Chasing After My Wife Chapter 505

"Grandma!" Jade greeted happily when she saw Sky coming over. She had always been closer to Sky among her grandparents. It's not that she wasn't loved by her grandpas but, they just didn't know how to take care of children.
"Hey there, sweetheart. How have you been doing?" Sky asked as she pulled the little girl in a warm embrace.
"I have been doing very well. Daddy and Mommy talked about sending me to school this year and I made a new friend yesterday as well. His name is Ethan. I will introduce you to him next time."
"Wow! That is great news. I'm excited to know this new friend of yours. Is he the same as you?"
"Nope. He is older than me but he is also very intelligent. He is still nine years old but he's already in 6th grade. He will be in 7th grade next school year." There was a smile and proud expression on Jade's face when she talked about Ethan. After all, it was rare for her to meet someone smart who wasn't an adult yet.
The two of them continued to talk while Thomas and Alex had a chat on their own. The were talking about fertilizers and stuff that can be used for the betterment of the hacienda. Alex wasn't a farmer but he used to plant some vegetables in their small garden before they even became rich. He knew so much about planting since that was their source of consumption before.
Cielo and Jillyanna talked about parenting with Travis. She got so many recipes from Travis as well which were nutritious and delicious. Lucian was talking to Shein and Valkyrie about the current threat that was lurking in the shadows.
Jenny helped Savannah and Hawk in the kitchen while Riley and Jackie dealt with the things at the back. Someone should keep watch of the place before lunch.

"I really like how lively the atmosphere in this house. It wasn't like our old home where our parents always suffered to raise us and didn't have time for us, until they died." Riley commented out of nowhere while staring up in the clear blue sky.
"Don't think about it. Our parents must want us to keep moving forward. If you keep thinking about the past, you might get stuck in it. Be careful." Jackie responded to her sister before she walked out and went to the bridge to look at the koi fishes.
"Jackie, do you want to forget our parents?" Riley asked hesitantly since her sister wasn't that easy to fathom. People said that twins have some sort of telepathy that helps them connect to the other. However, sometimes, she felt that she couldn't quite understand what her twin was thinking. Ever since they were kids, Jackie was the one who didn't show her emotions. She was used to keeping it and Riley was also used to not to pry on her.
"I won't ever forget them. It's just that, I don't want to keep on reliving the painful memory of them."
Riley thought that she was making sense. It was painful to see their pale and lifeless faces again and again. She didn't respond to what Jackie said and just decided to look after the garden. Sometimes, there are things that didn't need to be said.
As soon as everything was set, everyone went out to the back garden to have their lunch. They didn't need to be worried about the heat of the sun since they were under the tent and the wind was quite cool and breezy. The guards and the helpers were having their lunch inside the house while they enjoyed their time in the garden. Travis was holding their son so, Jillyanna decided to feed him.

"Sweet as always." Gabriel commented when he saw their interaction. "Aren't afraid that you will get bitten by ants?"
"You are just envious since Winter isn't here." Jillyanna retorted back. "When is she coming back by the way?"
"She'll be back in a month." Gabriel informed her. "She was just preparing some documents in the compound."
"So, you are finally getting married? When will she talk to her parents?" Travis questioned his friend.
"She told me that she'll talk to them once she's back."
"How about you Schniezel and Taira?" Thomas directed the question to Hawk and Savannah. "Isn't it time for you to settle down as well?"
"Uh..we haven't talked about it but that's part of the plan." Hawk responded with a faint smile on his face. Savannah who heard the question just smiled to Thomas but deep in her heart, she was also a bit worried. Why? Because even though he said that they 'talked' about it, there wasn't any talking that happened. He never once mentioned about getting married to her. He did say that he wanted to have children with her but getting married and wanting children were two different matters.
Jillyanna could feel the sudden uneasiness on Savannah's face. She couldn't blame her though, specially that Hawk kept everything a secret to her. Giving a house wasn't enough to prove someone's loyalty. Anyone can give you a house but he can also do the same thing to other women. He can say that he wanted to have children with you but, he can also have children with anyone he likes. Even married couple commits adultery and infidelity.
Relationship would really measure someone's trust, love and loyalty. Savannah was strong enough to kept these three things with her towards Hawk despite not talking about marriage. She still believes in him.
Hawk caught hold of Savannah's hand under the table and squeezed it with a smile on his face. "No matter what, I will only love you in this life time, in the next life and the next one after that. No matter how many times it will be, I will only love you." Hawk whispered softly while looking directly on to her eyes.
Savannah smiled back. 'There's no way I would doubt this man's love for me.' She thought to herself. They had been through a lot. Even though they grew up together, they always get into heated argument. When they joined the military, they would always argue and at the same time, they understood each other. Most part of their life was spent together and there was nothing more precious than that. "I don't regret loving you." She whispered back to him.
Since everyone was busy talking about this thing and that, they didn't notice this short exchange between the two lovers except, Jillyanna and Jade who sat directly across them.
