Chasing After My Wife Chapter 400

They arrived at Moonlovers restaurant one after another. Jillyanna looked at the three of them and they avoided her gaze except for Jackie who walked directly to her side.
She did it on purpose so that Jillyanna won't speak to Jenny. "What food does this restaurant have?" she asked her sister while looking at the majestic restaurant with a huge space and unique design.
In all sides of the restaurant were different dishes from different Asian countries. In the middle of the huge hall were long tables and chairs for the customers. It was an all-you-can-eat restaurant and it didn't matter wether you get your food from left to right or from right to left. It all depends on you.
"This is an amazing place. I bet it was brother-in-law who chose this." Jackie commented in which Jillyanna nodded her head.
"Why do you think he chose this place?" Jillyanna asked her knowing how sharp Jackie was.
"Base on your health condition. It was past eleven in the morning when we left the villa. He wouldn't want you to get hungry and at the same time, he wanted to eat in a place with good sanitary. As far as I have observed, this is the nearest restaurant with good hygiene."
"Stop showing off your intelligence." Riley pouted. "We also know that."
"Of course you knew. We are twins after all." Jackie retorted with a chuckle.
They all found a place to sit and placed their belongings on their chair. Winter let Gabriel settled himself and decided to get his food for him.
"I'll be right back. Just wait here and look after my bag for me." Winter reminded him, after getting his approval, she left.
She choose Japanese and Thai cuisines and a little Filipino dishes. She didn't get so much, afraid that they won't be able to finish it. She didn't want to waste the food.
Jillyanna was also staying back at their table while Travis got their food. "Gabriel, how's Winter? She seemed really down. Did you guys fight?"
He shrugged his shoulder, clasped his hands together and put it on the table. "I am wondering about that too. Few days ago, she started acting strange and she spaced out a lot of times. Whenever I asked her if anything's been bothering her, she would say no. I don't really know how to make her talk to me."
Jillyanna frowned. Thinking back to the events earlier, she noticed that Winter opened her mouth multiple times and closed it without saying anything. She could tell that she wanted to say something but she always held back herself.

'Could it be...No..it can't be that, right?' she expressed her doubt mentally while looking at the crowd in a daze. She wanted to believe she was wrong but a little part of her wanted to know that she was right.
She had been praying that she could head again and if her guess was right, it was a good news!
'But why is she keeping that?' she negated her own idea until she saw Gabriel still looking at her. 'That made sense. She wouldn't let anyone know because of him.'
"This is awful." she grumbled and placed her chin at the base of her palm. She looked bored and upset. "Will you leave Winter once she can hear you again? You are just staying because of your guilt, right?"
Gabriel was taken aback at her sudden questions and was at a loss for words. "I..of course not.."
"Why are you stuttering?" Jillyanna added with an imposing behavior. Even though she was just sitting far from him, he could feel the rising anger from her.
"I was surprised with the question." Gabriel admitted. "Deaf or not, I promised not to leave her again. I am not doing this out of guilt as well. Maybe, a little guilty with what happened but all this time, I still love my little Winter."
"I hope you are being honest this time Gab. This is your last chance. I will help you with her but if in any case you'd hurt her again, I won't let you see her, not her shadow or a strand of her hair. My friend had gone through a lot. I don't want her to suffer because of a man again."
"Are you guys having a fight?" Cielo joked upon seeing the tension between them. Lucian was following behind her and threw them a side glance.
"Just a small serious discussion for the security of the wedding." Jillyanna lied without a change on her facial expression. "I want everyone to be safe on that day, specially that it will be attended by several well-known people."
"You can leave that to me and Hawk. I spoke to them about it." Gabriel added to make their lies seemed true.
When Winter got back with two plates of different dishes, Jillyanna tried testing the water.
"Winter, I was just wondering.." She didn't finish her words yet when Winter turned towards her.
Feeling like she fell in to a deep trap, Winter smiled and pushed her plate a little. "Do you want to get this spicy garlic shrimp? I remember that you like this a lot." It sounded a good excuse to cover her sudden response to Jillyanna's call.

