Chasing After My Wife Chapter 506

Their lunch lasted for almost an hour and everyone was having a good time chatting. "By the way, have you seen Eli these past few days?" Jillyanna asked Cielo about their family doctor and friend. "The last time I saw him was during my stay in the hospital. He visited me several times but he was gone after that."
Cielo was walking right beside her with Travis and Jade following behind them. They were currently walking back inside the house. "Eli said that he will be gone for a while due to some seminars and trainings that will be conducted in the neighboring cities."
"I see. I was a bit worried because I haven't seen him for quite a long time." Jillyanna responded softly. She knew that Eli had feelings for her. She knew it but, she didn't want him to avoid her just because that. He was still considered her close friend even though they couldn't be together. Can't they just remain in that zone?
Travis didn't have anything against Eliezer. He was a man worthy of his respect. Jade wasn't very close to Eli since she wasn't able to spend time with him. However, she knew that the man named Eliezer was someone that her mother cares about. She could count the number of times that she saw him and she can say that he was a good person.
Jackie was also following behind the group when she received a message from Vincent. He was currently out of town so, he wasn't able to attend the gathering. However, he made an appointment to date her later that night so that they can catch with each other and have a chat. Well, they were still in the stage of getting to know one another so she wasn't the least bit worried. In any case, she's still young and should enjoy her life without tying herself to someone else. When the time is ripe, she can go and get herself tied in a knot with him.

He told her that he would come and pick her up around six in the evening for their date, making her smile foolishly while facing her cellphone.
"Hey." Riley nudged her elbow towards her sister's waist to get her attention. "Would you like to help our sister pack her things for their honeymoon?"
"What are you up to?" Jackie questioned knowing that her sister must be thinking of doing naughty things again. "Besides, it is too early to pack. Their trip will last on Wednesday next week."
"When the time comes, let's volunteer to help her."
"You can volunteer on your own." Jackie responded with a smug face.
"You have no sense of joy. I mean, isn't it nice to help her?"
"Oh yeah? Help her? Doing something naughty is helping her?"
"Of course! That's how you spice things up. C'mon, don't tell me you haven't done that?" Riley crossed her arms over her chest and eyed her twin.
"Don't tell me you've done that?"
"I wouldn't cross the line in such young age."
"Then, we are the same. Aren't you the same age as me? Do you think I would do that to someone I am not sure if I am really in love with? I am still getting to know him better. Unlike Shein, whom you know for decades, Vincent and I just met few months ago."
The two of them bickered back and forth, from helping Jillyanna pack to how their love life was sailing; the two of them talked like there wasn't anyone around them. Well, they're all adults so it wasn't new to them. Jade, on the other hand, she didn't want to join the adult's conversation. It would be such a hassle to understand their world.

"Uncle Shein, can I borrow your computers?" Jade asked.
"Sure. Let's go over to my house. We can play with the computers there." Shein responded and carried her on his arms to go back to his own house. Jillyanna and Travis didn't stop them from leaving since it was better than staying with them who discussed adult stuff which shouldn't be spoken with a child around.
There wasn't any problem with the baby since he couldn't understand what the adults were talking just yet. Nonetheless, Travis still carried him to his room and put him to sleep. Doctors said that babies need to sleep more compared to the adults and he believed in those words.
Jillyanna discussed to Cielo and Sky the upcoming trip once again. She needed to make sure that the kids will be alright while they're away.
"You don't have to worry about the kids. Leave them to me." Sky reassured her daughter about. As much as possible, she'd lie to give her and Travis some time to be alone together. They had been preoccupied with so many things and it wouldn't be good if they won't relax and give time to themselves. Besides, she wanted to take care of her grandchildren! Even if Travis and Jillyanna wanted to leave the house for a whole month, she wouldn't disagree. She would even send them off happily.
Jillyanna was finally at ease and confident that nothing will happen while they're gone. "Let me get some water first. Excuse for a while." She stood up from her seat and left to get a glass of water from the kitchen. While doing so, her phone, originally owned by Travis, vibrated in her pocket.
She fished it out and checked who sent her a message. "Hi. I just realized that your other number is being used by your husband. So, I guessed that you will be using his. I am excited to see you again." Jillyanna raised her eyebrow while reading the message. She typed her reply and sent it to him. 'I will welcome you with open arms.' This was what Jillyanna typed before blocking the number. Though, she doubted it will stop the person from contacting her.
"Well, there's no other way but to face him. Didn't he say that he is married already? Why is he sending me messages like this? That's a little bit weird." She mumbled to herself without noticing that Travis was standing right behind her.
