Xian after dropping Mishi and Xian at home, left for the office when he received a call from Lan Zhan. He parked the car aside at the road and took the call. He answered the call.

"Xian, where are you?" Lan Zhan asked from the other side.

"Going to the office. Why? What happened?" Xian asked.

"Come to the police station. There is something that you must know," Lan Zhan proclaimed. Xian found that something was wrong. "Okay, I am coming," replied Xian and hung up the call. Starting the call, he turned the car to the police station.

Reaching there he met Lan Zhan who told him to take a seat. Xian sat on the chair and asked him if everything was fine. "Xian, during investigation we found something regarding your father. He was blackmailed by Lee Shan Bin," asserted Lan Zhan.

"What?" Xian exclaimed. Knitting his brows Xian further spoke, "I don't want to talk about that person. He is not my father for your kind information." Saying this Xuan stood up when Lan Zhan stopped him.

"It is the time you should get aware of the truth. You are being harsh on your father all these years because of some misunderstandings. Please listen to the truth," Lan Zhan pronounced.

Xian chuckled. "It does not matter to me. You don't know anything about my past so, let it remain bury. I am happy in my life after such a long time and talking about that person whom I not only hate but…" Xian stopped speaking as tears filled his eyes. "Leave it. I have a meeting so, I have to leave," Xian muttered.

"I might not know the past but I found the secret which was hidden from you and mother," Lan Zhan asserted. Xian scoffed, "Whatever it is, I do not want to hear." Saying this Xian headed out of the police station in anger.

Lan Zhan walked after him and grabbed his arm. "It is not about you only but also about your mother. Can't you hear for her? She suffered more than you," stated Lan Zhan and came to the front of Xian. "Lee Shan Bin wanted to include you in his Mafia business but your father refused so Lee Shan Bin planned to kill you and your mother. Uncle Zhang had to go away from you so that you can live a good life. You must talk everything out with your father." Lan Zhan suggested Xian.

"His memories hurt me," Xian said in a broken voice. His eyes were fluttering and he lowered them. "He told me I should have been dead. Do you know what happens to a 6-7 years old child when his/her parent say something like this to him/her. I pleaded him not to leave me…not to leave my mother. Those dark memories are not only imprinted in my mind but also in my heart.

For me my father died the day, he stepped foot out of our lives. If you have sympathy towards him than good for you. Sorry, I am not a bit sympathetic towards him. I would have killed him by now but because of mom he is alive."

Xian jerked off Lan Zhan's hand off his arm and walked away as fast as he could.

Lan Zhan ran his fingers through his hair. "But your father did things for you. Can't you understand this simple thing?" murmured Lan Zhan when his junior came there, telling him that station chief had asked for his presence. Lan Zhan nodded and walked inside the police station.

Xian inside the car, slammed his hand against the wheelchair. "How could he come with such kind of excuse? I know it is his planning to come back to our lives," muttered Xian and wore the seat belt. He started the engine and drove to the office.

Reaching the office, he directly went to the conference room. The managers of every department of Maximus stood up their chairs and greeted Xian. "Please have your seats," Xian told them and they all seated. Xian opened the water bottle and drank the water from it.

The project presentation was going on but Xian's mind was somewhere else. The hurtful memories of his past was anguishing him. One of those painful memories was when his father told him that he should have been died. He slammed his hand against the table that everyone in the conference room turned their gazes at him.

The Human Resources manager who was speaking at that time thought he made a mistake by raising a point. "Sir, is everything okay?" Li Wei asked who was sitting beside Xian. "Meeting is dismissed," saying this Xian walked out of the conference room.

Xian went to the roof and stood at the edge. His both hands were on the railing as he looked up at the sky. "Why? Why did he do that? Did he really…. No, what are you thinking? That day, he clearly expressed his true feelings regarding his own son. If this thing will come in front of mother, then I know she will melt away and let that man enter our lives. No, I will not let this happen," Xian muttered and took out the phone from his pocket.

Dialing Lan Zhan's number, he waited for him to answer. Lan Zhan picked the call and asked Xian if he cooled down. "Don't tell mom about this," Xian straightly said.

"Why? She is the one who shall know about this," Lan Zhan opined.

"No. She shall not know this thing," Xian said as a tear rolled down his cheek. "This is not the truth. You have made some kind of mistake in the investigation," Xian muttered. "He left us for the other woman," Xian said as his voice broke down and he closed his eyes.

"I did not do the investigation. Special investigators were called for to investigate him. As they investigated, they came across the every record of Lee Shan Bin. Your father had a tiny firm which Lee Shan Bin took over when your father…"

"Just shut up! I don't want to listen…just don't tell mom about this. If you did then, you will no longer be my brother," Xian asserted and hung up the call and threw the phone in anger such that it hit the roof floor. He put his both palms over his eyes and sat on the floor there.
