My Space-Time System Chapter 171

[It is protected by more arrays than you can imagine. So, you should forget about taking any part of it.] The system burst its bubbles.
"Back to the topic. How do we get out of here?" Castiel reminded them of the reason they were there.
They looked around and saw nothing in the room except for a podium right in front of the gigantic thranium crystal.
"Well, we might as well try that out." Blake walked up to the podium and tried injecting his mana into it, but nothing worked.
(AN: I know you might be wondering why the core is so chilled out even though intruders were standing right in front of it. Well the question will be answered soon.)
Not wasting more time, Blake went straight to the point and brought out the journal. Immediately it was activated, the podium lit up connecting the journal to the core.
The journal's holographic interface popped up showing a message.
[Do you want to open the stasis pod?]
"Nope…" Blake clicked no and began searching for a way to get them out of the facility, but that was when the message popped up again.
"What the fuck!" Blake clicked the 'no' option, but before he could navigate the holographic window, the message popped back again.
"Even on a different planet, pop up's are still fucking annoying." Blake stared at the holographic window with furrowed brows.
He didn't want to activate any stasis pod but seems like the core wasn't giving him an option.
"What do we do now?" Blake asked the system.
[I have a feeling that activating the pod will bring about something bad. For the fact that we are right in front of the core and nothing is happening, means something is wrong.] The system brought their attention to the fact.

[The stasis pod of a thing sounds suspicious, but it's not like we have much of an option. If you don't do it we will die, and if you don't we might still die.] The system said.
"Why do I have the feeling we are about to wake a millennium-old entity." Brian couldn't help but comment because they had seen many movies when the MC or a set of idiot teens set a horror loose.
"Here goes nothing." Blake took in a deep breath and clicked on the 'yes' option.
The first 2 minutes felt like half an hour, but soon a mark appeared on the floor beside the podium, and coming out of the ground was a glass showcase containing a greatsword.
The glass covering opened and right in front of Blake was a great sword that looked quite big for Blake to get a good grip on.
The greatsword had the inscriptions of two vicious wolves on each side of the blade. The inscription on the right side of the greatsword was darkish red in color, while that of the other half had a white glow.
The design of the hilt was the head of 2 wolves and at the bottom of the hilt was a white and darkish red crystal.
[Name: Ebony and Ivory.
Grade: Legendary tier (Peak Epic tier.)
Type: Greatsword (Dual sword.)]
"What the…" When Blake saw the sword's grade, his mind was unable to form thoughts.
"Are you shitting me?" Brian's mouth was wide open as he looked at the sword's info.
"Are you sure these things are still working?" Castiel rubbed his eyes but everything was still the same.
The trio was shocked to the core when their system showed them the grade of the greatsword.
They had all heard tales about legendary grade weapons and as apprentice forgemasters their dream was to get a glimpse of one, but right in front of them was the real deal.

[Abilities:
Disseverance
Cognitive empathy.
Overhaul.
Metamorphosis.
Canine fusion.]
(AN: I went through hell and back to come up with these names :(. Hope you guys like it.)
[Disseverance (Active skill): Ebony and Ivory split into dual blades.]
[Cognitive empathy (Active and passive): Once bonded with the owner, Ebony and Ivory will be able to feel the owner's emotions.
(Passive Skill): Once the owner is sensed to be in battle mode or danger, Ebony and Ivory would appear even if not called.
(Passive skill: Ivory): As the owner's mental faculty increases, so does the powers of Ivory.
(Active skill: Ebony): In and off battle, Ebony is able to feed off the negative emotions of the user and convert them to raw power.
(Active skill: Ivory): When the owner is sensed to be afflicted mentally or in a mental battle, Ivory can assist the owner.]
"Damn!" The trio couldn't help but exclaim as they read it skills.
[Overhaul: If the physical bodies of Ebony and Ivory get damaged, energy and emotions from the owner would be used to hasten their recovery.]
"That is if it can get damaged." They couldn't imagine what could possibly damage a legendary sword.
They tried to view the other abilities, but they were grey meaning currently unavailable.
"Any thoughts on what it means to be a legendary grade and peak epic grade. Also, why are these 2 skills unavailable?" Blake asked.
[The strength and skills of certain weapons, especially those of such grade sometimes depend on the owner's strength.] The system said. [As for this sword, from the skills it is clear that its strength is dependent on the user and since it isn't bounded to anyone, it is weak.]
"From the skill descriptions, it sounds as if Ebony and Ivory are entities?" Blake asked.
[Actually, they are. Remember the room at the beast floor?" The system's question made them realize that one of their many questions has been answered.
[Exactly. The souls of beasts were used in forging this masterpiece.] The system confirmed their suspicions.
"I wonder what level of beasts were used to craft the sword." Brian thought aloud.
"Not a beast expert but I am sure it's nothing below the emperor level beasts." Castiel.
The three nodded in agreement but the system had a suspicion that it was an ancestral beast.

