship…"

"No, not that," Xander interjected. "The part where you tell me the most important words.

"What part?" Jade feigned ignorance with her face full of smiles. It was always fun teasing him and she loved the pout on his face right at that moment.
