Just like that, they accomplished the first and main goal of coming to the island and enjoyed the remainder of their stay there.

By the next week things went back to normal and Jade carried on with her business. Up till that moment she still had not gotten any news from Arctic and she was beginning to get worried and hoped that he was okay.

On a fateful day she sat down in her office, trying to get her head settled to work out some business deal and see the ones that were going to be favourable for her company and not.

Ever since Warner Corporation decided to do business with them, they had several other investors willing to do business as well.

It was funny though but within a short period of time, her company rose up and was now one of the leading businesswoman's venture in the city.

Before long her phone buzzed, peeling her attention from her work to the caller. She answered the call, placing on her ear.

"Yes?"

"Good day Boss."

"Hmm, any update?" Jade asked.

"Yes," the caller answered from the other end of the phone. "There has been some suspicious movement lately ma."

"What is the nature?" She asked flatly, being as professional as she could while maintaining her status as boss.

"A weird business dealing with a mini mafia gang."

"Anything special?" Jade asked. She needed to know the important things and not just business dealings.

This wasn't her city so she couldn't care if mafia gangs met except it was related to her.

"Yes boss. One of the Anders men is handling the deal."

"Perfect. Get me all the needed details, we are crashing that meeting."

"Right away boss." Jade cut the call and a small smile played on her face. Paret of her revenge plan was to make any dealings the Anders had to crash.

She decided to do this to destroy the growth of their mafia gang before she rose up to assume her rightful place as the mafia Lord of Moon Crest City.

"Things are beginning to fall into place. Oh where is Arctic, I should tell him. No wait. This isn't right. He would prevent me from raiding there myself. Besides, he is busy with another city, let me handle this myself."

With that thought in place, everything was ready to set sail.

All she needed now was a cool break and then her preparations would kick off. Speaking of cool break, she decided to go out with Macy and just go have an ice-cream and see a movie.

She tapped away on her phone to dail her friend's number when her phone began ringing.

'Hmm, this could do.' Jade thought and immediately answered the call.

"Hello love."

"Hi Xan. What's up?"

"Missing you." His voice did not hide what he felt and he poured everything out in those two words.

"I figured. Are you up for a movie?"

Hearing those words fall out of her mouth, Xander paused. Was she asking him out or what?

"Are you shocked? Don't be. I was about asking Macy to go watch a movie with me. I need the break right now."

"Funny, I was about asking you to do the same. Look at your window."

She did as he instructed and another smile formed on her face. "I'll be right down in two or three."

"No worries. I would be waiting." The call dropped and she immediately picked her purse and phone, then left her office after tidying up her work.

~MOON CREST CITY – ANDERS GROUP~

In the Anders group, Chairman Anders is seen seated on the cushion in his office with a mug of hot coffee while discussing with a business associate.

"Yes. As you can see we are making plans to take the business to the next level and become the number leading group in the city," Zain Anders explained to the man seated opposite of him.

"I love the way you think, Zain. It is one of the reasons why I chose to do business with you."

"What can I say? Think big, work towards it and achieve it. I see a world better and without much suffering in the future."

"Truly remarkable," the other man nodded his head at him. "Truly remarkable."

"Well, Mr Choice, thank you so much for the opportunity. With business men like you, I know Anders group would in no doubt be the top notch in the city and we would all rise together."

"Exactly. You would do great. I would readily support you if you decide to vie for Mafia Lord of Moon Crest City." Mr Choice stated while smiling.

To him he had found a trust worthy business partner and one he would forever be on top of the world with. If only he knew the sly and cunny nature of Anders.

"Oh really?"

"Yes," Mr Choice added again, shifting out of his seat and bringing both palms together. "You know, I see so much potential in you and now that Frost is no more and his daughter declared dead, who better than to rule the Mafia world."

"Well."

"Wait," Mr Choice cut in sharply. "I was never a fan of him stepping down and leaving the city in the hands of a young inexperienced girl to rule. It would have been better if he shifted it to another worthy mafia leader, like you."

"I am truly awed and honoured that I am considered worthy of such a position," Zain replied him, bringing his right hand to his lips as he spoke.

While Mr Choice was not paying attention and kept on talking, Zain's lips curved upwards, reflecting a knowing glorious smile on his lips.

He felt glad that he had successful captured the heart of one of Frost's supporters' heart.

'Yes, one after the other they would turn to me for help and then make me the Mafia Lord even without the seal.' Zain thought to himself as he listened to the praises from the other man.

Just then his phone began to ring, pulling him out of his trance and he turned towards where his phone laid on the chair by his side to see the caller.

'Zale? What is wrong now?' Pushing his worried thoughts aside, he picked his phone up and answered.

"Yes?"

Hearing him answer a call, Mr Choice finally stopped talking and relaxed his back into his chair as he waited for Zain to finish with his call.

"Father, there is good news," Zale announced from the other end of the phone.

"Really? Have you found her?"

"No father, but the CCTV footage caught sight of the unkillable killer coming out of one restaurant in Starland City."

"What!" Zain shifted out of his seat and his eyes widened at the news, shocking Mr Choice by his behaviour. "Have you been able to track him down?" Zain asked, ignoring hius guest.

"We are still on it. I just called to inform you about the latest update."

"No worries. It would be hard to even catch him. Nevertheless, keep a close eye on all restaurants. It is obvious that even he must eat. He is pretty skilled and careful, so be ten times smarter, understand?"

"Yes, father. Thank you."

The call went dead and Zain returned his attention to the still perplexed Mr Choice.

"Sorry about that if I startled you. It is just some business that needed immediate taking control of."

"Oh, I see you have a rogue soldier?" Mr Choice pried further for more, pretending like he was not interested and barely asking.

"Yes. You do not have to worry or bother though, we would catch him."

"I trust you on that. Anyways, I must be on my way right now. I have to get some things in place for our business deal," Mr Choice announced.

"Sure, by all means. I hate delays you know. I would not be happy if something actually caused a delay in our plans." Zain made sure he spelt it out for him as he was still suffering the effect of delay in his plans till now.

If not that Jade managed to escape and Arctic did quite a splendid job hiding her, he would have had the seal by now and be the sole ruler of the mafia world in their city and get all the respect given to the Lord.

Jade just had to be a smart ass and ruin all of his plans by staying alive. A part of him blamed the useless employers he had that dozens of men could not capture one girl but gave him a nice problem instead.

"Very well. I better be on my way. It was nice meeting you," Mr Choice smiled at him once more as he picked his phone and wallet from the table in front of him.

"My pleasure." Both men stood up and shook hands with each other before Zain saw him off to the door. "Yes, goodbye."

As soon as the doors closed, Zain's wanton smile returned. 'Yes, step by step, things are coming into play. Today is my lucky day.'
