Chasing After My Wife Chapter 392

Savannah led them to the topmost floor of the mall where gadgets and other appliances could be found.
"Do you have any brand that you like?" Riley asked her while they check the different computers being displayed.
"I'd like to have the latest model from Dell." Jillyanna mumbled and sat on the couch the she found. She was getting tired from walking and from being upset over some food. It was such a petty reason for a fight but she was really craving for it.
'Wait! Didn't this happen before? I think I'm having a deja vu.' she noted mentally while thinking hard, trying to remember when it happened. But she just couldn't remember it. 'Well, there's no use remembering such stupid matters.' She gave up the idea and asked for a brochure from one of the attending staff.
Soon after, the three slow men arrived and looked around as well. Shein was knowledgable when it comes to computers so Jillyanna just let him chose what he thought was best.
"Are you still upset?" Travis scooted close to her but she also moved farther from him. "I'm sorry." There was still no response from her. "I'll buy spicy food for you. Can you please forgive me?"
Still given a silent treatment. Travis released a deep sigh and stood up.
'What the! He gave up just like that?!' Jillyanna exclaimed angrily but she kept a poker face in front of him. She didn't look at him either.
Travis went out of the shop and called Auntie Fei to prepare something for him. He didn't know if it would work but he will give it a try.
Their friends didn't bother them and get themselves involved in their LQ. They stayed out of it and focused in choosing the computers. Shein ordered ten sets of the latest Dell computer desktop and gave Jillyanna's details.

"Please give me a moment." Shein was currently signing the forms. He took the paper and went to Jillyanna. "Where should these computers be sent to?" he asked his sister while showing the form and receipt.
Jillyanna took the pen and paper and wrote down the address before giving them back to Shein.
"Uhhh..who will pay for this?" Shein asked while scratching the tip of his nose.
Jillyanna opened her purse and took out her own card. She didn't use the card that Travis gave her.
Shein took the card that was handed to him and went back to the sales staff. He completed the procedure and got the card back.
"Make sure to send it on the requested date." Shein reminded the staff.
"Yes, sir." the man gave a light bow and left him to talk to their colleagues for the delivery arrangement.
Jillyanna didn't talk to them at all! After buying the things they needed they all went out of the shop and found Travis still talking to someone over the phone.
"I'll be there later." Travis simply stated and ended the call. "Are you done?" he asked while he pocketed his phone.
"Hn. We're done with all the lists. However, there's something we need to buy. So, we'll be parting our ways here." Savannah mentioned while looking at Brown, Shein and Riley.
"Can I come with you guys?" Jillyanna inquired, her intention of avoiding her husband was as clear as the pure crystal.
It was their turn to be in a predicament. If they said Yes, Jillyanna would know about their plan. If they said No, with her current emotion, she'd be more upset if they'll refuse her.
"Of course." Shein answered cheerfully. "You have to help me pick the gifts that I want to give."

"Right. It would be awkward if I know what gift will be given to me. I'll come with Savy and Brown." Riley added to get themselves out of this awkward moment.
Jillyanna frowned and shifted her eyes between the four of them. 'Something isn't right. Is it just me or are they avoiding me?' she thought to herself while looking at them who only smiled to her in return.
"Okay. I'll come with Shein." Jillyanna adjusted her expression and went to Shein.
Travis who was neglected all this time was feeling aggrieved on the side. "I'll leave you guys alone." He mumbled making sure that Jillyanna would hear him but she only turned a blind eye and continued to ignore him.
Brown took the shopping bags from everyone and gave half of them to Travis. "We'll take this back to the car. Let us know your locations later so we can come and find you."
"Okay." Savannah and Riley responded. Shein only nodded his head while Jillyanna turned her back on them.
She was really upset!
Travis and Brown left and the four of them went to different directions to shop. Shein opened his bluetooth earpiece and Riley did the same. Time to time, he would tell them their location and Jillyanna thought it was to make sure that they won't lose each other. She didn't know that it was a way for them to make sure that they won't run across each other.
"I'll go home first." Travis mentioned to Brown as they walked towards the parking lot. "I have to find ways to get back to her good side."
"How are you planning to do that?" Brown questioned.
"I'll cook for her."
Brown didn't comment on that. He didn't know if it would work and only Travis knows his wife best. He would probably succeed with his cooking skills.
"What time will you go back to the hospital?" Brown inquired so that they can adjust the time of their shopping as well.
"I'll be back around five. Please take care of her."
"Hn. You can count on me." Brown promised while opening the car door. They placed all the things inside before locking the vehicle again.
Travis hailed a taxi to take him home while Brown went back to find Jillyanna. He knew that if anything happens, Riley and Savannah can protect themselves. However, Jillyanna couldn't fight due to her pregnancy and to her current heart condition. Shein didn't know much about fighting so Brown must stay by their side to protect them.
If Lyla knew that Travis left to go home, she would surely take this chance. Sadly, her mole was at the hospital and didn't know what was going on inside the mole. So Jillyanna was out of danger.

Ghostified City
‘Ghostified City’ is a post-dystopian sci-fi tale, set in a fading world that might be a future version of ours, running out on autopilot into oblivion. Adaman Yimmand is a simple robofactory operator in The City who's working with robots and machines every day. He doesn’t even realise that he might not have met another actual human being in years. Everything begins when he breaks his routine for once and enters a bar where he meets Evelith. This pesky other person does not let him go after he has had his -rather terrible- beer, because according to her actual humans are much rarer than he’s aware of. And from then on ‘the genie is out of the bottle and won’t get back in’, to use her words: Adaman meets more people, and gradually he has no choice but to accept that the reality of The City is not what he always thought it was, and to face the darkness of a fading humanity on the brink of self-inflicted extinction. Is there any hope left for him, and for his species? I have selected 'sexual content' and 'traumatising content' to be on the safe side, because there is a stripclub-like venue in the background of the story, and an almost-extinct humanity that has institutionalised suicide which might be disturbing to some. Apart from that it's not really a heavy 'adult' story.('Ghostified City' is my first long story in English as opposed to my native language Dutch, and an earlier version was published on my fiction blog 'Oranderra' until I stopped updating. This is a slightly altered version of the first series.)
