Lan Zhan was packing his things up when Mei Fen came to his desk. "Going home?" she asked.

"Hmm. For two straight days I am here. Shall I come over to your place?" Lan Zhan asked her with a smirk.

"Why are you asking? You can come there any time but you see, I have to stay one hour more here at the station. A lot of people associated with Lee Shan Bin are caught so, work has increased," Mei Fen stated.

"Give me the work. I will finish it. You should rest," Lan Zhan told Mei Fen who smiled. "Junior, you cannot do the work of a senior officer. I am finishing it up in an hour then we will go." Lan Zhan smiled and told her to go. Mei Fen nodded and went to the investigation room.

"I have to keep a check on Hu Shen as well. He has not given up on Mishi and can harm Xian to get her," Lan Zhan murmured and picked the phone from his desk. He called his friend named Su Xulin who is a private detective-cum-investigator. Su Xulin answered the call.

"Lan Zhan, how are you? You called me after a long time," Su Xulin muttered.

"I am good. What about you? Are you free?" Lan Zhan asked.

"Yes. What happened? Want some help?" Su Xulin queried.

"Yes. There is a person whom I want you to investigate about," asserted Lan Zhan.

"Who?"

"Hu Shen."

"What did he do?" Su Xulin asked.

Lan Zhan narrated him the entire incident. "He is quite a clever and witty person," Lan stated.

"Hmm. I got that just by seeing how did he manipulate the share prices. Don't worry. Give me a week. I will contact you then," asserted Su Xulin.

"Your fees?"

"The price is same for you," Su Xulin replied.

"Okay. I am wiring the money, right away. Just find about this man quickly. He is dangerous for both Xian and Mishi," pronounced Lan Zhan.

"Do not worry. I will find get back to you in a week. Send me his photo and the rest work I will handle." Su Xulin assured Lan Zhan, who thanked him and cut the call.

Mei Fen came there. She snapped her fingers in front of Lan Zhan's eyes as she saw he was in a deep thought. "What are you thinking?" Mei Fen asked him.

"Nothing. You returned? What about the investigation?" Lan Zhan asked as he stood up from the chair.

"Other officer took over it. Let's go home then," Mei Fen replied and walked away. Lan Zhan followed her out. Mei Fen sat on the driver's seat while Lan Zhan was on the passenger seat. "Shall I drive? You must be tired," Lan Zhan stated.

"I am not. Fasten your seat belt. In the next 30 minutes, we will be home," Mei Fen asserted. Lan Zhan gave a nod and fastened his seat belt. Exactly 30 minutes later, they were in Mei Fen's house. Lan Zhan laid rested on the couch there with his head on the headrest. "Two days were so tiring," Lan Zhan murmured when he felt Mei Fen's fingers on his forehead.

Forthwith, he opened his eyes and gazed into the eyes of Mei Fen. "What are you doing?" He asked.

"Giving a massage to you. It will help you relax. You are stressed out since yesterday," muttered Mei Fen. Lan Zhan gave her a sheepish smile and then grabbed her wrist. "You are tired as well. Come sit beside me. That way I will feel better," asserted Lan Zhan. Mei Fen came at the front and sat beside him.

Lan Zhan rested his head on Mei Fen's shoulder and closed his eyes. "Take a few days leave to take a good rest," Mei Fen stated.

"What about my duty then? And above all what will I do taking the leaves when you will not be with me?" Lan Zhan questioned her. Mei Fen put her hand into Lan Zhan's hair and caressed them.

"I will also take a few leaves," Mei Fen replied.

"Want to spend time with me?" Lan Zhan asked.

"Yes. It has been long since we two have gone to a good place," asserted Mei Fen. Lan Zhan lifted his head up and then placed his both hands on Mei Fen's cheeks, making her look at him.

"Where do you want to go?" Lan Zhan asked.

"Somewhere you and I can walk with hand in hand…and just we two would be there," stated Mei Fen.

"Umm… do you want to go to Antarctica then? There would be no one except us," Lan Zhan answered and smiled. Mei Fen slightly laughed upon hearing Lan Zhan's response. "Stop joking," Mei Fen replied and lightly hit his shoulder.

Lan Zhan put his hands down from Mei Fen's cheeks. "Go, freshen up. Clothes are in the right cupboard," Mei Fen told Lan Zhan. Mei Fen quickly give him a peck on the lips and stood to when Lan Zhan grabbed his wrist.

He pulled her down such that she was on his lap with hands on his shoulders. Stroking Mei Fen's hair and then sealed her lips with a kiss. Pulling back, he tucked her hair strands behind her earlobes and said, "Marry me."

"W-What?" Mei Fen stuttered.

"Marry me. We are dating each other for more than 8 years and now I think we should marry," declared Lan Zhan. His thumb was moving over Mei Fen's right cheek and other hand was moved to her nape.

Mei Fen shook her head and accepted the proposal. Lan Zhan pulled her closer and landed his lips on hers again, gently. "Thanks Chief for coming in my life," Lan Zhan said and again sealed Mei Fen's lips. They moved their lips synchronously against each other. Pulling from each other, they touched their foreheads.

"I am going to disturb you a lot after the marriage. I am going to be a strict wife. Will you able to handle this woman?" Mei Fen asked.

"Only you have the right to disturb me as much as you can. Actually that's not disturbance- that's your love towards me. And, I guy like me need a strict wife. Don't you know the strictness is your special charm? I fell for you 8 years ago because of your strict attitude," proclaimed Lan Zhan. Mei Fen gave a peck on his cheek and hugged him tightly.
