Chasing After My Wife Chapter 389

Few minutes after they took their shower, Jackie and Vincent arrived with several food boxes.
"Sister Cielo asked me to visit their house and get these food for your guys. I told Auntie Fei not to cook your breakfast today." Jackie informed Jillyanna who was sitting on her bed with Travis behind her, drying her hair.
"What time will Shein and Riley arrive?" she asked them since she didn't check her phone earlier.
"When I called, Shein said that they were eating. They should be here when you're done eating your breakfast." Jackie responded. "Are you guys sure that you want me to stay here? I mean, I think I'm more suitable to go out than Riley. She'd be in serious trouble if anyone will notice her."
"She'll be fine. Aside from that, you've been working hard with the training. It would be better if you stay here and relax yourself."
"Okay." Jackie acknowledged without hesitation. "I'll take Vincent to the garden while you guys eat. Just ring me up when you are done."
"Sure. Sure." Jillyanna waved her hand as she watched them walk out of the hospital room. "By the way, Gabriel and Winter were planning to visit us but I told them we are busy at the moment. Maybe they can come on Monday?"
"Monday is fine. We won't be going anywhere." Travis responded before putting the hair dryer back inside the small drawer.
"Time flies so fast. One more week to go and this month will be over." Jillyanna mentioned. "Let's eat now before the food gets cold."
Travis arranged the dishes while she was busy drinking her vitamins. "Right. Cheska told me that the invitation letter were all set and she added Natsu as well."

"I'm a little bit nervous." Jillyanna admitted directly to him. "I'm nervous that something will happen during that day."
"Don't worry about that. I informed Dr. Alison in advance and she made sure to free her schedule on that day. She will attend the wedding to make sure that she can assist you if anything happens."
"You were so busy coordinating with several people for this wedding while I sat her doing nothing."
"Who said you were not doing anything? Your main task is to take a rest and take care of your health for me and for our baby. And you are doing perfectly fine with your task."
Jillyanna smiled happily knowing that he was doing his best to comfort her. "When I planned on having a baby, I never thought of this possible instances. Now that I think about it, it was a blessing that Cheska exposed my plan to Diego, making Diego tell you about it."
"We are destined to meet again and fate has a lot of ways to achieve it." Travis retorted while handing her the spoon and fork. "Let's eat. Shein and Riley will be here in a moment."
The door to her hospital room opened and to their surprise, it wasn't Shein or Riley standing at the door.
"We're back!" different voices echoed in the room.
"Savy!" Jillyanna exclaimed happily as she put down her spoon and fork. "I was just talking to Travis about you guys! I'm glad you are back!"
Savannah walked towards her and hugged her gently. "I'm glad to see that you are safe."
"What could happen to me with Travis by my side? Did you guys eat already?" she looked at Savannah before shifting her gaze to the three men who sat on the couch at the window.

"We grabbed some breakfast on the way." Brown answered. "Are you guys going somewhere?"
"We are going to shop for gifts that we will give to the orphanage." Travis responded. "Do you guys want to come along or would you like to rest?"
"I'd like to tag along. We actually finished the mission a week ago but we stayed in the camp for a week to rest and to finalize the turnover procedure." Savannah raised her hand voluntarily.
"I'll go as well. I need to buy some things." Brown second in motion.
"We'll stay here." Valkyrie and Hawk stated in unison. They still wanted to rest and at the same time take care of the things inside the room. Specially that they noticed the work desk and the laptop on top. It was clear as crystal that Travis was working in Jillyanna's hospital room.
"Okay." Jillyanna replied with a perfunctory remarks before she continued to eat her food.
After half an hour, Shein and Riley finally arrived.
"Oh! You guys are alive!" Shein exclaimed with his wide eyes.
"Did you expect us to die?" Valkyrie inquired with a raised brow.
"Uh huh. After all, the mission that you were sent to was quite dangerous. And if I may say, you even got a wound on her side." Shein didn't sugar coat his words at all.
Riley could only press the space between her eyebrows and drag her boyfriend to sit on the chair beside Jillyanna's hospital bed.
"You should be used to his bluntness by now." Riley spoke while looking at Valkyrie.
"He's really a cheat. Stop invading the military security system." Valkyrie mumbled while pressing his hand on his side. He did get a stab wound but it was already stitched by Brown. It was also one of the reasons why they stayed in the military camp for a week.
"Is it my fault that your system's security is poor? And beside, I only checked it to see where you guys were sent to." Shein responded with light grievances.
"Alright kids. Stop arguing." Jillyanna stated on the side that silenced both Valkyrie and Shein.
She finished her food and put down her spoon and fork. Travis also finished his food and was pouring each glass of water for the two of them.
"Do you want to eat somewhere later? Any cravings?" He asked Jillyanna who was wiping her face with a tissue.
"Hhmm..I want to eat hotpot. Can I?"
"I'll find a good hotpot for you." Travis responded while handing her the glass of water. He would spoil his wife when needed and restrict her when it wasn't good for her. Jillyanna knew it, too. Which was why she loves him every single day of her life.

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). The friends are soon on their way to Calorin but Andrew notices feelings coming from the bracelet, ones that want nothing to do with the strange man. It is just before they arrive at their destination that the bracelet changes everything for Andrew and he finds himself separated from his friends and the strange man. Stuck in the middle of a forest Andrew will need to find out where he is, how to find his friends, and why the bracelet has been acting the way it has. Author's Note:This story is a sidequel/prequel to Artifice: Tools of the Gods. As it only has one or two connected characters there is no need to read one or the other to understand them.
