CHAPTER 52
Without looking at who had just stepped in, Jade managed to speak with both hands still covering her face.
"Macy, not now. I just want to be alone. That guy… gosh!"
"But… You are mine. What is wrong with me?"
Jade who was ready to tell Macy off due to her anger had her words get stuck in her throat when she heard that familiar taunting voice.
Immediately her eyes shot open and her hands fell from her face to check if her ears were deceiving her.
Unfortunately for Jade, her ear never deceived her and just who she thought it was, really was there.
'How the hell did this jerk find my office?' Jade asked within herse;f.
It was as though Xander knew the thoughts that were running through her mind and smiled.
"It was quite easy locating you though."
What he meant by quite easy was making Sky keep Macy occupied while Jay went to sweet-talk one of the workers to know Jade's office.
Of course, she was known by her alias name and not her real name.
It was easy to get the answer from one of the female workers as All Jay had to do was smile a little at them and look at them through his lashes while adding one or two compliments and they immediately answered him, giving out the direction to Jade's office as the Assistant Manager.
That was her he got to know which was hers and came over to see her. Unlike Xander who was eager to see his ladybug or lady tigress, Jay was terrified to even face Macy.
He so much felt like punching Sky in the face for enjoying such conversations with Macy while he got to watch from the sideline because of his bloody mistake.

Jade stood up instantly from her seat and shot Xander a cold gaze. "Just what are you doing here?" Jade asked him sternly.
Her face was void of any pleasant emotion apart from anger.
"Why? You did not think you could run away from me so easily now, did you?"
"What do you want from me, Xander?"
She got to know his name due to their meeting as well as the names of his handsome and dashing friends.
"I love how you call my name," Xander complimented. That had only irked her the more.
For crying out, how did his brain function? How was it that he was the CEO of the Warner Corporation when he was behaving like a clingy jerk?
Jade could not understand or comprehend his actions at all.
"Xander, I am serious."
"And so I am, Quinn."
"Speak or I would have to excuse you. I have other better things to do."
"Like slouch on your seat and sleep?" He arched his brows at her questioningly.
"I was not sleeping. I was just tired."
"Of what?" Xander questioned.
"Tired of answering your annoying questions, that's why," Jade spat out.
"Are you sure? From the looks of things, it felt as though you love answering them." His lips moved upwards a bit as a side smile appeared on his lips.
"You wish. I never..." Jade paused and the next thing she said, "Wait, why am I still answering your questions? Urghh!" She shook her head and body in frustration.
"I told you, you loved them,"
"Just leave please." She interjected.
"No."
"Why? What s it you want? I am tired of your games."
"Same as always. You."
That was it. Jade knew she would faint and collapse if he kept on saying those words, you are mine.

"For the last time, Xander. I do not belong to anyone, you hear me?"
"Nope. That would make it easy, be mine. Be my girlfriend."
"Things do not work that way, Xander. Relationships do not happen in a day. You build it from friendship then you slowly work your way up to relationship."
"Cool, then we are already friends."
"Hell no. We are just business associates and nothing more."
"I bet your lips disagree with your words."
"Urggh, shut up."
"Are you sure?"
'Where did this... Oh my God, Macy. Help!' Her head was in shambles just with hos words alone. What was she going to do?
There was no way she could hide from him now. It was one thing when he had not known her house but he did and sent flowers.
Now that was a different case. He did not only know her house but where she worked and ow he knew she was not the assistant financial manager of her company but the CEO.
"Xander, please, I cannot be yours or whatever it is you are looking from me. The relationship between us now is just strictly business and I do not mix business with pleasure."
"Who said anything about pleasure and mixing?" Xander pretended to be shocked as though he did not know or understand what she was saying.
Apparently Jade was already tired of his games and he saw that through her actions.
Rather than replying his obvious annoying comments, Jade sighed and let herself fall unto her seat with no restrictions whatsoever.
A part of her had wished that if he sees her behaving unlady like, he would let her be.
Regrettably, that was the least thong on Xander's mind.
If there was anything, it only made her look interesting as the lady before him looked mysterious.
Only she looked normal and hid her CEO status. Only her, he found in the most unexpected place at the unexpected time.
Tsk... There was no way in hell he was leaving her alone. He was even more determined to get her.
"Okay. Let's have it this way." Jade still did not answer him. She was not ready for his qualms and wanted no part of it.
All she did was to look at him through her lashes and although her vexed expression was still on, she looked really sexy that moment.
Xander gulped hard before continuing his speech and said the last thing she thought he was capable of saying other than, 'Be Mine,' his very watch word.
"Can we be friends?"
