Winter woke up few minutes after Jillyanna, Travis and Brown left. It was still nine in the morning so some of them were still sleeping like Shein.

He didn't have to get up early since Riley wasn't around. He didn't have a princess to serve and the queen Jillyanna only needed her king.

When Valkyrie came down to get his morning coffee, he met Winter in the living room, reading some magazines. He coughed twice to clear his throat before speaking.

"Li..Lieutenant Colonel, did you eat breakfast already?" Even if he's a man, he's really afraid of Winter because she was stronger and skillful than him and she hates men who take advantage of Brown's feminine feature, specifically, she hates Valkyrie.

Winter didn't say anything which left him standing awkwardly. Since he couldn't persuade her to talk then he'll just ignore him. 'It doesn't matter if she won't talk. My task is to just keep her home.' He added mentally before leaving her alone on her own.

Shein came down and saw Winter as well. "Hi Winter! Did you sleep well last night?" Shein's cheerful greeting was met with silence. 'This is really awkward!' he exclaimed mentally but knowing that she was still grieving and sad over Gabriel's situation, he didn't disturb her anymore.

In fact, Winter wasn't really ignoring them. She was just spacing out with the news regarding Gabriel. She was thinking of ways as to how she can leave and find him. She didn't notice Valkyrie and Shein talking to her either.

With her scrambled thoughts and upset heart, she went to the kitchen to get something sweet. "Morning everyone." she greeted Valkyrie and Shein who looked at each other in surprise.

"Good morning." Both men greeted her back.

"Where's everyone else? The house seemed quiet." She commented while looking inside the two refrigerator for any desserts.

"Jackie is still in her room. She's preparing to go somewhere. Hawk and Savannah left early to fetch Thomas and go to the company. Travis, Jillyanna and Brown went to the hospital for a check up." Valkyrie enumerated the events to her. "By the way, we will be tracking the whereabouts of Gabriel, can you help us with some of the task? Brown left so we needed someone to fill in his position."

"Sure. I thought you wouldn't ask for my help." Winter responded happily. If she didn't know where to find him, it would be a waste to just go in Pantar blindly. She decided to find his location first before she'll leave to look for him.

As they talk, Jackie came down with a brown envelope containing some documents that she needed. She went to the kitchen first to get breakfast.

"Diamond-hearted-Jackie, come and eat breakfast before you leave." Valkyrie told her, gesturing her to sit on a vacant chair.

"Are you really doing this?" Shein asked Jackie which left the other two people confused. They didn't know what Shein meant at all.

Jackie just nodded her head in silence, scooping some fried rice on her plate, picking a roll of omelette and hotdog. "I've always wanted to do this and I'm glad I get this chance."

"When will you start?" Shein asked again leaving Winter and Valkyrie out of the conversation.

"I'll be starting next week. I'll join the qualifications' training before classes start next semester."

"Did you tell Riley?"

"I spoke to her last night."

Shein didn't ask anymore. Perhaps she's taking a dangerous profession, but at the very least, it's decent. They just continued to eat in silence.

Jackie finished her breakfast as soon as she can. She went back to her room and brushed her teeth before coming down again. "I'm leaving now. Take care of the house."

"Take care of yourself." Winter reminded her while watching the youngster jogged out of the house. She spun around and looked at the two men behind her. "It's time to do our job."

The three of them went inside the study room and started tracking Gabriel again. Checking all possible areas that he could be staying.

Jackie drover her car to the Police Academy and met Lucian at the gate. He will be helping her with the procedure to get herself into the academy.

"Are you sure with your decision?" Lucian asked her while they walked to the administration's office.

"Hn. I won't regret this decision no matter what."

"Would you like to stay in the dorm or would you like to commute everyday?"

"I'll be staying in the dorm."

"Good luck with the training. Once the three months time of training is over, you will have an examination before you can join the class. Do your best!" Lucian encouraged her which made Jackie smile. She was glad that someone was there to cheer for her.

Lucian and Jackie went all through the procedure and she handed her documents for validation. Everything went smoothly and she was finally given her dorm card as well as her badge ID before the day ended.

"Thank you so much for coming with me here brother Lucian. Since it's almost night time, would you like to have dinner before going home? We can fetch sister Cielo as well."

"Hn. That would be great. Let me call her so that she could wrap up her work."

And just like that, Jackie entered the Police Academy. She wasn't worried about bumping with Vincent in the school campus at all. First, she's still a trainee. Second, Vincent only gave lectures to regular students. Third, she will never show up her face on the same ground as him.

'Why am I even doing this foolish thing?!' Jackie questioned herself in mockery. 'I'm doing this for myself. I'm not doing this for a man. I'm definitely doing this for myself! Definitely!'

She walked briskly towards the parking lot when she bumped on to someone. "What the he..heck.." she slowed down her speech when she gaze into the most familiar eyes. "What the heck is your problem?! Don't touch me!" she slapped the hands that were holding her waist and walked away. 'Good Lord, why did he show up in front of me?'

Vincent could only smile while watching the woman walk away from him. "You showed up again in my life. I'll never let you go no matter what happens."
