Chasing After My Wife Chapter 521

Jillyanna and Travis ate their food while enjoying the view. "Let's have a family trip next year." She calmly suggested while taking a sip of her wine.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Anywhere you think is fine. I will rely on you when choosing the place."
"Hn. I like it when you rely on me more."
"More? I've been relying on you all these times. I don't want you think I'm a burden."
"I have never thought of you that way. I'm happy and satisfied whenever I make you smile." Jillyanna felt warm in her heart and she fell in love with him once again. Every little thing that he showed to her every single day made her fall for him once again. And she knew that this love would never fade no matter what adversity they will face.
Travis looked at his wife since she didn't respond to him and he was a bit worried if he said something that displeased her. "Jill? Are you alright?"
"Yup. I just think that it is quite unfair to leave everything to you. I am your wife. Why don't we share our worries together? Just let me take care of the children once we get back. You can focus on the company while I take care of everything at home."
"Do you really want to do it? I am worried that you'll be tired."
"I won't be tired. If I ever get tired, I'll let you know. I won't endure it and make you worry."
"Okay."
JIllyanna looked at him and blinked her eyes several times. "O-okay? You agreed?"
"Hn."
"Really?" she had been telling him about this matter but he said different excuses to make her back down from her own offer. She didn't know that she would agree this time. She was still not able to believe it.

She stood up from her seat and walked to his side, hugged him tightly from so much happiness and kissed his chin – her favorite gesture towards him. "Thank you. I'll make sure to do my best and make you proud for having me as your wife."
Travis put down his wine glass and hugged her waist. "I'm proud and happy enough to have you by my side. You don't need to do so much for me. Just make sure that you are safe and healthy. That's more than enough for me."
"And the kids?"
"You will be protecting and taking care of the kids so I am sure that you will keep them safe."
Jillyanna squinted her eyes while looking at him. "Why do I feel that you care for me more than the children?"
Travis was stunned to hear those words from her. He wanted to deny her words but it was actually the truth. He took care of the children because he didn't want her to worry. He didn't want her to get tired, to be upset or to feel anxious. He did everything for her.
Jillyanna took a deep breath and sighed. "I know you are always worried for me but I am really fine now. I know you love the children as much as I do but I can still see that you care for me more than them."
"Sorry." Travis mumbled softly.
"Don't be sorry. I know you are doing what you think is best and right."
"Thank you."
"I should be the one thanking you." Jillyanna responded to him. "Travis, I don't really know what would become of me if I didn't meet you. If I wasn't crazy for hooking up with you, I don't know where I'm at now."

"Actually, I always believe that you will be fine wherever you are, with or without me."
"But you won't leave me, right? We promised that we'll always be together, grow old together and die together."
"I won't break my promise." Travis responded as he took hold of her hands and kissed the back of them. He turned them over and kissed her inner wrists as well. "I will stay with you 'til death do us part."
Jillyanna smiled, even her eyes turned to a lovely crescent moon when she smiled. She leaned her face closer to him and kissed his lips but Travis didn't respond to her. Her face changed abruptly and she was already frowning. "Why aren't you responding to my kiss?"
Travis peered directly into her eyes with deep lust swirling in his gaze. "If I respond to your kiss, I will break my promise earlier."
Jillyanna was slightly confused. "What promise? Did you promise not to kiss me anymore?"
"I promised when we arrived that I will not do anything to you today since we just arrived and you are still worried about our children."
"And kissing is included in that promise?"
"Well, kind of. If I would really kiss you, I won't be able to stop once I start it."
"Oh.. I see." She nodded her head and a grin slowly formed on her face. "I'm so glad to hear that you made that promise."
"Take note of my words. I said 'it is only for today'. Got it?"
"Hn. I totally get it." She kissed him once again and didn't let the chance slip off from her grasp. When she moved, she lightly knocked the table and the red wine spilled, making a little mess on her shirt.
"Are you alright?" Travis asked immediately while looking for a tissue to wipe the stain from her shirt.
"Don't worry about it. I'm fine. I'll just change my clothes."
Travis didn't know that his wife was having naughty thoughts in her head. She was teased by him these past few weeks and she wanted to retaliate. 'Let's see if you can really keep your promise.' She thought to herself while thinking of a plan. 'He'll play scrabble with the sexy me.' Hana laughed victoriously in her mind.
She walked towards the bathroom with his semi-transparent lingerie. She was going to make him go crazy for her during the game. 'I will win this time.'

Moonblood
Five moons rise over Evanir, each in her own cycle, and each moon is also a god, one of five sisters. Many gods create spirit attendants and companions, brought forth fully-formed. Long ago, the moons worked together to create a lineage that are, instead, humans transformed by the mingling of blood. They intended them to be long-lived and to draw their strength directly from the light of the moon who chose each individual. The five sisters had different goals in mind – one wanted it to be a blessing for scholars and artists, to give them more time and fewer physical distractions; another wanted them to have an animal form, different for each, to keep them more in tune with nature so they could serve as guardians of the wilderness. There are drawbacks to their children having human lives and personalities before being chosen: not all share the goals of their divine mothers, and some choose to put their gifts to darker uses. Those carrying the blood of one woman, fleeing the corruption in search of a quiet life, take a different path. -=-=-=-=- Moonblood isn't so much a novel as a series of adventures of varying length. They involve a core group of people, which does grow over time. They take place in a fairly low-magic world, but despite that, our core cast are directly connected to the moons and have various abilities, including limited shapeshifting to a single individual animal form. As with all my work, unless gender, orientation, or other aspects of sexuality are explicitly stated, I suggest not making assumptions. Probably most significant, I think, is a major trans character who appears about 80K words in - no spoilers, just a note for those who care about that one way or the other.