Jillyanna waved her hand in front of her. "Travis will be back. You can have yours." She was certain that Winter faced her earlier because she called out her name. Asking about the shrimp was an excuse that she made in a whim.
'She can definitely hear us.' Jillyanna confirmed. 'Well, I'll confirm it with her during her visit tomorrow."
While she was noting some things mentally, Travis arrived with several types of sea foods. "Wow! You are really allowing me to eat these?" Jillyanna asked to make sure that he won't be restricting her.
"Hn. These aren't spicy so it should be fine."
"I don't mind." Jillyanna cheered instantly and got herself a piece of scallops. The juicy meat of the seafood brighten her mood instantly. She got another piece and gave it to him. "Delicious right?"
"Super. Specially when it is you who's feeding me." Travis replied while peeling of the lobsters to get its tender meat. He placed the meat on her plate but Jillyanna would only take a bite and gave him the rest.
No matter what venue or who they were with, they wouldn't cease to flaunt their sweetness. Travis was in-charge of removing the shell while Jillyanna was in-charge of feeding the both of them.
They were so sweet that other people started to feel envious of them. Some of the people who knew them secretly took pictures. Not only them but it also included Riley and Jackie.
Not knowing what happened, the restaurant's staffs were confused as to why there were so many people who came to their restaurant on that day.
They kept coming to the point that there were no more available chairs and tables. Aside from that, they kept taking pictures on table no.11 where Jillyanna and her friends ate their lunch.
"Are the people in no.11 celebrities?" one of the staff asked when she could no longer hold on to her curiosity.
"That pregnant woman is named Jillyanna Madrigal after marrying Travis Madrigal. Before she got married, she was an Internet singer idol. Another thing is the twins. One of them is a celebrity but I don't know which. As for Travis Madrigal, he was known as the youngest successful businessman in city B." replied the other staff who was busy taking pictures too. "I guess, these people came to see them."
"Wow! They would really help someone make a fortune by just showing up."
"I know, right."
"They are so sweet as well."
"Hn. Her husband spoils her a lot. That's what I know from the social media."
Whispers, gossips, clicks of camera and other type of noises made Jillyanna frown. She just wanted to eat in peace but now it was disturbed.
She didn't really mind though but everyone around her will be exposed to the media and their normal life will be affected, too. Most specially, Jenny. She wasn't used to this kind of set up and many people will come to question her.
"I'm full." Jillyanna told Travis before drinking her juice.
"Are you sure?" Travis asked.
"Hn." she leaned closed to him and whispered. "And can't you see how uncomfortable your cousin is from so much noise? She just got her sense of hearing and she was assaulted with so much noise."
"You mean..she can.."
"Shh..I've yet to confirm it." Jillyanna whispered with a smile.
Everyone just finished the food on their plate, unsatisfied with the environment. Even if they still wanted to eat, there were just so many people all around them.
Seeing their displeased expression, the manager took out their bill and put a twenty percent discount.
"What's the discount for?" Jillyanna asked when she saw their bill.
"It's an apology for your disturbed meal ma'am. I can see that the new guests came to see all of you and that affected your meal. It was due to our neglectful attitude that this happened." The manager apologized at them.
"It's not your fault. You don't need to put this discount. It would be bad for you if the owner finds out. Just give us our original bill. I also enjoyed the food here." Jillyanna insisted. It would be great to get a discount but if it wasn't a promotion, it would be troublesome for the manager. She didn't want to put someone in a difficult situation at all when that person wasn't really at fault.
"Please wait a moment ma'am." He printed another receipt and gave it to her. Jillyanna handed Travis' card to pay.
They needed to leave soon or Winter will flip out from so much noise. She had been feeling dizzy and her head was throbbing from pain.
'Oh god! They kept on whispering like a buzzing bees. So annoying!' she exclaimed mentally while pushing Gabriel's wheelchair out of the restaurant. 'I hate this type of noise pollution!' she added angrily.
