Chasing After My Wife Chapter 492

One after another, the people left when it was almost midnight. Jade was already sleeping in her room and Jillyanna was sending the guest off with Travis.
"Tsk! You never once allowed me to carry the baby." Cheska grumbled when she walked past him.
"He is my son. If you want to-"
"Shut up." Cheska glared at him. "I have heard enough of your words tonight. Don't say it again."
"I just want to say, if you want to carry him, come back during day time wherein I can see him in clear daylight." Travis continued the words that he wanted to say.
"Really? You promise?" Cheska jumped to her feet happily. She was really eager to hold the baby but Travis won't just allow her to. He was just very possessive of the child.
"I promise."
"Yay! I will come during my day off so I can spend my whole day with him."
"What about me?" Diego questioned her when he heard that she was planning to spend her weekend with the baby.
"You? You stay put and reflect why." Cheska glared and walked away after bidding farewell to Jilly and her family. The rest of the food that were not eaten were given to the waiters who served that night. Even though they were able to eat the food, their family didn't so it was better to give it to them instead of letting it spoil and throw it.
Once they were all gone, Travis and Jillyanna went to Baby Raizel's room to tucked the baby to sleep. It didn't take long before the baby sleep and the two of them checked on Jade who was already sound asleep.
"We didn't read a bedtime story to her." Jillyanna mumbled with guilty conscience.
"She will understand." Travis stated and closed the door of their daughter's room. "You asked me where your gift is, right?"

"I did but I don't really mind if there's none."
"But you also knew that there is."
"Yeah. I know it's impossible that you don't have one for me." Jillyanna retorted as she followed him to their room.
"I do have."
"It's not your body again, right?"
Travis let out a faint laughter upon hearing her question. "I gave it to you earlier and I believe you need to have plenty of rest before I can give it to you again."
"So, what is it that you really want to give me?" Jillyanna sat on their bed and looked at him.
"Close your eyes for a moment." Travis ordered her. She did as she was told and closed her eyes. Travis opened the curtain to see if everything was alright.
"Can I open it now?"
"Wait a minute." Travis walked back to her and held her hands. He led her slowly to the glass window and made sure that curtain won't obscure her view. "You can open your eyes now."
She slowly opened her eyes and saw the best view of their house. It was the back garden. It was just a place with different flowers planted by her mother and father, and a wall that kept anyone from intruding her space. There was a small gate at the back before where she used to sneak out of the house and went to the Shans.
Now, what she was seeing wasn't the same view that she was used to these past years. What was in front of her was the lavish garden with the koi fish pond and the bamboo groves and the three houses. What was more surprising was that, the flowers that her mother planted were moved and were formed into words. 'FOREVER WITH YOU' was how they were out together. She didn't notice it earlier and she wasn't really paying attention to it. She was just happy that the plants were still there and that she got koi fishes and bamboo groves. She never anticipated this. The lights that were placed at the side of the plants, making an outline of the words were shinning brightly. Jillyanna's tears started falling down on her face and she just couldn't stop her sob. So many things happened in her life that she thought she was abandoned and felt hopeless of herself.

Travis pulled her into a tight hug and kissed the top of her head again and again. "Every day, this view will remind me of my promise to you. No matter what happens, I'll be forever with you."
Jillyanna just nodded her head on his chest. Her tears soiled his shirt already but none of them mind it. "I was expecting an accessory or something. At least, it won't make me cry."
"I did buy an accessory for you."
"You did?"
"Uh huh. You haven't gone out to shop so, I thought of buying them for you." Travis responded to her. She immediately wiped her tears away and fixed her hair. She wanted to divert her brain into something else before she dwells on her past and self-pity the past her again.
Travis took a box from under their bed and gave it to her. It was nicely wrapped and there was even a note on the lid cover. 'I hope you will like them.' She looked towards him and somehow, she had a bad premonition of what was inside it. "Reading your note made me not want to open this."
"Why not?"
"Because you were hoping that I will like them. You know that I like whatever you give me. So, why hope? I guess it is something else."
"My wife knows me well." Travis chuckled and his eyes were expressing the mischief he had in mind. And sure enough, when Jillyanna opened the box, what greeted her were a pair of black sheer stocking with a belt and gartered thong attached to it. Plus, a black brassiere which would only cover a small part of her chest. The accessory? There was an accessory; a black headband of a cat 's ear and a cat's tail.
"You, shameless pervert!" Jillyanna covered the box, pushed it back to him and ran to hide under her blanket. "We'll sleep tonight. We'll sleep tonight." She murmured to herself under her thick quilt.
"You haven't showered yet." Travis reminded her with his soft and sweet silk voice. Jillyanna clutched onto the blanket and closed her eyes. "I'm very tired already. Let me sleep already."
"If you won't shower, I will wipe your body."
"I will take a shower but don't shower with me."
"Okay." Travis just wanted to tease her a little but the things he gave to her weren't just to tease her. He really wanted her to wear them. "I'll let you off this time." He murmured to her with a trace of laughter on his voice. "Go and take a bath now before I change my mind."
Jillyanna got out from bed and went to the bathroom immediately. 'I can't take it anymore if he attacks me now.' She thought to herself when she got inside the bathroom.

I'm Always Talking to Myself
My name is Zach. I’m a typical bland featureless protagonist type. The kind of guy who has purposefully few defining characteristics so that people can project whatever they want on me. Like Luke from Star Wars or what’s her name from Twilight. Most main characters are like me. Kind of flavorless blank slates because we all secretly doubt that we’re Harrison Ford, but pretty much anyone could be Mitt Romney. Yep. Yes indeed, I do spend basically my entire life running an internal dialog to no one. Usually I’m imagining that there are people listening. Like maybe philosophers from Ancient Greece, or researchers from another planet who act suspiciously like the characters from that Instagram comic with the aliens. Stupid Instagram comedians stealing my internal monologue and turning into a wildly successful enterprise which I would imagine has a vibrant merch dropshipping arm and hundreds of thousands of daily dopamine hits for loyal followers. I basically spend all of my time explaining random things to imaginary people (and aliens, and animals, and household items which have inexplicably gained sentience and frankly have some concerns about this whole existence thing). Honestly, it’s both highly entertaining to me, in that it makes me think about why we humans do all of the bizarre things that we do, but also horrifically exhausting and kind of makes you feel like you’re either, worst cast, losing your grip on reality, or best case, becoming Abed from Community. Anyway, I’m sure that I have some distinguishing characteristics, but, in the interest of hypnotic suggestion I’m choosing to omit them until I’m pretty sure that you have subconsciously come to identify with me, or until I feel like it. (By the way, in case I forgot to mention it, a higher power called Aww Thor or something told me to say that this is a slice-of-life comedy adventure and that it's set in a fantasy world with isekai and LitRPG elements.)

Will was a normal guy in his mid twenties, living in small town America. He was relatively aimless. Then he got struck by lightning. Waking up reminded him why falling asleep in strange places had stopped being a pleasant adventure for the next day, years before. Then, the crazy started. Life would never be the same, but he wasn't aimless anymore. Plus, you know, super powers are cool. Warning: There will be swearing and casual conversation about subjects that might have some people clutching their pearls. There will be dirty jokes. There will not be graphic depictions of sexual activity, or harem shenanigans, as I'm making my mother read this. That would be very uncomfortable.
