Chasing After My Wife Chapter 364

When Jillyanna woke up, Travis was sitting on a chair beside her bed. She looked around and found herself in a familiar clinic that they just toured a while ago.
"Did..d-did I just collapsed?!" she asked Travis in surprise and seeing the concern and worry on his face confirmed her guess.
"From now on, everything will be handled by me. You are not allowed to deal with any affairs if it is not concerning your health. You will have to take a rest until you give birth." Travis stated in a calm yet determined manner. He would never let it happen again. He never liked the idea of seeing her collapse in the blink of an eye.
"Don't give me an ultimatum. I am perfectly fine." Jillyanna refuted knowing that she wouldn't be able to endure staying at home and doing nothing. "I'm sorry for making you worry."
Travis looked at her, his eyes restless and he couldn't seem to get her pale face out of his mind. "Jill, please let me take care of you. You don't know how scary it was for me when you suddenly collapsed. I thought you'd leave me for sure."
Jillyanna put her index finger on his lips to stop him from talking. "I know how you feel. Didn't it happen to you not long ago? Didn't you lie in bed for a whole month? I know it's scary but I'd be bored to death if I won't do anything."
Indeed, Jillyanna was right. It was just few months back that he was bed-ridden with no assurance of making it back to the present. She must have been scared at that time.
Since he couldn't refute what she just said, Travis thought of other things that would make Jillyanna stay at home and rest herself.

"Let's go home first. Hawk drove the car in front of the orphanage and is waiting for us." He helped Jillyanna stand on her feet and held her shoulder and waist to keep her steady. "Are you feeling dizzy?"
"No. I am fine now." Jillyanna assured him and smile. When she saw Travis still frowning, she stopped walking and looked at him. "I am really fine. Stop frowning already."
"I just can't help it." Travis sighed and without letting her know what he was about to do, he bent over and placed his one hand behind her knees and the other on her back. He carried her off to the car outside, awaiting them.
Jillyanna just wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled her face on his chest. His warmth and masculine scent were really comforting her.
Travis was about to put her down on the back seat when she tightened her hold on him. "Oh? My dear wife is actually being sweet today. You don't want me to put you down?" Jillyanna shook her head faintly making Travis chuckled this time.
He carefully went inside the car with Jillyanna still in his arms.
"Wow! That big brother carried the big sister. He is very strong." one of the kids who were playing outside saw them and exclaimed.
"The big sister was not feeling well that is why the big brother carried her." the young social worker explained to the child who was still looking at the car.
"If my brothers and sisters get sick, I will also carry them. I'm super extra very strong." the young child stated and was even showing his tender arms.
The social worker just smiled and rubbed the boy's small head.
On the other hand, Atty. Lewis was gave Travis few reminders before he would officially take over the company on Monday. After talking for a few minutes, he watched the car go with a relieved heart. He could finally relax his brain and heart knowing that the company was now in good hands.

Inside the car, Jillyanna didn't mind Savannah and Hawk at all as she was still snuggling in her husband's warm arms.
"Now that I think about it clearly, I agree to taking a rest." Jillyanna murmured in his arms while looking up at him.
Travis was gently caressing her hair and tucking in those that came to her face behind her ear. "But? I can sense that there is a 'but' after your statement."
"But I'll go back home to our house."
"What about Winter?"
"She's having a good start with Gabriel now. If she's willing to come with me, I'll bring her home. If she wanted to stay, then Gabriel will be the one to take care of him."
"Alright. As long as you take a rest and stay at home, I don't really mind. I don't want you to accompany me to the office. It's stressful to see so much work on my desk and I know you would want to help me. So just be good this time and stay at home, okay?"
Even if she didn't want to, Jillyanna still nodded her head and agreed to his condition. "I have something to give you. I always forget it so please remind me once we get home." she whispered which was enough for him to hear.
"What could it be? I'm quite excited." Travis murmured under his breath before kissing her eyes, her eyebrows and her nose.
Jillyanna giggled and covered his mouth with her hand. "It tickles."
"Really? I don't think so." Travis retorted as Jillyanna sat up straight on his lap.
"It does. Let me do it to you in return." Jillyanna held his face and stared directly into his eyes. "Thank you for taking care of me." she states before kissing his right eye. "Thank you for taking care of the people who are important to me." she added before kissing his left eye. "Thank you for taking over my father's company." this corresponds to a kiss on his right eyebrow. "Thank you for understanding me." she kissed his left eyebrow as she said these words. "Thank you for always being there for me." she kissed the tip of his nose as she mentioned this to him with utmost sincerity and gratitude. "I love you Travis." she kissed his forehead before smiling happily at him. "I will always stay with you until death do us part." she kissed her favorite spot which was his chin.
Travis raised his eyebrow but Jillyanna was just blinking her eyes at him. "Didn't you miss another part? Where's my kiss on the lips?"
Jillyanna scratched her face awkwardly and grinned at him. "I ran out of words to say."
"Then why did you kiss my chin instead of my lips?" Travis sulked while holding her steady on her waist.
"Because I like kissing your chin and your jaw. Beside, I'm afraid that you wouldn't stop if I start kissing you. So, I might as well just behave myself and avoid your lips."
Travis really didn't know whether to laugh or cry at her silly response. In the end, he just stole a light kiss on her lips.