New Game (Reborn as a Reluctant Demon Lord, Book 1)
Portal Fantasy. Isekai. A daydream of nerds everywhere, leaving behind their boring world and living in a fantasy one that is full of adventure. A daydream that became a reality for me and 1000 other Comic-Con attendees. Except for me, it was more of a nightmare. Wanting nothing more than to find a way home, and also saddled with being the world's new [Demon Lord], I found myself trapped in a gamelike world and also somehow a part of the [Hero's] party. So join me as I tell the tale of my struggles. A tale of levels and skills. A tale of cagey game admins and bugs. And a tale of our party's grand quest to defeat... Well... Me. ---- What to expect from this book? 1. A main character who is not overpowered (and instead has to go from near-useless to strong. Not just weak to strong). If you are looking for an OP [Demon Lord] who laughs at his weakling enemies... This isn't for you. 2. A meandering pace as the characters aren't told how a lot of the world works and have to figure it out themselves. (And because there are a lot of characters. Whose idea was it to have a party of 9? I blame Jake) 3. A tragedy. A lot of things are not going to go well for the protagonist. (Not that everything is tragedy all the time. There is humor, laughter, friendship, and even a mascot monster character who got way more popular than I expected. But this is not a story that will leave you uplifted and inspired after every time you read it). ---- Release Schedule and publishing information: Book 1 is complete! I will include a link to book 2 once it has been started. Feel free to give feedback, positive or negative. ---- Other notes Book 1? Yes, this says Book 1. There are probably going to be 3 books. No, the plot as you can guess is not going to be tortured to drag out all the way to book 3. That would be ridiculous. If you can guess the plot of books 2 or 3 at any point before the last chapter of book 1, please use your clairvoyant powers for something more productive. TitusGM? This story is intentionally told under the username TitusGM because the idea is that he was the one actually writing everything down what happened after it all is over. I initially planned to answer everything in character on this site, but that just really didn't work out. If you want an in character response to a comment, simply prefix it with IC: (I also try to leave that as a reminder in the author's note after each new chapter) Cover art? Made by a friend who shall remain nameless at this time by his request

D Days
Dragons were the apex predators of the magical world, feared for their strength and intelligence. They stood at the pinnacle of creation, until mankind fueled by fear and envy banded together and struck them down as the greatest threat to the continued existence of their kingdoms. Peace reigned for many years across the continent, until an accident in the Magocracy of Ken turned one of the most powerful mage lords into a power mad lich. Raising an undead army and creating a cult that worshipped him like a god, he cut a bloody swath across the continent in a bid to create his own domain. A great alliance consisting of the Kingdom of Light, the Magocracy of Ken, the Forest Kingdom of the Elves, the Mountain Kingdom of the Dwarves, and the Wild Tribes of the West rose up and the high lich was defeated, his armies destroyed, and his cult scattered. Still recovering, the world is a constant state of petty power struggles and back biting between nations. Border disputes are common and the constant fighting has taken a toll on the populations of all the nations. Magikind
Disclaimer: This is a low-fantasy, soft-sci-fi genre. In fact, it's a variety of genres, so don't be too put off by the tags Through several centuries of selective breeding, these beings, known as mages, have become part of the very foundations of society. However, some humans refused to change or adapt along with them. They believed in purity and refused to interbreed with magikind. Known as the manush, they were a rarity among society. Now, in the fifth millennia, the manush are thought to be extinct. With magikind ruling the world, a three-way war grips society between Eurasia, Afro-Australian Alliance and The Americas. In these uncertain times, a manush called Gin enters the Eurasian army. From there, our journey unfolds. A story of how mankind could realistically evolve while still pushing boundaries. PS. The Origins Of The Races [Español!]
