Chasing After My Wife Chapter 419

The next day, Jenny was told to come back home to the Madrid's mansion since she's got no body guard who will keep her safe.
Thomas was told not to go out when there's nothing important to do. Auntie Fei and Auntie Sisi were also informed to stay inside the house and not leave until the guards came back.
Sky and Alex were told to stay at home and not to visit the hospital for the meantime.
Since there weren't that many people to guard them, Lucian was tasked to send and to pick Jenny. Cielo stopped going to work for the meantime to stay at home.
While Lucian was at work, Riley took a day off to guard the Madrid's mansion to keep everyone safe in case someone will come and attack them.
'Hopefully, they won't use bombs or hand grenades.' Riley thought since she doesn't have anything to counter those things. She's good with close combat but she would be at a disadvantage when her enemies will aim fire against her.
Since Winter accompanied her teacher, Valkyrie stayed and guarded Jillyanna's house where Shein and the two helpers were staying. He was also monitoring grandpa and grandma Shan.
Savannah and Hawk stayed in the hospital since most of their friends were hospitalized.
As for Thomas, he didn't need to worry that much. He's got Gabriel who can still shoot someone accurately and their chief security guard, their gardener and Uncle Wesley, were someone retired from the military. They looked ordinary to everyone but only Thomas and Travis knew about their true identities.
"I'll have a meeting with the finance departments later. Would you like to join?" Travis asker to relieve her boredom a little.
"Are you sure?"
"Hn. Just for an hour. I don't want you to have a short-circuited braincells due to numerical figures."

"Hey! I'm not dumb. I graduate in business, too."
"I know. But you've been busy sketching me, fighting with your enemies, dealing with some matters; I don't want you to overuse your braincells."
"Fine. Fine. Just an hour." Jillyanna conceded to him to join the meeting for an hour.
Inside the bus that Winter booked, several men where gathered together and were quite nervous of what was bound to happen to them. They all heard about the betrayal act of their colleagues and the death that befall them. Even if they were men, they also felt scared, not for themselves but for their family.
"What do you think is this skills test? Do you think they are going to examine our fighting skills?" one of the men inquired.
"Probably."
"They were probably alarmed after what happened. After all, boss loves his wife so much. He was even willing to exchange his life for hers."
"They were really idiots. Not only causing harm to their employer and to themselves, but to their families, too."
"I agree with you. We've been working under our boss for a long time and he was always kind to us as long as we do our job properly. I don't really understand why they do that."
"For quick money. I heard they were paid thrice the amount that boss pay us for a month."
"That's what you get for being greedy. You have to pay it with your life."
"What were they dissatisfied about? We are paid $700 per month. Our children went to school with full scholarship from him. Our parents who are ill got medical support from him. We all live in the same apartment complex that he paid the electric bill. Basically, we are only paying our water bills and our daily needs. When we are at work, our food and expenses were all covered. I don't think there's anything missing. With the money I saved up from this work, I can already buy my own house but, I am saving that for my children."

"If you really think about it, we saved up so much from this work. Yes, our life is on the line but it's not everyday that we have enemy tailing us."
Different thoughts and opinions came out from the remaining body guards but one thing stood out the most, Travis was the most warm person that they ever worked with.
As they chatted among themselves, they didn't notice that the bus entered the military training camp, until it stopped in the middle of the vast training ground.
"Everyone, welcome to our training camp." Winter announced when she came out from the bus.
The military personnel who saw her made a respectful salute before going on to their work. The guards who saw what happened was surprised. They didn't know that they'd be sent out to the military training camp.
"Good morning Lieutenant Colonel Avery. Major General Calhoun asked me to give you these." the man in camouflage suit handed her a box with several monitoring badge.
The body guards knew that Winter was working in the military but they didn't know she was a high ranking officer.
Winter handed them the badge, including her teacher, before she explained the details to them. "This badge is your permission to gain access. Without this, you will be immediately sent out of the camp. Another thing, there are specific areas that you can and can't go. If you cross the line to the CAN'T GO areas, you will be sent out immediately. Got it?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Alright. Next, I will introduce to you the person who will conduct your tests." Winter smiled cheekily at them and walked towards her teacher. "This is my and Jillyanna's teacher. She will test all of you. As for her name, you don't need to know it."
The men looked towards the woman beside her and frowned. One brave soul went forward and raised his hand.
"Yes, what is it?" Winter inquired to make sure that there will be no problem.
"Excuse me and I apologize in advance if you find me rude but, teacher, are you blind?"
"Do you have any problem with a blind person?" the woman retorted in a calm manner.
"Not really. I was just kind of worried."
Winter smiled at him while nodding her head. "I understand your point. However, my teacher isn't blind. She will only open her eyes to her worthy opponents. So far, the only person who could do that is your lady boss."
"What?!"
"Really?!"
"That's absurd?!"
"How could she?!"
Winter chuckled upon seeing the surprise, shock and fear crisscrossing their faces and eyes. "I don't mean to scare you but your lady boss is really scary."

I was Reborn as the Villainess but I will become a Great Sage
Nova Allandis, formerly known as Suna Lee, remembers her previous life and realizes her current life is as the villainess in a fantasy novel she once read. However, as Suna, she was the laziest person with no motivation, possibly attributed to the fact that she didn't go into a major that was her strongest suit. Now that she has a high affinity towards magic and wishes to go into it, will she be able to change her lazy self for the better, or will she go back to being lazy like the villainess in the novel? Can she become a Great Sage and live life happily this time? Note: This is not a "revenge of the villainess" novel, but rather a "rise to fame" novel. A/N: This is just an experimental novel and criticisms are much appreciated, but I'm extremely defensive of my own work and characters. If you are here to put down a novel, please remember, first of all, you are not paying anything to read this, and second of all, authors are humans too.
