"Then why are you two undressed and on the same bed?"

"Do we reek of sex? Use your inner beast, Xander. He can tell if you do not believe me."

"Oh, I will."

As they communicated in their minds, Xander peered deep into Jay's eyes and his pupils dilated but luckily, only Jay could see it as it would have scared Macy.

And after what seemed to be like forever, he closed his eyes and by the time he opened them again, it had changed totally, reverting to their normal hue to blue.

"Xander, let him go." At her command, Xander pulled back and released Jay before stepping back to let Macy go to him.

He had checked and found out that for his friend's inner beasts to be remaining calm after having sex, rather it was hyperactive and angrier that he didn't get to enjoy the woman he wanted.

That was when Xander knew Jay had told the truth about sleeping with Macy.

Immediately he left Jay alone, Macy closed the gap between them and held Jay. Her hands moved up instinctively to the bloodstain on his lip but rather than wipe it off, she reached up and kissed him on the lips, licking his blood with it.

Xander and Jay's eyes instantly shot open at the familiar sound they heard but Macy didn't see it as she still had her eyes closed.

It was Jay's inner beast. He was happy at the feel of her lips on Jay's and the fact that she licked his blood, he could not help but let out a sharp groan inside.

This had surprised Xander who could hear the beast groan and be happy. Something was definitely wrong.

Nevertheless, he chose to brush it aside and asked the one question that plagued his mind.

"Why did you not do it, seeing as she wanted it?" He knew that on a normal day, Jay would have not hesitated if he had his eyes set on a girl and she wanted him as well, but seeing as he even went ahead to starve the beast within, Xander felt something must have triggered it.

"I needed to know I wasn't hurting her and that she would not regret whatever we did when she woke up. I needed to be sure that when I made love to her, she would be perfect in her right frame of mind and would want it as much as I did. I wasn't ready to risk her hating me, so I stopped it before it happened."

To say Xander was not surprised hearing this from Jay was a lie. He was but then again he was happy. It was a good thing that his heartbreak and womanizing did not take away his heart and principles.

"Great. I am sorry you had to see that, Macy."

"I understand."

Those were the only words she could think of uttering with her eyes still fixed on Jays. She was beginning to fall for him and with the event of yesternight and how he stopped her even though he was very much in need of sex, she felt drawn to him the more and had a new kind of respect for him.

"Someone would come over and change your door," Xander assured Jay as he turned around, ready to leave. "As a form of apology, you two can have the day off. I would inform Quinn, Macy."

"Thanks." Both of them chorused, watching him leave.

Meanwhile, as things were getting heated and Xander asked Jay why he didn't do it, that was when the head butler noticed that the maids were there and shooed them away, giving the couple and the master some privacy.

After they were sure he had gone, Macy looked back at Jay and apologized softly.

"I am sorry you had to go through all that because of me."

"Don't be. If there is anything, you should be happy that you have friends ready to protect your interest."

"Yeah, I guess I am surprised that's all. I never imagined the great Xander would butt in my private life."

"Think of it this way, babe. His girlfriend's best friend and his best friend are getting involved with each other."

"Wait, are they official now? Has Quinn said yes already?" Macy was shocked that Xander and Jade had become a thing and yt she dis not know.

"Technically no, but after that hickey Xander gladly plastered on her neck, I doubt that she would be able to resist coming to him."

"Get out," Macy joked and hit him on the arm. "Quinn isn't like that one bit. It would take Xander a longer time to break through her defences and I say so because I know he can. He is the only guy who has so much as stolen a kiss from Jade before. No guy has ever been able to do that."

"You are kidding me, right?" Jay could not believe his ears. This was so because the Jade he knew was bloody hot for her to even catch the yes of the almighty Xander.

He felt that a troop of guys would always go for her but hearing Macy now, he was having conflicting feelings.

"Jade refused any man from touching her. And there was none who could actually. I guess they just did not have the charisma and feel Xander has. You three are different in your own way from others guys. So when she told me someone stole her kiss and he didn't die... Whoo! I knew he had a chance."

"Well, he didn't die but Quinn almost left him dead."

Macy was dumbfounded this time around. Did Jade really almost kill Xander? Now this was definitely a jist she was willing to listen to.

"Well, promise never to spill the news, please."

"Why, what's there?"

"Because it happened to the great Xander and he would give me a punishment worse than hell."

"Oh really!" Macy raised her brows at Jay. It was not so hard to believe as Xander looked like he would kill him a while back.

"Oh trust me... Definitely."

"Fine, I promise."

"Thanks. Well, umm... " he cleared his throat first and raised both hands in front of them. "Promise not to laugh."

"I won't. Now hurry up and tell me. I am dying to know now."

"Fine. Quinn kneed him in the groin the day he first kissed her."

"WHAT!"

"Are you asking me? You are her friend so you should know better."

Macy kept quiet for some time. Jay was right. He had a point and now that her mind calmed down and she thought about it. This was Jade, the rich heiress of the Frost Mafia family. It was very typical of her.

Macy right now did not know why she was surprised about the news because the Jade she knew, if anyone so much as touch her shoulder or her father's prized hair, then she would beat them.

She guess why she found it strange was because the culprit this time was Xander. Like how did he just let her kneel him in his...

Damn, that should have been painful and Macy knew so because she did it to someone herself and the guy was in pain for days.

Back then he had said he loves her and she decided to give him a try after much pestering even though she did not love him only for her to find out he was a cheap stake who only wanted to have fun and dump her as the very next day after they smooched and almost went down to business, she caught him romancing a girl outside, whispering the exact same words he told her.

In anger she confronted him and when he could not even apologize but was defending himself that he never said they we're dating, Macy had enough and kneeled him hard on his dick so he could not fuck any girl for days.

She was determined then to knee him in the nether region every four days till he can no longer perform on any lady and lose his confidence.

But when she saw how he looked like who wanted to die, she decided against it.

Jade had of course praised her for her actions. So it shouldn't be news knowing her friend did that.

"Do not be too surprised though. I had pitied him because, he saved her thrice that day yet, sh rewarded him with that when he chose to claim his reward himself."

"What a naughty way of doing so. This is Quinn Wales we are talking about here."

"Anyways, enough about Quinn and Xander. Let the lovers find their way and let us find ours."

Macy smiled at how cheesy he was but she liked it and liked him more.

What became worst was how she felt after licking his blood. It felt like it intoxicated her and she wanted more. She had to caution herself lest she became more like a vampire and weird in Jay's eyes.
