"Not really. You can hand it back to me after two days. You talk to Jillyanna about this."
"But, I can already bring the child back with us, right?"
"Yes. You can take her with you."
Travis and Riley looked towards the little girl who was sitting quietly on the couch. Riley stood up from her seat and approached her. "Hi sweetie. You are Jade, right?" Jade stared right back into her eyes and nodded her head. "My name is Riley. Come here." She reached out her hand and held on to the little girls cute and small hand. "You are coming with us to your new home."
"Where is the big sister yesterday? She told me that she is coming today.'' Jade made inquiry since she didn't find Jillyanna.
"She is waiting for you outside." Riley answered the little girl. "I'll take you to her."
Travis watched them left the room before turning to Atty. Lewis and Jiya. "Thank you for taking care of her and the other children. I'll give these documents to Jillyanna first. She might want to change some information. I'll have someone send these documents back in two days."
"Thank you for taking her in Mr. Madrigal." Jiya made a light bow, expressing his gratitude towards him. "We will leave her now in your family's care.''
Travis just nodded his head at them before taking the envelope with bunch of documents and left the office.
Meanwhile, Jillyanna had been staring at the porch of the orphanage to see if anyone's coming out. So far,, there were only children who came out to play with their friends.
"What's taking them so long? He could just get the documents and the child, then left." She mumbled unhappily.

"Doesn't he need to sign anything before getting the child?" Hawk, who was sitting on the driver's seat, asked her about the process.
"Not really. He can hand it in the next few days, in case there are things that we wanted to change."
"You are quite familiar with the process."
"Of course. Did you forget that I have adopted several kids already?"
Instead of watching her through the rearview mirror, Hawk turned his body to the side so that he can see her clearly. "You mean to say, the twins and Shein, you really adopted them?"
"Did you think I just picked them up and name them with out going through proper procedure?"
"Well, I don't know much about adoption process and I didn't ask you about it before." Hawk returned to his original position while throwing a glance at the entrance of the orphanage.
"Since we finally get the chance to talk alone, I have something to ask you. Are you serious about Savannah?"
Hawk chuckled and gave her a smile. "Is that even a question. Isn't it obvious that I am head over heels for her?"
"You are? I don't see that." She was really blunt and straight forward. "She had been staying in your family, right? Does your parents like her?"
Hawk looked at Jillyanna again, then looked around them to make sure that no one was listening outside. "Please help me keep this a secret to her." He leaned over his seat and whispered to her. "My parents always like her. In fact, they wouldn't want me to marry anyone but her. I also joined the military because of her. She always wanted to become strong so that she can protect the ones she cared about. My parents wanted me to protect her with all my life. In the process, I didn't know she'd fall in love with me which is a very good thing."

"What's the point of keeping this a secret?" Jillyanna asked in confusion.
"That's not the main point. The main point is, I talked to my parents secretly and asked help regarding my proposal. We have been busy and I couldn't find a way to propose to her. I passed my application of marriage to Major General Calhoun already and they are doing their part to help me keep this a secret. After our last two upcoming missions, I will be proposing to her."
"Oh my gosh! Really?!"
"Of course. I don't want anyone else to take her away from me."
"Alright. I will keep this a secret. Make sure that you won't hurt her or I will really beat you up."
"I don't want to be your enemy so I will never hurt her."
They talked a few minutes more about Savannah and how she can help with the engagement. Whenever she found something happy, she would tend to forget that she had a serious illness.
"That is why, you have to get better. I am sure she would want you to attend our wedding. And I would love it if you are around, too."
"Thanks Hawk. I will try my best to be okay."
Not long after they finished their conversation, Riley came out of the orphanage while holding Jade with her hand. The little girl talked to her friends for a while before they waved goodbye to her. Jillyanna opened the car window and looked at the little girl coming to her.
Riley opened the door and let the little girl inside. "Hi little sweetheart. How are you?"
"I'm okay. What about you, big sister? You were sent to the hospital yesterday."
"I am also fine." She lightly pinched the little girl's cheek and kissed her forehead. "You will be coming with us now. Also, don't call me big sister. You can call me mom. I will be your second mother from now on." She made sure to include second to let the child know that she wasn't replacing the position of mother in the child's heart. "The big brother yesterday will now become your second father, so call him dad."
"Okay. I understand." Jade spoke softly in front of Jillyanna. "Mom."
"Yes?"
"Mom."
"I am here."
Just as Travis get inside, Jade cried in Jillyanna's arms. "I have been alone after my mother and baby sister left. No one was willing to take care of me. I called mom, very very long time ago. Inside the big house, there were many brothers and sisters but we don't have a mother and father. Only grandpa Lewis."
Jillyanna rubbed the child's back to comfort her. "Don't worry, when you arrive to our house, you will have a big family."
"I will have uncles and aunties?"
"Yes."
"Grandpa and Grandma, too."
"Yes."
Jade wiped her tears clumsily and looked at Jillyanna. "Thank you, mom." Then, she turned towards Travis and smiled. "Thank you, dad."
"Your welcome. Stop crying now. You will look ugly."
Her sobs turned to hiccups as they set off towards Jillyanna's house. When Travis and Riley left earlier, Jillyanna called everyone so that she can introduce the child to them. It would be great that she would know everyone and get used to seeing them.
