Samuel was in the court with Xian and Mishi. He saw his mother there and ran to her. "Mom," Samuel said as he grabbed one of her legs. "I missed you."

Noh Liam looked at him when Gu Pang to go away. Xian and Mishi went to them. Mishi told Samuel to come to her but he refused. Worriedly Mishi looked at Xian.

"Leave my leg. I am not your mother. Do you not understand?" Noh Liam shouted at him. Samuel started crying while Xuan got furious.

"Refrain from shouting at the kid," Xian with a stern look said.

"Mom… mom, I won't disturb you. I won't ask for Chocolates," Samuel said while weeping when Noh Liam pushed him away. Mishi held Samuel while Chang warned Noh Liam. "This is a court. Your misbehavior can lead to a punishment," Chang told her.

Mishi was caressing Sam's back, consoling him. Xian bent on his knees and turned towards him. "Am I not your dad? Look my wife, your mother has also started crying seeing you," Xian told Sam and wiped the tears off Sam's cheeks.

Sam turned his head to look at Mishi and saw she was indeed crying. "Mom," Sam said while sobbing. Xian caressed his hair. Sam after some ten minutes stopped crying. Chang told them they needed to go to the children affairs courtroom.

Xian nodded and stood up along with Mishi. He wiped off the tears from Mishi's cheeks using his thumb. "Everything is alright," Xian told Mishi who gave a nod. Holding Sam's pinky finger, Xian went followed Chang along with Mishi.

Inside the courtroom, they seated on the bench while Sam was made sit on a chair which was close to the judges desk. Three judges came there in five minutes and took their respective seats. All of them stood in their respect and then got seated again.

"Who is Samuel's birth mother?" one of the judges asked and looked at the paper in front of his desk. "Mrs. Noh Liam Peng," the judge called out her name.

Noh Liam stood up when the judge asked about the reason. "He is not my child. I am not his birth mother. It is just I was the second wife of Mr. Wan who is no more. This son was under my care but I don't want to take care of him," Noh Liam stressed her words.

"My lord, The DNA test report is also submitted to the court which clearly shows that Mrs. Peng and the child, Samuel Wan are not related by blood in anyway," Chang asserted. The assistant there passed the DNA report to the judges who read it and then put it aside.

Samuel's eyes turned teary when his mother told the judge that he was not her son. "So, are you willing to give the legal parental rights of Samuel to Mr. Xian Zhang and Mrs. Mishi Xin?" The judge asked Noh Liam.

"Yes," Noh Liam answered.

The second judge turned her eyes to Samuel. "Samuel, hello. I am Ai Baozhai," the lady judge introduced herself to Samuel.

"Hello," Samuel responded to her and wiped his eyes with his little hands.

"Samuel, may I ask you a few Questions? It is like a game. Would you like to play this with me?" Ai Baozhai asked.

Samuel nodded.

"Do you like your Mr. Xian Zhang and Mrs. Mishi Zhang? Do you like to be with them?" Ai Baozhai asked. The other two judges also looked at Sam to hear the response.

"Yes," Samuel replied.

"Did they spend time sigh you? Play with you?" Baozhai asked the next question.

"Yes," Sam answered.

"Did you mother who is sitting over there also like them? Which of them is best?" Baozhai queried him.

"Umm…" Sam looked at Noh Liam who was not even looking at him and then at Mishi who gave him a cheering smile. Sam pointed his finger towards Mishi.

"So, Sam would you like to be their son?" Baozhai finally asked.

Sam after thinking for a while nodded. Baozhai smiled and told the assistant to give a chocolate bar which she had placed on her table to give to Samuel. The assistant did so and handed the chocolate to Samuel who thanked him.

"Samuel you need to go out. I have to ask certain questions from your parents as well," Baozhai told Sam.

"Okay," Sam got down the chair when assistant of Chang came forward and took Samuel out of the court. As soon as Samuel walked out of the courtroom, Baozhai started asking questions from Mishi and Xian.

"Mr. and Mrs. Zhang, taking care of a kid is not an easy task. Samuel is not your first child. After sometime when you will have your firstborn, will you two consider him as your own child or not… that's still questionable.

Child abuse is mostly scene in such cases. Giving the custody of Samuel to you is not that easy. As we three judges have seen from the behavior of Samuel's mother that she had almost thrown him into the roads so, it is difficult for us to believe you as well.

We know as the responsible citizens Mr. Zhang, you reported the incident to the police right away you which is quite appreciable but giving the custody right away will going to be difficult," Baozhai pronounced.

"But it doesn't mean that we will not be granted you his custody in future. We are giving you one month time and after a month you have to again come to the court. We will supervise you and based on that you will be granted custody. Since, the child has shown his interest in you two so, we are sure that after a month also we will get to see same trust in Samuel's eyes as it was today," the other judge declared.

"Since Samuel must go to school as well so, we are giving you a legal certificate which will help you in getting an admission for Samuel in the school," stated Baozhai. Both Mishi and Xian gave a nod with a tiny smile in their lips.

"There will be punishment as well for Mrs. Noh Liam for leaning Samuel in the streets at the might. You are charged with a fine of One million Yuan. Please deposit the amount in next 15 days else you will be put behind the bars," the third judge announced his decision for Noh Liam.

Announcing their decisions, the judges left the courtroom. Chang came to Xian and Mishi. "It happens usually. Since there is increase in child abuse cases mostly to who become orphans so, taking custody is not easy," asserted Chang.

"We understand. Good thing that Samuel wants to be with us. I am happy that he believes us and wants to live with us," Xian asserted and then looked at Mishi who agreed with him.