Johanna Milton and her friends have an answer: delve into Ancient ruins, avoid Changed beasts and mana pockets, and salvage Ancient materials, collectibles, and trinkets to sell. It pays well if you avoid the perils of the Ancient world. But when they find the skeleton of an Ancient, their lives take a strange turn. Suddenly, Talents straight out of fantasy novels become theirs. While they try to make sense of what happens, eyes turn to them, to the four who seem to break all rules. Or are they merely following them? Because, in the Beyond where he's spent 150 years waiting, one dead Ancient knows the truth. And four people for which he can bring whatever it takes to face the world. Change is coming. The Changed Ones is a slow-burn litrpg fantasy trilogy (Ancient Bones, Ancient Books, Ancient Bonds) set on Earth, 150 years after the RPG Apocalypse... which mostly failed. Keywords: LitRPG, realistic setting, low-leveling, post-post-apocalypse, fantasy earth, slow-burn, secondary POVs, female primary MC, team adventure, worldbuilding. Trigger warnings: casual swearing, adult innuendo (no explicit scenes whatsoever, though). Oh, and potentially a bit of politics. Bonus content: a Litrpg Easter Egg hunt. With lots of eggs across the book, some easy, some hard to find. Current score: 6/20 (20 eggs, 6 found) Publication schedule: on hold until September for book 2.

Almost a Good Person
A memory, a memory of a boy who wanted more than pain, of a girl who wanted more than death, and an Isle that should not exist. The Isle of Red is a small, unassuming, quiet place. It is just large enough for a college, a small town, and maybe even a few more unusual sorts of places. Of course, the townsfolk practically know each other as family. Flush-faced regulars can be found toasting just about anything in the Briar's Brew, then, a few streets away, the same haggle of older women stationed themselves on their perch as they did every day from one of the few balconies in Central Square. They fuss away now, spouting the usual gossip as they watch us all from on high. Then there is the College here on the Isle of Red. My college. It has been often described as an unusual place by a good deal of people on the mainland. If they only would visit -why I am sure they'll soon have a change of heart, they may even come to find it a quaint sort of place, odd but in the same way a tattered old quilt can be both odd looking and warm, and especially soft. We teach mostly the same sort of disciplines here, with fantastic and absolutely normal professors.I must conclude that I am quite smitten with myself. The stage is set with a level of perfection that would have astonished me in my youth. They are coming. Derek will follow her. He knows the weight of reality too intimately, but she will be his true north if only for a short time. A beacon in the storm to show him the stunning pastels and brightness the sun may yet refract through his thinner, sharper pieces. Theoline will lead as she always has- well not always, not yet. She holds onto questions feverishly tight, that one. Lights them up inside like a new type of fuel without the slightest worry of being burned. She knows... There is but a certain few who can look at a map and find nothing where I stand but the Atlantic Ocean. And still, there is earth beneath me, a noisy pub down the road from me, and several people clucking conspiratorially on a balcony above me. She knows... that the Isle of Red doesn't belong here. Neither, technically, do I. (Hello!
