The next morning, Wynwyn announced the press conference regarding the sudden attack that involve Jillyanna and Riley. These women were known in the society and even if Jillyanna was no longer a celebrity, many people paid attention to her life.

The press conference was to happen at 10 o'clock in the morning. It was a very sudden announcement, yet people from the media didn't spare any effort for the said conference. They were all waiting for it!

The conference was being held in J Entertainment hall. Any events regarding PR would always be held in the same place as long as it involves the J Entertainment artists.

Riley didn't need to attent for the said conference. She had to prepare for her promotion in the afternoon so Wynwyn didn't want her to stress over some petty matters.

"Sis, I have to go now. I still have work in the afternoon." Riley informed Jillyanna after waking up late in the morning.

"Sure sure. Take care of yourself. You didn't get to eat your breakfast, make sure you grab something to eat before going to work." Jillyanna reminded her sister.

Shein just bid his goodbye and went home with Riley. Valkyrie was left all alone with them.

"If you want to check on Brown, just go. We'll be fine here." Jillyanna commented knowing that the man had been worried the whole night.

"Are you sure?"

"Hn. No one will come after what happened last night." she affirmed her statement so that he won't worry about them.

"Thank you. I'll be right back." Valkyrie left as soon as he got the permission and went to the other VIP room to check Brown.

Travis was still working, didn't get a wink of sleep, making Jillyanna felt bad. "Why don't you get some sleep?"

"I'm fine. I need to deal with several matters." Travis refused her suggestion. He was afraid to sleep. He was afraid that once he closed his eyes, someone will come and hurt his precious wife.

Jillyanna took a deep breath and sigh. She walked towards his desk and sat on the chair in front of it. "You've got dark circles under your eyes. I can see that you are sleepy. Why don't you take a rest. I promise, if anything happens, I will scream to wake you up."

"That's not very reassuring." Travis retorted. "It might be too late if I wait for you to scream."

"Nothing will happen today. I'm sure of it." Jillyanna insisted. She didn't know how to prove it but she knew that nothing will happen. "I'll call someone to look after us."

"Who?"

"Uh.." she put her finger on her temple to think about it. "Winter and my teacher."

"Your teacher?" Travis asked to make sure that he heard her correctly. "Your teacher is coming?"

"Hn. I told her to come and attend my wedding. I informed to come in advance so that she can have a tour. Winter should be on her way to pick our teacher."

"If it's your teacher, that is a bit reassuring." he paused for a while and looked at her. "I want you to stay beside me while I sleep."

"Okie dokie." she agreed without any hesitation. As long as he will take a rest, she will do anything to reassure him.

Travis put down his things and closed his laptop. He returned them inside his drawer and locked them.

"Let's go to bed." he pulled him in his arms and led her back to their bed.

Jillyanna followed him and let him do as he pleased. The both of them were lying down on the bed, even though she wasn't sleepy anymore. Travis buried his face on the warmth of her chest and hugged her to sleep.

She was his comfort zone and anything else won't matter as long as she was beside him. It didn't take long for Travis to sleep comfortably in her arms.

When Valkyrie came back, he saw the man snuggling close to his wife. He just smiled at Jillyanna and went out to avoid disturbing them.

The news about the attack had been circulating thus; Cielo and her family knew about it before Lucian could fill them in with information.

Due to Cielo's pregnancy, they didn't set foot to the hospital until the next morning. They brought them food and several vitamins for Jillyanna. Just like Valkyrie, they couldn't bare to disturb the couple.

After making sure that Jillyanna was fine, they left the hospital to give them space. It was enough for them to see that she was doing well. They didn't want to stay any longer and disturb the sleeping man beside her.

Thomas heard about what happened too. He came with Gabriel since Winter left early in the morning. Just like everyone else, they came in and left right after.

Thomas visited Brown and Top as well before leaving the hospital premises.

"She should have let her husband hired the most capable bodyguards! Look at her suffering with this injustice and betrayal now!" an angry woman was walking down the hallway with Winter beside her.

"Teacher, they were the best from the recommended agency. We can't get someone from the military because Uncle Calhoun won't allow it. We already have four military officers with us and we can't abused our power." Winter tried to explain but the woman just snorted.

"Best?! You call it best?! She should have asked her sisters then! They were far better than this incapable men."

"Shh! Keep it low teacher. She would be angry if you disturb her husband."

"Disturb her husband?" the woman was confused and asked.

"She sent me a message that Travis just fell asleep and she didn't want anyone to disturb his sleep. That means, she knew that you'd be loud."

"Tsk!" the woman sneered for the last time before she kept quiet.

They saw Valkyrie sitting on the bench outside while texting Brown who was still bed ridden.

"Lieutenant, you are here." Valkyrie greeted her.

"Hn. Jillyanna was expecting us to come today but I guess that can wait since Travis just got himself some rest." Winter spoke and led her teacher to sit on the space beside Valkyrie. "Teacher, this is Valkyrie." Winter introduced. "Val, this is my and Jillyanna's teacher. I won't tell you her name or she might kill the both of us."

Although he found it weird, Valkyrie just nodded his head and greeted the woman politely. Given Winter's and Jillyanna's strength and fighting skills, it was obvious that the woman was twice stronger than the two female beasts he knew.

Valkyrie told Winter about what happened and what was about to happen. It was better that she was well-informed to make preparations just in case the enemies would take a step against them once again.

"Gather all body guards that Travis hired and let them know that there will be skills tests tomorrow." Winter stated which stunned Valkyrie.

He looked towards Winter before shifting his gaze towards the woman beside him. "Copy that. I'll relay the information now." He stood up and walked to corner to make several phone calls.

Travis hired several men but they were all dispatched to different places to keep several people safe. Therefore, he needed to inform them as soon as possible to gather them.

"Bless their body and souls for the skills tests." Valkyrie prayed in whisper knowing that it won't be Winter who will do it. Most likely, the person who will test the body guards will be her teacher.

It wasn't until lunch time that Travis woke up from hunger. Auntie Fei brought them food while he was asleep and Jillyanna's parents brought some dishes earlier as well.

Since Brown and Top weren't allowed to move so much, Valkyrie brought them food to eat. The other guard who passed out last time was already discharged since he wasn't hit critically. He was currently eating lunch with Top.

"When I found out about their plans, I was already too late." the guard told Top. "They spared me because we've been together for almost two years even when the lady boss wasn't around yet." He looked down towards his hands that were holding his plate of food. "I just don't understand why they betrayed our boss. For a quick money, they exchanged their loyalty. I don't think that was a good deal."

"Don't think too much about it. They were fools for being blinded with a quick reward. Our boss had been kind to us. He didn't let our families suffer. He made sure that we are all living happily and well - provided. Where can you find a boss who will secure your children's education? Where can you find a boss who will make sure that your old parents get proper medical treatment? Where can you find a boss who cares so much about his employees? Only our boss and lady boss can do that." Top stated with great admiration.

Travis might be known as cold and heartless person in the business world but, behind closed doors, he was warm and kind to his people. Only those who betrayed them suffered from his wrath.

"I feel a little sad for the family of those who betrayed him. Not only the traitors suffered but their families, too." the man responded.

"That's why I'm telling you that they were fools. As long as you know what loyalty is, you are in good hands." Top told him before he continued to eat.
