Chasing After My Wife Chapter 481

TWO MONTHS LATER…
Jade changed into her black dress and chose a pair of black shoes to come with it. She had learned to choose her own clothes, tie her own hair, bath herself and do other things by herself. The little child forced herself to learn as many things as she could after her mother had an accident.
Baby Raizel was already allowed to come home and the family welcomed him happily. Sadly, Jillyanna was just so unfortunate that she didn't see her own child right after giving birth to him.
"Jade? Are you done?" Riley called to her from outside her door. "We will have to go in half an hour? There will be many people in the cemetery later."
"I'm almost done Auntie. I'm putting on my shoes." She retorted back.
"Alright. Come downstairs once your done. You haven't drunk your glass of milk yet."
"Yes yes. I will be done in a moment." She continued to do her thing while listening to Riley's fading footsteps. After making sure that she didn't forget anything, she walked out of her room and walked downstairs. There many people who wore the same color of clothes as her. Most of them wore black and white while some were wearing gray clothings.
"Jade, make sure to drink your milk. It's getting colder already." Travis reminded his daughter.
"Yes Dad." Jade went to the kitchen and drank the milk prepared for her. Auntie Fei placed a small pouch in her hand which contained chocolate chip cookies. They will be staying in the cemetery for quite sometime and the ride going there will take sometime so she wanted the child to have something she can munch in case, she'd get hungry. "Thank you so much, Auntie Fei."

"You're welcome sweetheart." Auntie Fei caressed her face before taking the empty glass from her so that she can wash it.
In the living room, Travis was holding on to the small baby in his arms while waiting for everyone to come down. Shein already prepared the cars that they will be using to the cemetery. There were flowers of different kinds which they freshly picked from the garden. Cielo was the one who arranged them when she visited yesterday.
"Daddy, let me bring the diaper bag." Jade commented when she saw that her father was holding onto the bags while having the baby in his arms. Actually, other offered to help him as well but he didn't like anyone touching his child's things. He was a very hands-on father.
He was responsible for changing the baby's diaper, for singing him to sleep, feeding him with milk, cleaning the water bottles, washing his clothes, playing with him and many other things. He doesn't even like anyone getting inside the baby's room. He was very possessive of his son. Only Jade was allowed to come inside since she would always look after the baby.
When the baby came home, Jade was so happy that she even forgot about the news of her mother's health. Baby Raizel stayed with the Madrid's family for the time being while Travis arranged everything at the hospital. He would always call Sky to check on the child as well as Jade who came to stay over once again. It was for the sake of keeping the baby company. Riley and Shein stayed home while Jackie went back to school already.
Jade was a very good elder sister. "Daddy, you will be tired with both the baby and the bags." Jade reminded him.
"Won't you be tired? The bag is a little heavy." Travis mumbled.

"It's fine. I can just take a rest if I get tired." Jade answered him.
"Alright." Travis gave her the bag containing the extra diapers as well as a bottle of milk that he kept warm in a small insulated container.
With what happened to Jillyanna, Jade matured earlier than everyone of her age but, Travis didn't forget to spoil her from time to time. Riley would bring her souvenirs as well whenever she gets home from work. Shein would allow her to play with his computer when Baby Raizel was sleeping. Cielo would visit them as well to check both children.
Shein became the temporary CEO of the Venus Plaza but every time he would decide over something important, he will still consult his brother-in=law. He worked hard to guard his Empire while Travis kept their family intact. The past two months, people noticed that something was wrong and that Jillyanna no longer showed up in any places that she frequently visits before. Riley didn't talk about her family even when the news of the baby was out. Shein didn't answer any questions from the shareholders and directors either. There was even a time that Diego walked out from a Finance Magazine interview when he was asked about how Jillyanna was doing.
It wasn't really part of the scope but almost everyone wanted to know how Jillyanna was doing. There weren't any photos of her during Christmas and New Year. The last picture of her that was uploaded on line was the one from Venus Plaza's year-end party. After that, there wasn't any update about her. It was like she just disappeared into thin air.
The doctors and nurses who knew the truth didn't say anything. They knew how to keep this kind of confidential matters. Aside from that, they didn't want to become the enemy of Travis Madrigal.
Back to the mansion, Jade followed Travis out of the house and got inside the car first. Jillyanna came after her and last was Travis. Shein placed her wheelchair at the back of the car before walking towards the driver's seat. He will be driving the car for them with Rilley sitting on the front seat.
"Sis, are you alright? Make sure to let us know of any discomfort." Riley told Jillyanna who just smiled and nodded her head.
Jillyanna was really weak this time since she just got out of the hospital. Jade was even stronger compared to her. She was back to her old self where few steps would exhaust her so much. Now, the mansion was just like how it was before; pitcher of water was placed everywhere and will be changed every 24 hours.
